Anatomical models can be so expensive, so this is very competitive and great value. I immediately removed the silicone ligaments as I don't think they are particularly detailed and obscure bones/joints. By using plasticene or modelling clay you can recreate these in greater detail at a later point and learn more in the process. The metatarsals are bolted together which reduces flexibility, but this also makes it slightly easier to model anatomical structures onto it. You could always cut through that if necessary (although I may purchase a second unit for that purpose).The whole construct is mounted onto the base via a short rod which slots into the calcaneus; simply lifts off which is very convenient.

This made a nice present for my son, who is studying to become a podiatrist. It can be used to help a student understand the parts of the foot better but is also a goοd decoration for a medical practice. My only complaint is that the silver rod that connects the foot to the stand was a bit corroded on the one I received.

For the price this is perfect really, i read the previous reviews and decided to buy it, as the others have said, the ligaments are not that great, but they come off with a bit of a tug. I'm an Orthotist and i use this to demonstrate to patients the anatomy of the foot and for the price its great quality, cant go wrong.

I started a BSc in podiatry in September 2012 this has helped me with my studies so much, although I did actually remove the ligaments on there it build the muscles on there.It is amazing as well as I had not expected the foot to supernate or pronate so it was a pleasant surprise.Thank you so much.

This model is well made and demonstrates brilliantly the anatomy of the distal tibia and fibula, ankle joint and whole foot. I would recommend removing the attached ligaments, this allows much better views of the joints and bone conformation.Surprisingly good quality at this low price.

Daughter needed the foot for her podiatry course and this seemingly fits the bill. You don't need to be well heeled to afford this item so no needing a loan to bridge the financial gap...........sorry

Excellent value for money - wpould have 5 stars if the ligaments were mor anatonically correct and some of the major ones are missing but as demonstartion model for customers if good

Good item, at an excellent price.Arrived quickly and in good order.The foot is for my daughter, who is about to start studying Podiatry, and it should do a good job.

Better once I removed the muscles but sort of the springs seem a little weak and stick out which can be a painful moment if not paying attention
