Great for people like me who use a lot of pencils. I'm an amateur artist and I use heaps of coloured pencils which always need sharpening. The good thing about the Westcott is that it caters for a variety of different pencil diameters and is so easy to use. On the negative side unscrewing the main container to empty it will always result in some spillage of shavings - it's unavoidable, but not worth reducing the five star rating.

I am from America and was pining over the pencil sharpener we had as kids that went on the wall for loads of different size pencils. I was lamenting to my sister that I couldn't find one that was good here and she scoffed. Well, I can stop the search now as this can go on the wall or clamped to a desk and it sharpens well, not badly (which many do). So, thank you for bringing back my childhood! :)

After purchasing several manual and electric pencil sharpeners over the years, this is the best sharpener I have used. It is sturdy, will clamp to shelving and accepts several pencil diameters. Gives an excellent, sharp finish to a pencil. Excellent value.

I can now have all my watercolour pencils sharpened. The pencils look like normal, but they are slightly big for normal pencil sharpner, so this Westcott sharpner is good as it has several size holes.

The product is very easy to use, I had several pencils that had been worn down after many years, and this sharpener completely revived their usage for me.

I was holding out for a metal one like my grandmother had or we did in school - glad I went ahead and got this - works absolutely a charm.

Like it but it has to be tightly secured with non slip mat under foot and then it works a treat.
