At first sight the box appears quite small but upon opening it you find 8 panels of highly detailed and perfectly cut lazer cut parts. Its obvious from the word go that this is not going to be a 5 minute build. With the panels is a pack of cocktail sticks and some rubber bands. Building is a joy as the parts are so accurate. You really dont need glue, its all push fit and or held together with pegs. You do need a sharp knife to separate the parts and a candle to lubricate the moving parts with wax. This model is a work of genius. It is beautifully thought out and engineered and great fun to build. You really do need to follow the instructions very carefully as its easy to miss a vital part but the instructions are very well put together and clear.

Backed this on Kickstarter and wasn't' disappointed. Took a good full day to put together. It can be a bit fiddly but the instructions are clear and it's a good achievement when you finally finish it and have it all working. The mechanism you build works well and the model is all push together, with no glue. All you need is a candle so you can wax the gears to make everything run smooth. It has a few compartments too with working doors you can hide things in. Would make a great gift for someone with some patience!

This locomotive arrived very quickly. One of my patients had build several trains whilst he was in hospital. When he laid the tracks down and I watched this train move only by the flick of an elastic band- I was sold!! What an amazing piece of work. I know my dad will have hours of fun building this train and watching it move.

Excellent product and great company to buy from. I recieved an email from Ugears asking if I was happy with my kit and mentioned I had damaged one part and they sent another part in the post with a few extras.Not only are the kits a pleasure to make but the company care about their customers, I would give 6 stars if I could!

I have become at the age of 82 a big fan of UGear models and have at this time built 13 of your models.I have also built 10 of your competitor in this field Wood Tricks.I am now trying another maker Wooden City.This is how I have spent some of my time during the Covid 19 isolation times

Bought this to keep my grandad occupied during lockdown and he is enjoying it - says it’s very complex but that’s good as he may be in for a while!Delivery was really fast and the item was cheaper than I could find anywhere online so me and grandad was both happy :-)

An excellent kit. Never seen anything like it for design, complication and quality laser cutting. I don't want to appear racist etc but it was made in Ukraine!!! I shall enjoy assembling it when the weather turns. (I live in the far north of Scotland).

High quality kit. Excellent quality of wood and beautifully cut. All parts fitted securely despite no adhesives being involved.Instruction book printed on quality paper and very well produced.

This is the first Ugears item I brought as a gift for my Dad. He thoroughly enjoyed building the Train. Great quality. Would definitely purchase from this company again.

This is an excellent model to build and it works. Have bought a number of UGears kits and all are very high quality deign and fit. Will buy more in the future.

Have bought a number of these to keep me occupied but not got round to this one yet. I like that there is no glue or model paints involved.
