Wet n Wild MegaLast Lipstick – "In The Flesh" Colour E912CThis is one of those lipsticks that are actually the same colour when applied as it looks on the stick!1st Impressions:• The Lipstick is tamper-proof sealed and has the traditional 'twist up' style action.• The casing to the Lipstick is basic and no frills.• Pull off the cap and the twist up action of the lipstick is sure, smooth and steady. When fully retracted back again, the actual lipstick sits up proud, so care needs to be taken when re-capping so as not to damage it.• The lipstick cap snaps on and clicks into place, and feels fairly tight and so should not to come apart in your bag.The casing is all plastic but seems quite durable.• Underneath the base of the lipstick case is a sticker giving the lipstick name range, shade name and number. It also states that it is made in the Peoples Republic of China. In use:• The colour of the lipstick ("In The Flesh" No E912C) is a mid brownish pink with a matte finish. There is no gloss or sparkle at all. This lipstick gives good coverage with solid colour.• It is easy to apply from the stick, or with a lip brush. The lipstick has a rather blunt shape to it and in my opinion is better applied by using a lip brush.• Once on, it felt smooth and reasonably moisturising, with no cloying or sticky feeling.• There is no fragrance or taste to this lipstick – well not that I noticed.• I applied the 1st coat, blotted and applied a second coat. There was very, very little lipstick left on the rim of a cup after a first drink. As the day went on the lipstick did disappear and did not really have any great stain to it. When it was gone it was gone. It does need touching up during the day to keep that nice colour.• The lipstick did not 'bleed' or come off on my teeth (natural or otherwise!!)To sum up:-• This is an extremely inexpensive lipstick. I had no allergic reaction to the product, and I really do like this colour. It makes a nice change from the purely pink toned lipsticks and is a great shade for all year round. I think it will suit a lot of different complexion tones• At a current price of just £2.99 this little lipstick really is a snip, and if it is not quite the right shade for you, then the outlay has been minimal. At this price it is ideal for a Mum to buy for her daughter when teaching her about make-up.• I have given the product 4 Stars, taking into account that it really is inexpensive, and a great bargain. I have only deducted 1 star because I prefer a lipstick to stain the lips more, as I am not in the habit of repeated touching up during the day.

This is an interesting lipstick, quite unlike most available in the UK. In texture it is most like the Italian ones I've used in the past, being quite thick and matt and slightly dry. This means that you do get very high pigment which stays on for a very long time. This colour in particular suits me, as it is quite a brownish pink shade, a very good neutral with enough colour in it to look like you're properly finished off, without appearing flashy at all. I am pretty neutral in tone - ivory skin, dark hazel eyes, dark hair, not sure it would look good on a cooler or very much warmer colouring, but of course depends on your preference. It can feel slightly dry on the lips - a solution I combat by putting a sheer lipgloss on top sometimes, making for the best of both worlds. The packaging is very minimal and modern, not flashy or girly, again like some of the alternative European brands, rather than the mass market US ones, which can tend to be a bit flashy looking, lots of gold trim, etc. The colour comes out quite dark on me, but again, this is toned down by a sheer lipgloss applied on top. I ate and drank my way through a full day out shopping in town without reapplying once, which is a testament to how well this lipstick does stick. Highly recommendable, this works if you take the lack of gloss into consideration.

This was purchased as a gift . As a colour for a beautiful bronze skin tone it is too light to use without modification of a second lip colour or a lip liner. But I knew this before purchasing. That blendability one of those great characteristics of wet n wild megalast lipsticks. I do not think you can make an incorrect purchase of these lipsticks . I think they are great. The lids tend to slip off in your handbag so I put a piece of tape to hold the lid in place which can be a trifle embarrassing unless you are a battle hardened lipstick wearer.I then bought one stoplight red and one red velvet. Sometimes I feel like Ulysses on an odyssey to find the perfect red. The stoplight red is THE ONE.I have a warm yellowish undertone black opal nutmeg and this non drying matte red is mine. The red velvet is better after the dry-down after you've had a cup of tea or two .It is also a stunning matte but on me was on the cooler side of red but not cold enough . I feel awfully harmonious wearing the stoplight red . It is not perfumed and the lid does not fall off. It does not budge after application. .

Very lovely lipstick. Perfect colour shade between red and brown - I was worried it would be too dark, but it's a perfect natural shade that simply highlights my lips natural colour rather than looking overdone. It is matte, so I use a minimal sweep of gloss over the top, as I find it more flattering. It lasts a VERY long time. I've got to hand it to wet n wild, when they promise a lip product that stays on for hours, they mean it. This one weathered an afternoon cycling trip with repeated swigs from a water bottle. Still looked good when I got home!My other wet n wild product, a lip stain, proclaimed that it was cruelty free. This lipstick doesn't, so I wonder?Maybe they just had to room to declare it on the packaging.Only 1 criticism - the lipstick doesn't fully retract back into the container. Fully winded down there is still half a centimeter or so sticking out, meaning you have to be careful putting the lid back on/taking it off or you will get it everywhere >_< other than that, lovely! Would buy in future.

I really like the colour of this lipstick. It is perfect to achieve the 90s look that everyone is wearing at the moment. It is a true brown shade that is not too difficult to wear because it is very close to being nude. This would be a perfect way to try out the trend without having to spend too much on it and risk not liking it for a lot of money. The formula is quite long lasting and the finish is very matte. I find that it lasts up until I eat something and then it will come off. It would stay on the whole day if I didn't eat anything. It is a little drying after a while because of the matte formula so I would recommend wearing a lip balm under it for anyone with sensitive lips. The packaging is not ideal because it is hard to open and close it without smearing the product on the lid. This is the one thing I would change about the lipstick.I would highly recommend trying this lipstick because it is such good value for money and a way of trying new colours without breaking the bank

Wet n Wild are an American based company which was launched in 1979 in Brooklyn, New York. The company was purchased by Markwins and relocated to Los Angeles in 2003.They are the number one seller of budget makeup and proud to say it’s not tested on animals. This lipstick I found went on easily and has a semi-matte cream finish. The colour was a little darker than the usual pink I use, but it still looked nice when on, (I’d only wear this in the evening as it’s too dark for me colour wise to wear during the day). The company states that it’s “An exclusive polymer complex that makes your lips cushiony and plump. Natural marine plant extracts coenzyme Q10 and vitamins A & E help smooth lips.”It’s a nice lipstick and on me lasted 3 hours, but I didn’t drink or have anything to eat within that time. My lips did feel moist wearing this brand.I would recommend it to others as it’s a decent lipstick for the price.

In The Flesh is a nicely retro shade, a natural looking pinky-brown that is reminiscent of shades I wore in the Eighties and Nineties. The lipstick is a budget price size and shape, chisel tipped, quite narrow but that does make it easy to apply. It's not the most pleasant lipstick to apply, it doesn't feel moisturising, quite dry and 'draggy' but the matte effect is perfectly pleasant. It's not too bad in use. If you use a good lip balm and your lips are well condtioned you should be fine.I've tried another of the lipsticks in the range and this one did seem to have a bit more staying power although the formulations are similar. The dryness does mean the lipstick is less likely to come off on glasses and as you eat.Mine was still evident a few hours after application. Not a 'wow' lipstick or one likely to become a favourite, but not bad.

This was a brand that I used to buy back when I lived in the US. It is a mid-priced brand that I was happy to discover was as reliable a product as it was twenty years ago when I last used a lipstick from their product line. It glided on smoothly, leaving subtle dark berry nude type matte finish. It does go on heavier than you might expect so if you wish a lighter, more natural look, I suggest using a lip brush. It doesn't feather but using a lipliner does help with the overall finished look. It says it lasts 4 hours but realistically if you eat and drink throughout the day, it'll last after one cuppa and then you'll need a touch-up. It contains moisturising ingredients, but after a couple of days of wearing it all day, lips do feel a bit dry, so make sure to moisturise separately.

I'm really rather impressed with this lipstick, it's a lovely shade of medium plum and certainly isn't over powering and in your face, rather gentle ( sugar plum fairy ), and is true to colour in the picture.Very easy to apply and glides on easily, I like to apply with lip brush for better outline and longer lasting results and then add with lipstick wand.Whilst wearing I found it was quite long lasting , surviving a couple of meals and a few drinks throughout the day, I also found no clumping , bleeding or flaking and peeling, which was pleasing. My lips felt very hydrated , having a very nice texture moisturiser. The lipstick case is very adequate and as a very strong closer,so no mess anywhereGreat lipstick for a great price, I would highly recommend.

This is a budget-price sized lipstick that reminded me in colour, size and texture of the Rimmel lipsticks I shared with my then teenage daughter in the Nineties. Cinnamon Spice is a dark brownish-red, not cinnamon coloured as you might expect but I suppose they have to call it something. It's a little bit more than just okay, but it's not a 'wow' lipstick. On application it's quite thick and very matte, it made me think that it would stay on for hours but it didn't, which was a bit of a surprise. Two hours, one cup of coffee and two breakfast biccies and it was like it was never there. If you feel like recapturing your teenage years you may like this surprisingly retro little lippy. Not overpriced at all, which is something in its favour.

Wet n Wild have hit the jack pot with these meha last lip colours they are the perfect cosistency, have amazing pigmentation and incredible lasting power! This is the first mega last lip colour i have brought but i just ordered 4 more due to how impressed i was with this one - the formula is a little thick, creamy and non-drying. They are extremely comfortable to wear (almost feels like you have nothing on once they dry down a little) and stay put!I have worn this lipstick in the shower (I was wearing it before i got in - not on purpose) and when i got out, i kid you not, i still had some of this on my lips!! If it can survive a face wash, it can survive anything right?Highly reccomended lipsticks, and so so cheap!

This is a fabulous colour. I love this shade "In the flesh" and in the flesh it is a deep dusky rose/beige colour and looks really nice on the lips and doesn't look too brash against my pale skin. As with others in this range however, the lipstick does stay quite wet on the lips and transfers onto cups and skin, which I don't really like happening to be honest, but the colour is so nice that it outweighs the niggle I have about it transferring. It has a good colour stain effect and the colour stays strong for quite some time, even with transfer from the lips, so the colour lasts and doesn't have to be reapplied too often. It doesn't appear to dry out my lips either, probably because it stays somewhat wet.

I love this lipstick! The colour is a nice pink. It's not too in your face but it is still a nice bright pink which would look lovely in the summer. The formula is long lasting. I have found it to last up until I eat something, then it wears off. The finish is very matte. It is a little drying on the lips after a while of wearing it so I would recommend trying it with a lip balm if you have sensitive lips. The packaging is a little annoying because I find it hard not to smear the bullet with the lid when I am opening and closing itOverall I would highly recommend this lipstick because it is really good value for money. The colour is very nice and the formula is really good. Well worth it!

Ok, so this isn't the most moisturising and nourishing lipstick I have ever used and it does pull at your lips when you apply it. However, I can forgive this oversight due to the fact that it stays put for a good few hours and if you apply lip balm over it then your lips stay hydrated. You can actually feel it on your lips which I personally find useful for knowing when you need to re-apply without looking vain.My favourite thing about this lipstick is the colour which I think is oh so gorgeous! It's the perfect mix for vamp/goth/rock and works exceptionally well with smoky eyes for a dramatic look. I love this shade and for the price this lipstick is a steal.

Very pretty lipstick. My favourite wet n wild shade is Sandstorm - this is like that, but with just a hint of pink mixed in with the brown. I have to say this is probably the closest a lipstick shade has ever come to matching my natural lip colour. I feel very natural wearing it, as it has just 'enhanced' my look rather than adding too bold a shade. The usual criticism applies that the lipstick does not retract down into the container all the way, so expect some mess unless you're very careful how you pop the lid on. Other than that, I really like this brand. Their lipsticks truly last for hours, apply easily and without smearing, and feel great on the lips.
