I am using the Apple Magic Touchpad/mouse instead of a conventional mouse. Left Click (Tap one finger), Right Click (Tap with two fingers) and Scroll by sliding two fingers. Other three and four finger actions as well!About twice the size of an average laptop touchpad and one hand operation (as no buttons to press). Nice match with my Apple Key-board.The Magic Touchpad was quickly recognised by my Mac Mini and sensitivity/ touch preferences easily set up.One caution - I have applied a smear of vaseline to the bodies of the two AA batteries, to ensure they will slide out in future, because when I bought my Magic Touchpad (second-hand), the batteries had leaked and corroded inside the aluminium (tube)body. The only way I found to extract the corroded batteries was to drill the end of each, fit a screw and pull hard! Easily cleaned up with vaseline and now perfect. So well worth replacing batteries when they have drained!I would recommend this device to others, it only takes a short while for using the trackpad/mouse intuitively.Read full review...

This was purchased to replace my apple magic mouse as I wanted to be able to take full advantage of the multi-touch features in os X. It was a difficult decision as I was't sure whether the trackpad would be able to match the mouse for accuracy as I do a lot of photo editing in lightroom. After using the trackpad for over a month now I can say that I far supposed my expectations regarding ease of sue, the multi-touch gestures make my whole workflow more fluid, gestures such as using 3 fingers to adjust sliders etc really speed things up. For really precise applications such as intensive photoshop use or for a graphics designer, you may want to consider keeping your mouse for those purposes but for most people the trackpad offers a well-built alternative and my partner, who suffers from rsi easily, now finds the mac so much more comfortable to use.Read full review...

For those of us with macbook’s the pad offers significant benefits over it’s alternatives. I love having the same control over the iMac. To say it is good value would be remiss but ‘we pays our money and we takes our choice’. I wish I could say that the track pad makes other input devices obsolete but sadly I find myself alternating between a mouse and this leaving the two connected. At the time of writing my office is cool and the trackpad surface cold to the touch. Pathetic as that may sound, it is enough to deter from its use on a winters day in the UK. Would I buy one again. Yes.. The improvement in efficiency of workflow is well worth it.

If you own a Macbook that gets used as a desktop replacement, the trackpad provided all the multitouch gestures that you are missing in clamshell mode.I have to say the Bluetooth experience on Apple Mac's is great and the trackpad is no exception. glass toped with an aluminium body the build quality is there as well providing a long battery life .With the trackpad positioned between my keyboard and mouse it gets used for day to day pointer movement, so much so that I only switch to the mouse when the additional accuracy is required. They are very expensive brand new, so look for a second hand or new and unwanted at a good price.

I bought this after buying a large monitor - using a Kensington expert trackball became like bowling! Initial response was mixed as you do need to learn to co-ordinate between one, two and three fingers for various functions and to apply different pressures. Worth persevering though because it is now the most natural, easy and intuitive (that horrible Apple Mac word again....) input device. It is really delightful, almost sensual! to use.The Kensington expert track ball (a brilliant piece of kit in its own right) and all Apple mice are now gathering dust in the corner. Would never go back to any of them.

I've just discovered this product a few days ago when I bought it. Didn't know what to expect from it, being a mouse user for so many years. After an initial training it seems that this baby can do a lot of things. I would say it is extremely sensitive and responsive and that's something that I just love. I also bough a Magic Wand adapter which I fitted in seconds. Now i am a happy camper. Simply brilliant. And the winning price was a bargain.

It's an Apple trackpad. What more can I say? Works out of the box and allows multi-finger gestures. There's zero hassle, just so long as you have a Mac with Bluetooth. And it's better than its successor, inasmuch as it doesn't have a non-replaceable battery, but can use two rechargeable AA batteries such as Eneloops. Big environmental win!

Love both the look and the feel of this trackpad. Infinitely superior to the built-in unit of both a Macbook and a Macbook Air I have paired it to. Perfect companion to the standalone apple keyboard I use it with. The only downside I have experienced is that it tends to go heavy on batteries (2 x AA), so I have switched to reachargeables.

I was recommended to "lift" my laptop to help some neck pain and so required separate keyboard and trackpad on the desk. This product has proven ideal. The action is a bit more 'clunky' than the built in trackpad on the MacBook Pro but, after a little use, one readily and easily adjusts.

It is a very useful device, it is much more useful than the built one for mac laptops. However, I was a little disappointed with the Magic touchpad applications with my macbook as there is already an inbuilt touchpad on the computer so I would not recommend this for macbook.

Not like all other traditionel mices where you need to move your hand around and have the right underlay and use left or right bottoms to clik . With the magic track pad you just plase it where you wan't and can now controll all with 1-2-3-4 fingers all after your wishes.

Makes the mouse obsolete!Massive array of multi touch actions, sleek, sensitive and does everything it was designed to do.Battery life is so far much longer than battery mice and I have nothing bad to say about this product.Typical Apple product, Flawless.

Arrived very speedily - well ahead of advertised time. It is exactly what I wanted and as described. The sore wrist I have developed whilst using a a magic mouse is not being made worse - so I have every expectation that, over time, this will get better.

Bought originally to use as a wireless trackpad to control my Mac from my sofa when plugged into the TV along with the wireless keyboard. Takes little getting used to, and works perfectly. I now use it as a permenant solution to the mouse unless gaming.

awsome bit of kit typical apple coolness, there is nothing like this in the market, combined with the bluetooth keyboard and wand from twelve south this makes a great item to have lying around the loung so we can surf via the mac mini server
