I thought this sounded a little naff at first, to be honest. Who wants to stick this in their hair and get it all tangled when a finger will do? Curious, I bought one anyway...Oh, how drastically wrong I was. How ashamed I am to think what I've been missing out on all this time! Now, I wouldn't say this was a particularly brilliant product as a "firm" massager, it's a little on the feeble side for that and it doesn't vibrate (boo hoo!), but it certainly does the trick when it comes to the all over spine-tingling effect it had on me. Which, incidentally, is exactly what is supposed to happen since it's the tingling sensation that relaxes and re-energises as it improves circulation and lympthatic drainage in a natural and holistic way.Ideal for when you have a headache, but lovely all over -- especially the neck! I have to say that I also would love to find out what the vibrating head messagers are like now."Don't scratch your head, you'll get splinters" -- well not anymore I won't! In fact, I'll never look at another head massager in quite the same way again. If anything, it's a great stress reliever.

I've always been a bit speculative about these head massagers but after actually trying one in a shop (probably not the most hygeinic thing I've ever done) I was converted. I decided to buy one for my girlfriend for her birthday but really it was a gift for both of us.I was surprised how cheap they were. I wasn't really looking for a cheap one, I was willing to pay more for a better one but it seems that more expensive just do fancy things like vibrate and I didn't particularly want it to do that. The product features do claim that it can "Relax stressed muscles". I'm not too sure about this one. To me it just feels really good, I don't think it has any real effect on your muscles or body apart from a relaxing, tickly feeling. Especially if you're one of those people that like people playing with your hair. All in all, very good value for money and you'll be in the good books with your partner. Definitely worth a few quid. Enjoy.

This is a great massager ...when you first use it you will really feel those hairs on the back of your neck stand up!! its very relaxing and pleasurable to use ..ive also ued it on my Tom Cat "Monty" and he really likes the gentle pressure especially around his tail and will purr in delight ...so its good for pussies and doggies and other animals ..My only wish or topper to this item is that someone could use it on me instead of me using it on myself ..even so you will drift off and get lost in the bliss of it all even if thats just 10 mins till your body realizes its yourself thats using it and your hand and arm gets a bit tired ...and you have to stop !but all in all a super buy i have got two of them one to give as a present but i havent found anyone worth inflicting the pleasure to yet ..and i remain hopeful ...

Okay, this is one of those things you're either going to love or hate. Easy to use, you simply put it over your head, and move it up and down with one hand. The little prongs then gently run up and down your scalp in a massaging-type action- at this point, it'll feel either good and tingly, or more like somebody dumped an ant farm on your head! The only drawback if you do like it, is that you have to expend energy using it, so I suggest getting someone to do it for you if you're lucky enough.I say give it a try- many like it and its not much of a gamble either. Other self-help products I liked include Treat Your Own Spinal Stenosis if you have a stiff and sore back.

LOVE IT. I got this for my partner as he's always really nice and rubs my feet for me when I come in from work. He doesn't really like foot rubs or shoulder massages so I got him this. He absolutely loves it. Its really easy to use on him as he has quite short hair. I have very long hair and it does work on me but not as well it can cause knots in long hair.I can only fault it on the strength of the arms. They are very thin metal and bend very easily. But then i suppose they have to be for it to be so light. After using it for a few months we found it lost its shape a bit but it still works okay. As they are such good value for money I'm going to order another one.

This is the one I wanted!I previously ordered a different one from other seller that vibrates, but the prongs are so stiff and hard that I cant even get it over my scalp.Ordered the Genie- and it arrived yeaterday. It feeels amazing. Feels like the one I tried at my mothers house previously and the prongs glide softly and easy over my whole head.Mainly got it to see if it will help stimulate my scalp for hair growth; pretty sure it helps with circulation on the scalp as it feels all nice and warm after 5mins use of Genie. If you are going to buy one of these types of head massagers definitely go for this one!

This strange looking gadget resembles an egg whisk gone wrong, but when you know what to do with it, it's fantastic for elevating your mood and relaxing your body. The idea is to place the head massager on the top of your head and press it downwards, then draw it upwards repeatedly. This is far, far better if someone else does it for you. The action stimulates masses of nerve endings and make you tingle all over - it's a totally amazing sensation. (Actually is lifts my mood and makes me giggle as well as giving immensely relaxing pleasure.) Highly recommended for all.I bought five and have made presents of them.

We first saw this product in of the shops on the high street and tried it, we liked it and wanted to buy one. So ordered it form Amazon. The product arrived on time as usual. But when we opened the item it was a little clumsy and not of the same quality as the one we had seen in the shops (probably because the one in the shops was a little expensive) and the claws were a little out of shape when we received it and we had to bend it to come into shape to fit the head correctly. Now I use it very rarely but my wife likes it and uses very often. Basically, it does its job and for £2 it is ok to have one for fun.

This is such a good product for the money! When i saw it was selling for just over £2 i thought i'd give it a go. I didn't think it would work too well since i was using it on myself but it really is good. It gives such a good tingling sensation! Its soo good and so well priced ive bought another one now for a stocking filler. Also this would be great as a secret santa present. I have no idea why people have given this low reviews! Ive had mine a while and its lasted fine, even if it doesn't for you its only a few quid for another. This is definitely a must have, great for relaxing!

Produces very nice tingling sensation for the first few seconds, and a wake up tonic feeling, releases tension behind the eyes. But much of the effect wears off after a couple of minutes. Also seems to work best with a short head scratching movement rather than jabbing (which might explain some reviewers' varied experiences).Tried it on the dog and the cat, on the back of the head and neck. Both shut their eyes in ecstasy and turned to look at me reproachfully when I stopped. So maybe there is something to it...

Bought the genie having seen similar items being used in shopping centre demonstrations. Tried it on my husband first, he just loves it, sends him all squishy and sleepy. Then he tried it on me and it just freaked me out, felt like a large number of insects crawling over my scalp and I can't stand it. We're keeping it for the man in the house, but if it were just for me, I'd have lamped it in the bin. It's cheap enough to be worth a try, even if you don't like, it, take it to work/school and watch the reactions!!

I bought this as a gift for my mother, after trying it myself I went on to purchase one for myself and sister. It is a brilliant gadget, I am prone to getting headaches but this really relaxes you and is brilliant for relieving tension. Works well when you use it yourself but when someone does it for you it is amazing, so easy to drift off. Makes you super relaxed. If mine ever breaks I will definitely replace it.

Someone demonstrated theirs on me and it was spine-tinglingly amazing. Literally the little hairs on the back of my neck stood-up and it was ecstasy. When the demo ended I wanted more so tried to do it to myself, but it just wasn't the same. The moment I got near a computer I ordered one for my wife for Valentine's Day; this is far better than a bunch of flowers and hopefully she'll do it back to me too!

This massager does exactly what is says. For a brief few seconds, the sensation it creates on your scalp is odd and gives you goosebumps but soon after, you can't get enough of it! It relieves all the tension in your head that you were previously unaware of, sends tickly shivers down your spine and gives an overall "feel good" experience. I was very glad to have bought this, well worth the money!

What an amazing piece of equipment. I bought this just as a stocking filler for my partner, who now cannot get enough of it and rates it as his best present ever. His family have already ordered one each since trying it on boxing day! No idea how it works, but the prongs stimulate every nerve on your head, sending shivers of pleasure down your entire body......amazing!
