The positives are that this is an attractive piece of cat furniture. I didn’t want a carpet covered cat tree, so was happy to find something that looked nice but was functional too. My cats immediately loved the toy and scratch posts, and I am pleased with the pads. I love that we can just throw them in the washer too.For the downside, assembly was a bit of a mess. It matters which board is the top and which is the bottom of the box part of the tree. The top board should have one hole to attach to a post, 4 holes for screws, and Velcro strips for a pad. The bottom board should have 2 holes to attach to scratch posts and 4 plastic fittings for hardware to fit into in each corner.Mine came with the holes for posts and hardware holes mixed up. So I had to drill a second hole to use for the bottom, as that was just the easiest fix. As a result, I now have a random hole on the top of the box and Velcro strips on the bottom of the box that can’t be used. It’s not the end of the world, but was very confusing since the instructions were not labeled very well to begin with.

We wanted a cat condo that wasn't covered in carpet because we wanted something that looked more like furniture and wasn't a magnet for dander and hair. While $100 is a bit much, it is well worth it! Everyone who has walked into our house didn't even realize it was in the corner of our living room until we pointed it out. It was easily put together and our cat loves it! It's easy to wipe down and the pads inside the cube and on the different platforms are held down with velcro, so they are also easy to just throw in the wash. The cat uses the scratching posts for scratching and climbing up. The hanging toy with the three balls are made of a wood-like material like wicker or sisal. She plays with them constantly, only thing is they slipped off the rope after the first day, but just adding larger knots to hold them in place did the trick. It's a nice size height for the corner we have it in, but I kind of wish we went for the taller one. Very happy!!

Update: After treats (ie I put the treats on each level) and other positive reinforcement (put her usual napping mat on top) over several months, plus adjusting placement, my cat now regularly lays on the top pad and watches birds/naps in the sun. she will also lay on the bottom and occasionally get inside the cubby....but still won't use the scratching posts, which was one of the key reasons why I purchased this. She will use a sisal rope post and cardboard scratchers, so my guess is its the texture of the sea grass that is a problem. As other mentioned, the parts aren't labeled, which makes following the instructions a little difficult. I had to look ahead to the finished diagram to make sure I was putting things together correctly....however my cat hates it so far and won't use it. It is quite pretty and a cleaner look than most other items. I may try moving it around to diff locations. Application of catnip has not helped

Really pleased with the aesthetic of this cat tower, especially since most other cat towers out there are ugly carpeted eyesores. It's a great height to stick in front of a window so that the top perch looks out on the world-- my cat Humphrey loves to look out from a third floor apartment and watch the birds. I've had other cat-parent friends come over and compliment it, even going so far as to take a picture so they could look into getting it themselves. It's a nice sturdy piece, and I love that there are 4 scratching posts (although my cat only really ever uses the tallest one). I purchased this a year ago and still haven't had to replace the scratching post (it's a huge plus that they sellreplacement parts so the whole thing isn't useless if you have a cat who tears scratching posts apart!). The padded cushions included are really soft and comfortable, and assembly was really easy... A+ product!

I bought this particular cat tree because I loved the look of it and it wasn't that expensive (compared to some of the other ones I was looking at, this is cheap)! It is very sturdy and my cats like climb up to sit on the top if it all the time. The only thing negative so far, is that it really does smell like straw/hay for quite a while after having it unpacked. I have a tiny (TINY) apartment, and it smelled up the entire thing and still lingers after opening for quite a while. If you have the option, I think it would be great to air it out in a garage or something for a few days. Overall though, I'm very happy with the product and after having it for a few months, it has held up very nicely.I know some people wrote about the scratching post coming undone, but I have experienced none of that!

Our cat loves this tree and we love the way it looks. The carpet cat trees are so unappealing and we didn't want one of those in our living room but we wanted a place for our cat to hang out with us. This is the best of both worlds, he likes sitting on top and it is barely noticeable, it just looks like another piece of furniture. It is easy to set up, it only look me about 30 min and it is surprisingly very sturdy. He isn't very interested in the square "cubby" but that is just his personal preference, we are planning on getting another kitty and there will be plenty of space for the two of them. The only downfall is the white fur, while the cat loves it, it gets dirty very easily, but because it is attached with high quality Velcro I can take it off and clean it as needed.

Pros: 1) Easy to put together. As long as you lay out all of your parts and take your time, it is straightforward construction. It took my husband and I 30 minutes to put together. 2) It's stylish. 3) My kitten loves the scratch post and hanging rattan balls.Cons: 1) My 4-month old kitten was able to rip off one of the balls within a minute of putting it together. He had a second ball ripped off within 5 minutes. The manufacturer replaced the balls but not the string as a courtesy. 2) The disk on top of the cube doesn't cover enough of the smooth top and my kitten appears to be hesitant to jump up because it is slippery.I will likely have to purchase a larger/rectangular cushion to cover a greater area so he'll jump up and use that level (and subsequently the top tier).

I don't usually write reviews but because I rely on them so much I needed to write one for this product. What a beautiful piece of cat furniture. I wanted something that would fit with our modern decor and provide plenty of exercise for our new kittens. This piece delivers. It's clean and modern style is a nice departure from typical cat furniture. I was slightly worried about how difficult it might be to assemble after reading some reviews. If you can assemble IKEA furniture you can assemble this. It took us about 20 minutes from start to finish. Now, in full disclosure, my wife is good at assembling things and she took the lead on this but it really was not complicated.I thought the price was pretty reasonable for the quality and I like that it has replacement parts.

Allows my cats to look down on the peons like the queen kitty she is lol. Just set this up today with my 9year old and 4 year old helpers. Took about 45 minutes but that was more because of tiny hands getting in the way. Once everything was together it’s nice and sturdy which is great. I got this in the hope that when we move in a year it will survive the move unlike her carpet covered condo I got this one to replace. I had serious issues with the stability and cleanliness of her last condo, having kids who think the cat condos are their toys as well as the cats it got dirty and rickety rather fast. If this condo stays nice for awhile I might invest in the bigger one when we getting another cat in the future.Overall so far a great product and highly recommend.

My cat was adopted declawed, and she struggles to get excited about most cat trees. She can't climb to the next level, or, they are too big for just one cat. This one is PERFECT. She loves the little box to hide in, and the perch is a few inches higher than the window pane so she can look out the window. Absolutely amazing material, supremely easy to clean and the pads are velcro and come off so easily for cleaning. I already had to wash all three because of food messes/catnip and it was so easy. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I'm a veterinarian and I've seen a lot of crazy cat entertaining toys/beds and this one will not disappoint.

Got this a few weeks ago. Looks really good and easier to assemble than a piece of IKEA furniture and it wasn't too heavy for one person to move. My cat loves lounging on the top platform and just started getting into the scratching posts/hanging balls. She hasn't gone into the cube yet though, I think it will take a few more treats.Giving it less than a five because a small piece of the top platform chipped and the lowest hanging ball on the string fell off. (My cat is 10 lbs and basically sort of fell off while holding onto it.) The ball won't be hard to tie back on, but just watch out that it's not THAT strong.

I bought this 4 months ago and it is still going strong! Snickers (my cat) is very heavy and broke his last cat tree just from sitting in the top part so I needed a sturdy tree, and this one is perfect. I have the V base model in walnut. He doesn’t go inside the cube but he hangs out on the top constantly, even 4 months later! He also will use the scratcher and play with the dangly wicker balls. It was easy for me to assemble by myself in about an hour. (Although, I kept putting the cube together upside-down)I bought an open box version for $85, definitely a great investment for my big kitty!

This is actually the best looking piece of cat furniture I've ever bought. No ugly carpet, easy to put together, and the cats love it. My only complaint is that the packaging came with a lot of those little bags of desiccant beads like you would normally find in shoes or handbags. That in itself wouldn't normally be an issue, except one had burst open, leaving these toxic little beads all over my house with 3 cats I had to prevent from messing with them. Theyre super tiny and hard to see, which amounted to a lot of time seeking them all out to prevent any trips to the vet.

Nice cat tree - short enough to put in front of the sliding glass door and not block the view, but tall enough for my cat to get off the ground and get a better look at the birds. Looks much nicer than the carpet covered trees! Only disappointment is that my cat doesn't like the material they wrapped the scratching post in - he LOVES to scratch anything sisal (blonde colored rope) but for some reason is not interested in this material (whatever it is, it's not sisal). Bummer because I was excited to offer him a tall scratch! Otherwise, very happy with the upgrade.

Husband put this together in about 45 minutes while simultaneously watching TV. He did so easily, didn’t complain about instructions or substandard parts, etc.—trust me, that’s a rarity!?. Our 12 pound solidly built tabby fits in his “condo” ...kind of tight quarters but he seems to like it. He also hangs out on top some. He hasn’t however used it as a scratching post (we have a separate one he still uses]. Best of all, I don’t mind the aesthetic of this at all in our living room. Very appealing to the wife eye.
