I've read a lot of negative reviews about this mouse which caused me pause to upgrade from my old one. However, having now taken the plunge I'm pleased to say it's an excellent upgrade and this mouse performs brilliantly. Apple products are not perfect and the pricing is premium, but the support is the best in the business and I would have no hesitation recommending this mouse. Rechargeable batteries are so much better than the old version and yes, you can't use it while it's recharging but I don't really use my phone while it's recharging either and the battery time on this is long - so I don't get all the moaning reviews. There's a lot of new gestures you can do with this though I mainly use it for presenting and I love the fact that I can swipe left and right to easily move forward and backwards through the deck. No clicking!Read full review...

I have had amagic mouse for a long time so the experience is not a new one for me. It is easy to use as it is lightweight and smooth. It is also wireless which is very convenient. The difference between this and my previous magic mouse is that it has a rechargeable battery. I used to struggle with opening and closing the battery compartment every time they needed changing, now there is no need, just plug it in to recharge. Full price, this is more expensive than a lot of other products but, to me, it is worth paying the extra.

I had the original Magic Mouse & this upgrade works seamlessly with the MacBook Pro. Smooth travel, very responsive. I like the touch pad on top, and find it very useful. For me, the low profile is great, and the simplicity of control. Some may not like this. Personal preference. There was a lot of internet outrage re the charging port being on the base...while it’s an odd choice by Apple, you can literally charge it while you make a cuppa and it will have enough for about 2-3 days. Recommend.

This Magic Mouse 2 replaced my old battery driven mouse. It looks and feels identical to the old model although I do feel it a little more responses. The rechargeable aspect is great, as the older model suffered from poor battery connection at times. (A well known fault!).The only irritating aspect is that Apple only supply a "lightning" to USB lead so you have to buy an additional USB to USB-C converter if you are charging it up through the New MacBook Pro. Otherwise, a good piece of kit.

So it’s expensive. And the charging port is on the bottom. But really it needs charging every few weeks for me, so I just leave it overnight every so often and it’s charged in the morning by the next time I use it.I can’t work without horizontal scrolling and the 2 direction touch surface on this mouse provides this as well as the two buttons and normal mouse movement allowing me to zoom and scroll around in two dimensions whilst also moving the pointerWorks with a PC with right drivers

I bought this mouse when my Magic Mouse 1 broke. It had been reliable for a good 4 years with my only gripe about it being the lack of rechargeable battery built in. In steps the Magic Mouse 2!Not so much an upgrade, more of a side-grade if you like but a welcome side-grade none the less. It feels more solid. The click is less loud, yet still nice and firm and the new feet seem to keep it more planted. The battery life is phenomenal! I've charged it once in 2 weeks and it's still at 70%.

Typical Apple product, great design and reliable. I had to update my operating system in order to use which wasn’t an issue but good to remember otherwise it won’t pair. Uses usb power which is an upgrade to the previous model which used AA batteries. I’m using it with my MacBook Pro. Took a while to get into the habit of using the mouse rather than the track pad. It took 2 mins to learn the commands and if you prefer to customise the commands this is easy to do. I highly recommend.

Great mouse. The touch scrolling is essential to my work as a graphic designer and developer scrolling easily through big Photoshop and Indesign documents. The lightning charge point on the bottom is slightly annoying as you have to turn the mouse up side down to charge it, rendering it unusable during charge times. But battery life is very good and you have plenty of warning to charge when it gets low. This is a minor complaint as the general use of the mouse is second to none.

I brought this mouse for my MacBook pro and at first use it was very sensitive. after adjusting its settings it slowly started to show its worth. In system preferences your given a lot of options to tailor the mouse to your needs which makes it very flexible, however one annoying thing is the charger. When it needs charging you have to let it charge, since the socket is located underneath the mouse itself. Its inconveient but the battery does last for a very long time.

I initially bought a cheap £10 mouse but got frustrated with it and returned it the day after and exchanges it for this. When I first got this mouse, its slim profile was very annoying to my large hands. This took a while to get used to but now I don't even notice it anymore. The multitouch features work a charm with macOS and being able to scroll smoothly and sideways is always useful. You can also download third-party apps to customise your own multi touch gestures.

You won't find another mouse like this. The glass top is a touch pad too so you can double tap to zoom and run your finger over the glass like you would on your phone to scroll pages and more.I charged my apple mouse overnight on the 15th June and today 7th July i have 78% battery left and i use my mac a few hours every day.It has a On and Off button on the bottom and the mouse and a charging port that is on the underneath so you can't charge while you use.

We had our last Apple Mouse for over 6 years - sadly it's demise was due to my fault after dropping it a number of times. This one was quite magical in that it didn't require batteries and worked immediately once the keyboard found it. Brilliant! It's expensive but the computer wouldn't work without it and if that's what it costs to get an AppleMac to work - thats what you pay for. Next time it should last a lot longer as I am not to use it as a projectile!.

There was no alternative that came close when replacing my Apple mouse 1 (which packed up after 6 years). It’s an incredibly responsive mouse with a comfortable shape and feel, ideal for casual use. The connection is stable and the multitouch surface is brilliant in combination with OSX. The charging design is disappointing but a single charge will last a week of casual use and so far I’ve never had an issues plugging it in at night when I remember to.

I bought this recently as have now started working from home on my MacBook Air. This mouse is nothing like anything else I've used, it is beautifully designed and is so intuitive it feels like an extension of your hand. You can add/change the settings to customise it for your needs. The battery lasts for ages and charges up quickly. If you are doing a lot of work on a laptop or computer I strongly recommend it. It is pricey but worth the extra money.

I'm a bit of an apple fan so might be biased but this mouse is really awesome. The track ball on the top of my previous mouse would get grubby and stop working, this mouse has a smooth surface and senses your finger movements as if by magic! Works exactly like it should with loads more functions than my previous wired mouse. Seems very reliable, it's rechargeable and easy to set up. The only downside? £90 magically disappeared from my bank account.
