Having patiently awaited the release of this game I have after about 10 minutes game play decided to write my first Amazon review as i am so disapointed with this game. I consider myself to be a lover of most WWII strategy and shoot em ups games. WWII tank battles is a discrace to the gaming world. I cannot beleive it is actually a new (2006) game, The graphics are terrible, game play is of the ZX81 era and historical accuracy is non existant. My advice is to rent it,try it out, then take it straight back to the shop for a full refund. do not waste your money, beleive me, im now going to give my copy as a birthday present to an unsuspecting ten year old who will be alot more appreciative than me.

With out a doubt this game and its sister, WW2 SOLDIER is perhaps the worse game I have ever had the misfortune to 'play'. The graphics are, at best, of PS1 standard and the actual gaming style is more akin to my old, much lamented, Mega Drive of the 90's. It's as if the brilliant BATTLEFIELD collection had never occured. Please.Take a tip from a devoted 'tank head'. If you MUST try this game, RENT IT FIRST! Or even better watch it over someone elses shoulder and gloat as you play BATTLEFIELD.

...that "WW2: Soldier" had come from the same stable (Midas Interactive) I wouldn't have even bothered getting this one in the first place. Alas, I did and it was even WORSE than "WW2: Soldier"! All I can do is echo the comments below - poor graphics, poor controls and poor gameplay. The command-a-tank feature in other PS2 WWII sims are all done so much better - I'd hoped this would be more of the same.

I bought this game full of expectation and ready to spend a night in blowing up things.. well after 15 mins the only thing ready to blow was my patience, this is bad very bad, graphics rubbish, gameplay rubbish , value for money nil . my advice is look at a carboot sale and if you see it never pay more than £3 for it. I have got better games on my mobile phone !

This is the most pathetic excuse for a tank game i have ever seen. I played this for about 10 minutes and thought what a piece of garbage this game is. Despite what it may say on the back of the box the gameplay and controls are abysmal. If you want a good tank game buy Panzer front Ausf B

Possibly the worst game I have ever come across. Awful graphics, awful sound, non-existent gameplay - it should be made a crime to produce dross like this.

Really, really terrible in every conceivable way. It's one of the worst games I have ever seen, spend your money on something else.

10 years on and the enduring legacy of this game does not impress
