I bought this because I've had sinus problems & post-nasal drip for a few months and I thought this might help. I am very happy with it. It's easy to use (there are videos online if you really get stuck), and it's very quiet. It does seem to have helped with my sinus problems. The only criticism is that the LED light on the switch is very bright in a dark bedroom, but I put some black electrical tape around the knob and that blocks most of it out, so not really an issue.Delivery was quick.

perfect put in bedroom as I have trouble sleeping at night I read that dry air could be a problem when sleeping I thought I’d try this vicks model with the vapour pads have a hydrometer the humidity in the room prior to use was 30% ideally it wants to be 45 for good humidity Used all night and the humidity was 70% also I had slept most of the night without waking up the same for the last 5 nights it makes a slight hum buzz but once asleep it’s not noticeable but can be irritating till asleep

It created a calming atmosphere in his room however he didn't like the noise (very loud) and I had to turn on once he was asleep and turn off in the night when he woke up, however, he sleep better than the night before and hardly coughed. I then used it the following week for a whole week as I caught his bug and am pregnant so couldn't use much else. Only problem is it was very noisy and smell was so mild. Quite expensive and would have preferred a cheaper one but not available from Argos.

I bought this humidifier for a friend. It is a good product, but I have reservations. Like most of similar products on the market, this one has a light that cannot be switched off. Additionally, the ultrasonics that operate it click on and off during the time it is operating. My friend is a light sleeper and was continually awakened by this sound, and she also found the light disturbing as she need to sleep in the dark. If the sound and light are not a problem, then I would recommend it.

I had a research on Humidifiers when I had a really bad sinus infection, and decided to plump with the name I recognised, Vicks, I'm really glad I bought it, it was on 24-7 for a couple of days and really helped me to breathe, especially at night. I can't tell you how the menthol pad smelled, but my partner said it was gentle, not overpowering. It lasts on the same water tank for ages, depending on the level. Only shame is you can't add oils, only the pads. But I'm very pleased with it!

This is a great buy.It's easy to fill and quite quiet. If you put the switch on full you can hear it more. It gives a good even mist and doesn't soaken anything. I have sinus and it helps to stop the room dry out. Careful with the water tank swivel stopper. I managed to jam the last one quite easily. This is a replacement. It has a good funnel to position the most and get it in the direction you want it to go. It's probably very good value the money I paid for it.

I have asthma and this heat makes the air very dry I have it in the bedroom at night and it is good I mean really good quiet and with the Vic filter makes breathing loads better Quiet as just a motor in the bottom about the same noise as a ext harddrive solid state ones so don't disturb you while you sleep. Helps reduce mould to . And most of all with c heating in in winter which drys the air this will help u in one room I move mine around all day no wetness any where..

Bought this for my 2 year old as he was struggling to sleep with a cough. I put this on the lowest setting and it was more than enough humidity in room. ( he has box room) only used 1/2 tank water for whole night! Also, I purchased the paediatric versions of the menthol pads that you place in little opening at front. These helped considerably. Overall an absolutely fantastic piece of kit. But expensive but I'd pay anything for a good night sleep! Would highly recommend.

Bought this to help with my eczema and dry skin, as central heating and fireplace make my house incredibly dry. Really does make a difference! The humidifier itself is a handy size to move around, and very easy to set up and fill. Could be doing with a gauge to tell me how humid or not the room is as I had to buy a separate one, but for the price it is not bad at all. It's a little small to make a difference for bigger rooms but again, very good for price.

I originally bought the smaller vicks himidifier but it broke down and as I returned it back to the store, the til lady was very kind and gave us a discount so we could have this one with almost the same price since we desperately needed one. The humidifier is great, it cleared my baby's nose enough so he could breath in his sleep and calmed down his coughing a lot. It is a bit noisy for my taste but my baby doesnt seem to mind. All and all very happy

Bought this as i have central hearing throughout, and always wake with nasal congestion and dry throat, i also suffer from asthma so bought this to see if it helps with the dry heat, wouldnt say takes it away completely but does help, have noticed a difference and u can adjust the setting from low to high to suit your requirements.The noise level is bareable, and leaves your room smelling of menthol and eucalyptus when you use the vapo pads with it.

Brought this to try and ease coughing sessions which my mother experiences periodically through the night. I have to say since using this she has not been woken by coughing at all. I haven't used the Vicks pads yet just with water for a plain mist. The unit is adjustable to the amount of mist you want coming out having adjustable dial on the front, its quite and is easy to fill with water and has not disturbed her sleep at all. So far so good.

this unit is very good if you sleep in a room that might be slightly stuffy it's also excellent if you have a cold or flu or blocked sinuses and you want to sleep and breathe better I certainly found the most important thing was I didn't have a disruptive sleep when I used this unit whereas before I would wake up about 5 or 6 times a night.I recommended it but it is not completely quiet but that didn't affect me because I wear earplugs anyway.

I bought this humidifier to help with my night time breathing. It works great, has an adjustable settling, so you can control how much humidity the room has. Nice and easy to refill with a handle for easy reassembling. The only downside is that within just a few days i noticed mold starting to appear and it isn't the easiest to clean out with the odd shape. I have bought a protec cleaning fish now, so i am hoping this is no longer an issue.

Works as described but I definitely advise using distilled water instead of tap water.Using tap water leaves a chalky layer of dust coating all surfaces that the vapour reaches, this dust as I later found out is the minerals from the water (a bit like finely powdered lime scale) and I didn't want this dust in my baby's room, it's also a pain to clean away because it sticks to everything.Works perfectly with distilled water though.
