This game has only one car worthwhile in it with default car settings, without the lancia Delta group B car this game is just for kids with no real difficulty on default, however there is a very big twist, if you increase the difficulty level to what it says it should be for an advanced player then if you change the car set ups you have a simulation on your handstry these set upsGRAVELdriftcar height 8front spring stiffness 1rear spring stiffness 7front compression damper 3front rebound damper 3rear compression damper 8rear rebound damper 8front anti-roll bar 4rear anti-roll bar 8rear downforce 8max steering lock 10brake bias 0handbreak strength 10gear final ratio 2 ???????1st gear ?2nd gear?3rd gear ?4th gear ?5th gear ?front differential 2rear differential 8central differential 5traction balance 1TARMAC SLOW SPEED BERLIN driftcar height 0front spring stiffness 2rear spring stiffness 8front compression damper 4front rebound damper 4rear compression damper 9rear rebound damper 9front anti-roll bar 5rear anti-roll bar 9rear downforce 8max steering lock 10brake bias 2handbreak strength 10gear final ratio ???1st gear ?2nd gear ?3rd gear ?4th gear ?5th gear ?front differential 8 for sss use 4rear differential 6 for sss use 8central differential 2traction balance 3TARMAC HIGH SPEED - GERMANYcar height 0front spring stiffness 2rear spring stiffness 8front compression damper 8front rebound damper 8rear compression damper 10rear rebound damper 10front anti-roll bar 5rear anti-roll bar 9rear downforce 8max steering lock 10brake bias 2handbreak strength 10gear final ratio ????front differential 8rear differential 6central differential 2traction balance 3this set up just provides good start point for changes because its a set up which enables excellent vehicle control on corners using the left foot braking technique however you may need to give up some of that maneuverability to make the vehicle more suitable for the bumpiness of track etc, for bumpy conditions softening the rear suspension ∨ roll bar slightly may be a good idea, on smoother surfaces lowering the ride height or slightly tightening the front suspension & or roll bar may help???soft suspension means more grip, in a straight line more grip at the rear means better acceleration because as the vehicle is pushed back by momentum it will sit heavier on the rear wheels, so you have to determine what is most important to you, handling or acceleration dependent upon the type of circuit, I guess if you are running soft front suspension like this is, then diverting traction balance to front may find extra acceleration, im not sure yet just thought of that just now haha? that likely wouldn't do a thing though, higher rear differential settings might help a little but not much, its just something you will have to decide for yourself i think, its whatever gets the best time in the end, ive still not taken gear ratios and rear wing into consideration, with less ride height you should not need as much rear wing if its the same as formula one, in formula one the car also provides downforce with riding so low but im a bit skeptical that this has an effect in WRC cars except possibly when it is at zero

I'm no stranger to driving games, it's all I use, and mainly the more serious stuff and not 100% arcade stuff like NFS etc. Bearing in mind that my PC was built and cost me £1400 in bits, it does run anything I throw at it. I disliked the demo for the first game so much I didn't even consider this as an option. What an error on my part. I have RBR, Dirt2 and 3. WRC2 reminds me of RBR very much. You just can't thrash around everywhere as many of the tracks are technical in nature. Only RBR has more technical tracks and the amazing work done by Kaz in GT5 isn't as rewarding to drive flat out as the Rally courses are too wide. This puts Dirt3 to shame tbh. I'm unlikely to keep that game now I have WRC2.This is the shock of the year, so well done to Black Bean/Milestone.At present the only thing I can fault is. No night driving. The cars in tarmac trim don't have as low n wide stance if the real life cars. But the car set up changes more than makes up for that. You can get a car handling exactly to match ur style with ease. Sure the gfx do not beat Dirt 3, but to a petrol head who only owns car games that's how it should be. RBR is still going strong due to the experience, not top-notch gfx.I understand from other reviews that the tracks have changed little. But with bowed surfaces, camber changes, jumps, bumps and some nasty chicanes and uneven hairpins WRC2 packs a serious punch. The WRC2 tracks are quite narrow, at times only 2 or 3 widths of your car. Land funny, charge around with undue attention and you'll be in trouble! End of! Even how you leave the ground matters, an awesome Rally title.Best news? Monte-Carlo returned to WRC in 2012 so it'll be cool to skim those walls in October when WRC3 lands.I'm quite harsh, I expect high things from the few driving titles I buy, because I am a one trick pony. This is easily an 8.5 out of 10 title. Long stages, 13 locations, and a huge challenge to get the Stages nailed. Much more value compared to Dirt3 :(Annoying really as I bought D3 on 360 and PC upon release. The more serious drivers amongst you need to invest a tenner, especially if like me, you overlooked WRC2!Excuse typo's as I am on a mobile.

First of all I'd like to put things straight, a lot of 'professional' reviewers are saying this game is average, not better than WRC 1 & not as good as the DIRT series. I have to say I disagree, I nearly didn't buy this game because of all the negative reviews but I'm glad I did because it is brilliant. Milestone & Black Bean have a smaller budget than Codemasters, I agree, but the game they have produced feels like they've done the best possible job they can with the resources they had available. This game is so much BETTER than last year's edition & that was good, the graphics have been improved massively in my opinion, not as good as other racing games but who cares? This game has it's own style & sticks too it & it works, it really does. Everything else has been improved too, the amount of cars has been increased, the engine sounds are a lot more realistic & very true to their real-life counterparts, & although a lot of the stages are from last years game, they look a lot different because of the graphics upgrades, alot more detail. The 'Road To The WRC' mode has also been improved & made alot better, you can now hire office staff to deal with contracts/sponsors & mechanics who can develop different parts for your cars. The events are alot more structured & easier to follow, the main mode is definitely the best mode. So lots of different surface types which all make the car handle differently, handling is 10x better than last time & the ability to do detailed setups or choose a preset is excellent. A top-notch game, its the only 1 out there but boy is it a good 1. Buy it & see for yourself.

K so when i got the first WRC game by Blackbean when it came out i was to say the least disappointed, tbh i traded it back in the day i got it,it was so bad.Actually tbf i still havent got over how bad that game really was, seriously it was like they had looked at the sega mega drive big book of game programing for inspiration.Graphics were naff, stage design was awful, really i could just go on and on and on,so many faults, not enough virtual ink in the world to cover them all.Nyhoos jump forward a year and here we have WRC 2.Firstly I have to say i bought this game entirely because of the low price of £13 and a bit because my m8s kids had bought him a copy for his crimbo so i didnt want him to suffer alone.Secondly, since ive had it i have spent a HUGE ammount of time on it.Graphics and stage design are very much improved although graphically its not Dirt 3 level but the gameplay makes up for that. The handling is somewhat improved although does take a small bit of getting (more sim feel than arcade) used to and tweaking in the car setup screen. If i had any complaints the only ones i would really have would be the lack of force feedback and steering wheel options, not a game breaker but could be better.Lack of lobby options online eg. force assists off. Stages still arent long enough and there are 2 few per country to make it feel like a real rally. All in all this gane is so much better than the last one and i would happily recomend it to anyone for the price its at just now.

its alot more fun then last years game, i have only played single race mode, but have played pretty much every stage, and theres loads of stagesi like the fact that they dont give you an option to adjust force feedback, sounds bad huh! lol, but they have a force feedback like wrc 2010, its perfect i think, i always have trouble adjusting force feedback in the dirt games, i felt i could never adjust it just right :/in my review of wrc 2010 i mentioned it would be good if wrc 2 had an mk1 escort :D yay! wrc 2 does have mk1 escort :Dplus the group b cars ;)the cars handle very well, very tricky to stay on the roads, the graphics are abit better then last years game, but im thinking black bean and mile stone havent the kinda money as codemasters, but even so, they have made a decent rally sim, its an easy 2nd place after richard burns rallythe gameplay is the best thing about wrc 2010 and this new wrc 2011, i will be looking forward to another go soon with it, been playing it alot since saturday (15th october)im using a logitech g25 wheel, and no problems atall, i've heard some people using pc cant get the game working,i've given up using pc for rally games, cant beat the ps3 and the easy updates :Dthis is a really fun game and any rally fan should enjoy it, its nowhere near the dirt games graphics, but the gameplay blows the dirt games away!!!

So many bad reviews for the old wrc and now it looks like this is going the same way. Well I enjoy WRC 2011 & even more so WRC 2010 from last year , enjoying them over any of the new dirts as far as single player career goes. Yes dirt looks mint and is good online but its arcade to the max and wrc on hard mode and in manual gears is way more like real rally .My only problem with wrc 2 is that it trys to be more like dirt [faster and abit arcady] but its still a better rally experience than the dirt games [And I do love dirt games , but lets be honest they are very easy to play and so non simulation is laughable]. I personaly wish they had made WRC2 even more heavy and realistic than wrc 2010 .Then we might of been a bit more near the good old Richard Burns rally which is still to be beaten in realism over any rally game to date .If I had to choose between wrc 2010 or 2011 though I would have to choose 2010 cos they have tryed to make 2011 to quick [like every other game thats released these days,Quick to me means cheap and tacky feeling with no real reality or weight to the gameplay]. Also nearly all the tracks are the same as 2010 and since to me that drives at a more enjoyable and realistic pace I woud get last years vesion cos WRC 2011 is a step backwards to me :(

In my opinion this game is not so bad as everyone thinks it is.The game is really fun and it's not like DiRT 3 with 1 minute stages , in this game you'll have to race for at least 5 minutes during a stage. The game is a good challenge but only when you rack up the difficulty and turn off the assistsFrom a graphical stand point this game ccould be better looking but I don't care about the graphics that much , what I care about is a good challenge and fun gameplay which this game does quite well and I think the 2nd WRC improved very well with the handling - the cars to slip for so long like it was in the last game and the turning now feels a little more responsive. So ,the game has lots of stages which are about 5 times longer than in DiRT 3 and the handling is improved but I think this game is for rallying fans only who like WRC. If you're looking for more casual rallying and for more show driving , then you should go with DiRT 3

Let's get a couple of things straight before we start. This ISN'T Dirt and it's not trying to be. It's a darn good Rally game which is incredibly enjoyable and superb fun. The career mode is one of the best I've ever used on a racing game, getting sponsors, cars, liveries etc and it's a long old journey getting to the top, starting in the R2 class. If you want to go straight in then do so, drive the full on WRC cars in single rally or championship, straight from the word go.Handling on the game is really good for the budget they had, it seems incredibly realistic and a lot of fun can be had. The graphics aren't too bad - nothing overly special but they do the job.Quite frankly an excellent game,a lot of fun, nice and simple menu system combined with good handling and a solid price to boot = WIN!

I do think this game is a step up from last years effort, the visuals while still lacking campared with the Dirt series have have been improved from WRC 2010.The extra classic rally cars added to the car list is a bonus for fans of the sport although there does seem to be a gap in the level of detail on these cars compared with the modern wrc cars in the game.As for the gameplay the handling seems pritty good to me when compared with the wrc and Colin Mcrea games of old it stacks up well.Overall i think if you are a rally fan this game is on a par with dirt 3, it may not be as good on the visual front but it makes up for it with much more pure rally content and pritty solid gameplay. But if youwant a more general off road racing experience then dirt 3 may be the better choice.

firstly some of the negative reviews are very poor, "driver san francisco " is hardly a rally game to compare it with, "only 3 makes of car" when did you last watch the real WRC?. "stages the same as WRC1", bit like the real thing that. Anyway I installed the game, it works fine, it looks fine, it represents the what WRC is all about. I dont think its as arcadey as DIRT, and I have had them, Colin McCrae was great but because of the rights he was the only correct car/name and if you dont win he does. I reckon its really good and it follows WRC rules, and by playing with settings you can set it up so you get a good challenge, that way when you win it feels really good.only 4 stars though cos no game yet has deserved 5.

What a great game, pure rally, none of the silly gimmicks that other so caller rally games have in them. Even WRC3 has elements in it which are total rubbish, bot once in my 20+ years did I have to smash gates or set off against the clock with my car falling to pieces around me.The only complaint I would have is that the Co-Driver came from the school of wimps, squawks like a stuck pig after a crash or calls out "watch out" after you hit something, and is always saying "slow down". My navigator never ever said slow down, maybr the odd "Care ahead" now and then. Allin all a great game

This for me is an excellent driving game and good fun to play. It is a huge improvement over the first one with a good balance between realism and fun.I have been playing it on and off for about 9 hours now and it still drawing me back for more. The only thing I find frustrating with it is the ridiculous delays when you back out of some of the menu screens, and I do mean ridiculous.Graphics could have been better, but once you are playing that becomes irrelevant.I would recommend this to anyone who likes driving games

First say to me is the best WRC have certainly taken. Much better than the WRC3. Tambine say it is very sad that still original band when servers are not working. When you buy an original game, as a minimum, Respect those who expect a price reduction or were unable to buy it at launch and let the servers running. I am still MotoGg 08 player online, that's a very good example.regards

Been playing for a week now and i think this is a big improvement over last years title, tighter handling ,better graphics and thankfully a rewind function for those 'occasional' crashes!I believe it to be a better rally game than dirt as this is point to point racing, not the novelty events found in the dirt games.A must buy for any racing fan, onlinne play is great too.

Real nice graphics, play the game on a decent tv and you,l see. All sorts of nice cars to speed round the various rally,s, stages, super stages etc. ive played a lot ov rally games over the years and this is probably the best rally game ive played.
