Don't be put off by the German instructions, I've translated them for you and have added my own tips from past experiences!Step 1 - fill the tank with roughly 1litre of distilled or bottled water (much more effective than tap water)*for maximum hatching place the tank by a window and leave water to adjust to room temperature for at least 3hours*Step 2) add the egg sachet into the tank and stir for about 10seconds: the eggs take at least 18hours to hatch so don't be alarmed if it takes a couple of days before anything happens!*until they hatch stir at least twice a day and oxyginate the water using the pipette once a day.By stiring the water you are helping break down the egg shells (some are thicker than others)*Step 3 - when you notice little white specs swimming about DO NOT feed them straight away as it can cause them to suffercate and die: wait 2-3days so it gives chance for all the eggs to hatch. Start off by feeding them a little bit and progress in the amount you feed them the bigger they get and more hungrier they get.*after 5 days of feeding them you may notice they are eating all the food straight away, this is a sign that you should start feeding them during the day as well, start by feeding them morning and night but each triops packet is different so do what you feel is neccessary but I wouldn't advise more than 3times a day*Tip - you may notice that there are more than one species of shrimp that have hatched, including the Triops: these could vary to - Fairy Shrimp, Water Fleas, Cyclops, Brine Shrimp and many more, however these all make tasty treats for Triops so don't be alarmed if they get eaten!Step 4 - as you know your eggs have hatched by now, make sure you oxyginate the water at least once a day (most effective after you've fed them as it helps break the food up)*if you ever run out of Triops food you can order food on amazon - Sea Monkeys and Water Dragons eat the same food so you can but that food. However I've also learnt that buying tropical fish pellets, NOT Goldfish pellets, and crushing them up they also thrive and enjoy this food*Step 5 - if you've reached the 2week mark you may start to notice your Triops breeding, if you do become over run with lots of triops eggs you can buy a seperate tank or container and transfer some of the babies into it. (Using the pipette whilst their still small enough to fit inside it is the best method).*use distilled or bottle water the same&very important to leave at room temp. For a few hours this time*Now you know everything enjoy the Triops and create a thriving dino colony!Hope the instructions and tips helped :) x

Absolutely fantastic set. As a child I had three different triops set between the prices of £15-£30. In only one of them was I successful in hatching just one triop. With this very inexpensive kit I was able to hatch 4 so far! Depending on whether they decide to eat each other or not.. I also purchased a thermometer and very inexpensive heating mat which keeps the tray at a minimum temperature of 20 degrees. The only light I use is natural day light in the window. I was concerned that the temperature was too cold but was unable to get it any hotter. Still to my surprise the triops are thriving! However, I waited till day 6 to feed them instead of day 3 or 4 like most sets recommended. The instructions are in German but the internet will have better advice than the instructions from triop kits anyway. Definitely recommend this set along with a heating mat and thermometer. It’s a lovely distraction from the the worlds current situation.

Great set. Four triops make it to adulthood, and the last lived the full 6 weeks of their maximum lifespan. I'm hoping for good results from the second half of the eggsThe tank was good when they were young, but seemed quite small as the triops grew. I transferred them to a large tupperware container instead, but this isn't necessarily essential. All the other items included in the kit seemed useful and well made

We thought it was rubbish as we didn't get anything until about 4 weeks later I finally told my little one we had to get rid and he squealed in excitement as there was a couple there. 3 weeks later we was inundated with them there was hundreds! We also only used half the bag.

Although it is what it says all the instructions were in German and as I don't read or speak German it was difficult to find the correct way to set up.

Mine never hatched but will be keeping the set up and getting some more eggs.
