Firstly, I should say that it's a very long time since I was a baby...I've been dealing with atopic dermatitis for a while now, which restricted me to sitting in cool baths of Oilatum. I almost can't remember the last time I used a soapy or fragranced product on my skin, and I have tried all of the gloopy, greasy, expensive stuff available from the pharmacy, none of which worked (apart from the Oilatum bath stuff, but their shower-wash is also horrible).I discovered Weleda through their excellent shaving products, as I was looking for things which didn't contain a gazillion mysterious ingredients which might trigger a reaction.I gave this a go, and cannot believe how kind it is, even to skin like mine,it's amazing stuff! I do feel properly clean, but it's totally non-drying, and non-greasy, and my skin is happy as, and I just have to put a dab of cream/oil here and there, and I'm done. I've been using it for months now, and it's made such a difference to be able to finally skip the long baths.Smells very subtle and baby-like, which MrsB seems to like... It feels like a milky, but non-greasy cream, and lathers up just enough. It feels soap-free to me, but doesn't actually state that on the packaging, the main ingredient is coco-glucoside which apparently is:"A surfactant, foaming agent, conditioner and emulsifier derived from coconut oil and fruit sugar. It has been listed as having a low irritation score."It certainly hasn't irritated me, anyway. Love it, and now keep a stock of it to make sure I never run out.

I've recently found that I'm a big fan of Weleda's baby range and this shampoo and body wash certainly does not disappoint even compared to some of my favourite baby products equally natural, no SLS, no petrochemical and no unnecessary chemicals. This SLS free formulation uses sugar and coconut based agitants that act like saponins and help cleanse the skin gently, I can attest to this, I'm very fussy with what goes into our bathroom as SLS products will often irritate my scalp and hands, this I was able to wash both my daughters hairs without any irritation.Yes I can get a cheaper SLS free brand that I have been previously using BUT this is superior because it is much more softening. My elder daughter has hypothyroidism which means her hair quality is difficult with a tendency to dry weak shafts, her usual shampoo I need to use a spritz on leave in conditioner to give her smooth texture at the back, this I didn't need to, even after blow drying which was amazing, and my younger daughters hair felt slightly softer than with her different brand. The only downside potentially is the calendula scent which is an acquired scent for some, it's slightly petal but more green, this is a bit of an adjustment compared to the scents of tangerine and strawberry that my daughters have previously worn respectively.

The Weleda Calendula shampoo and body wash is a certified natural product for babies and is equally suitable for adults looking for a gentle and effective cleanser. The wash is an opaque, white, creamy fluid that comes in a flip-top plastic tube. The delicate fragrance of the shampoo gives it a clean smell that is pleasant and unobtrusive. The wash produces a fine lather on both the hair and body. It’s very good as a body shampoo, too, and my skin has not felt dry or itchy from using it. I sometimes get a blotchy reaction to body shampoos but this product is totally fine for me. It washes my hair well and it leaves my hair looking nice with just a single wash and without making it frizzy. It hasn’t caused any irritation to my scalp, a problem that I've been having with other manufacturers’ products recently.I've been delighted with the Weleda products that I've tried recently and this one is no exception. If, as an adult, you are looking for a gentle hair and body wash, don't be put off trying this; it's good for grown-ups as well as for babies.

This wash has been marketed to adults with sensitive skin as well as babies, so as someone whose skin dries and flakes really easily, especially in winter, I thought I'd give it a try. First off, the good news is that it doesn't foam (foaming agents are really the WORST for sensitive skin and eczema). It has a light, oily consistency and goes on like a cream. It doesn't exactly lather like soap -- it's more like an emollient (or like using aqueous cream) and left my skin feeling like it had a layer of protection. I wouldn't use it for my hair, but I like it as a body wash. The downside for me is the scent, which I'm guessing is calendula, but I don't really like it. I don't hate it,either...it's more that I tolerate it for the effect of the wash itself. On the whole, the product reminds me a little of the Barefoot SOS wash, and for adult eczema/sensitive skin use, I think the Barefoot has the edge, although this is pretty good, too.

This is the best shampoo ever for babies! My son has sensitive skin since was born with flaky skin on face and head at young age. I was recommended by my paediatrician this shampoo because it’s so natural, and harmless for baby’s skin. In fact if you look up on Think Dirty app will come up with zero points of nasty chemicals. I DO LOVE this product and I also used the Calendula Weleda Nappy cream which was also fantastic! I make sure to recommend to all my mom friends! I have been using this shampoo for 4 years with my boy now and will not change! The smell is gorgeous, I wash his hair and body with it and his hair is always shiny and clean. If you want something natural and free of chemicals buy this!I wish I knew since day one with my son, but happy I will use with my daughter who is on the way now! I felt I needed to write a review (not paid!!) because this product deserves.

Wanted to use only natural products on my twins after reading how bad products like Johnson's are for your baby's skin as it is full of chemicals, highly fragranced and dries their skin out. I came across Weleda whilst I was pregnant and bought the shampoo & body wash, bath creme and baby oil. I love that it is made from Calendula (Marigold) plant extract and all the ingredients are natural. I only bathe my girls once a week unless we have had an 'explosion' as I feel that is plenty for a baby given they don't really get dirty. I really love the smell, it doesn't seem to linger on the baby which is great as they smell just how they should - like a baby! It lathers only a little which helps to not get it in their eyes,is really gentle on their skin and doesn't dry it out. People have commented on how good my babies skin is and I wouldn't use anything else.

Weleda is one of the leading brands for organic bodycare products free of parabens and sulphates. This is why I keep using many of them, particularly for my 5-year-old son. They cost about 30/50% more than the average supermarket products, but in return you get: a shampoo which totally respects your hair/bodyskin natural defences; it is unlikely to develop allergies (such as irritated skin/rashes and suchlike); you can use it on daily basis if you wish (though I usually use it on hair every 2-3 days). This shampoo looks like a cream in your hands and smells of calendula, a gentle perfume that can be used by anybody, even male adults. My son's hair looked very nice after his bath. I use it, too, occasionally, as it does not dry my skin. Highly recommended, not just for babies. Your skin will be very grateful.

I have been using some of the adult body washes and found this baby wash to be of the same great quality that I would expect from Weleda. This is a completely natural product and it does not contain harmful chemicals. I was happy to use this for my one year old who has sensitive skin. It's really creamy and doesn't have a lot of lather but that really doesn't matter. The lather you get from many products is produced by harmful chemicals that strip your skin of natural oils. There are only 13 ingredients in this wash, many baby products have many more. It has a light pleasant scent and is so gentle. It's a good sized bottle and will last me for ages as you don't need to use loads. It may cost more than other products but I find that is the case to have a product that doesn't contain harmful chemicals.

I've been using this product for a couple of weeks. This is a mild detergent for washing baby's hair and body. Its main foaming agent is cocoa-glucoside. It also contains almond oil, sesame oil and glycerin. It appears to contain genuine extract of chamomile, which is thought to be soothing.I've tried a couple of Weleda products (made in Switzerland) recently and have been impressed with the fact that they do appear to incorporate some of the more expensive ingredients rather than just fill the product up with lots of cheap chemicals like so many big pharma companies do these days. This product has a pleasant scent and seems to suit my niece.I also quite like it for use on myself because it seems quite mild and doesn't sting my eyes if I use it as a face wash.Recommended.

I have been using this on my children for almost four years. They have sensitive skin prone to eczema and have not had any adverse reaction to this. It is a gentle and moisturising body wash with a lovely smell. The consistency is quite thick and as with other products in this range a little goes a long way meaning one of these 200ml tubes lasts ages. I can use it on my face without any irritation and I also have sensitive skin. It's ok as a shampoo but doesn't leave hair as soft and shiny as when I use a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner (as it is not meant to be a conditioner). I'm happy with it though and will continue to use it for myself and my boys as a body/face wash.I do usually use a different brand for their hair though.

My two year old suffered from facial and full body eczema. It was so severe that it left his skin prone to frequent infections requiring antibiotics. I tried all the creams and washes prescribed by my GP (hydrocortisone, E45, Cetraben etc) to little avail. Then a friend suggested I try calendula cream as topical treatment, which seemed to work. Which lead me to search for calendula based baby products. And thus I started using weleda baby shampoo/body wash on my toddler. Miracles of miracles, his skin started healing and cleared up in 3 weeks. That was over 6 months ago and his skin has stayed mostly baby soft since we switched to a calendula based regime.I have this on a monthly subscription and wouldn't do without.

I've been using this for over a year and a half now so decided it's worth a review. The best thing about this is it contains a lot less harmful chemicals than your standard shampoo or body wash, the scent is from natural sources and not synthetic partum as found in many products. I first heard about it when I was using the "Think Dirty" app which evaluates how harmful products are based on their ingredients, this not only has a low score but is also one of the cheapest 'clean'products on there.I've found that this leaves my skin soft and my hair feeling very clean. It can be used by anyone, not just babies,so if you're looking for something that doesn't contain chemical nasties give this a try.

I use this all the time on my little ones , so was only too pleased to review it. This is a lovely creamy wash, suitable for body and I would say short or baby fine hair. Once my little ones hair got longer and fuller , I did switch to a dedicated shampoo for thier hair, but continue to use on their bodies. The wash contains lots of lovely natural ingredients which are kind to baby's more permeable skin. My nice who has very sensitive skin could only use this brand as a baby as this was the only range that didn't bring her out in a rash, so I know this is very gentle. The cream smells clean and washes even the most food smothered baby nice and clean so it is effective too.

I have suffered so much from showering and shampooing with nearly every product until I found this brand for my daughter since 5 years ago! I tried using other products in between just to experiment, and either other products are just too moisturising that made my skin grows acne or cleaned too deep that my skin became so dry and itchy! I have always found this is the only product that can balance my extremely sensitive and combination skin and scalp. ? Plus I can wash hair and body just in one go without bothering to use another product!!! My 18 month baby girl has been using it since 8 months old. I have felt bsolutely blessed to find this product!

My baby had sensitive skin so it took me long to find the right product for him. This is the only one that doesn't give him rashes. Also, with the changing of hormones from being pregnant to post-pregnancy and breastfeeding, my old cetaphil used for face is not effective and caused breakouts. I used this as well because it is mild. I cannot believe it when it was able to control my breakouts. Also, it feels cleaner and less oily than when I was using my old product.Only downside of this is that it smells ointment-y and it dries baby hair slightly.I still give it a strong 5 stars though. I'm very happy with it.
