I went with this cat tree since it was the most economically priced yet still had a nice high perch--which is my kitty's fav spot. I have a Norwegian Forest Cat, and she adores to climb up to the highest point in any room and look down on her "kingdom". She loves chilling out in the little cat cave as well. The "upholstery" is really soft. My cat loves all the scratching posts, she uses them frequently. She also has a ball (literally) batting at the dangling toy.I do wish it was taller. They make it look so much higher in the picture somehow. It's realistically about 3 feet high and I would have preferred 5 or 6 ft tower, but for the price, I can't really complain. It was easy to put together and feels fairly sturdy.I keep it in a corner (near a window so she can peer outside). At some point, I may have my my boyfriend attach it to the wall--it's not really necessary--but would just make me feel better. In the future. I may go for one of the taller cat towers, sit it beside this one to make a cool kitty play-land. But for the moment this one makes my kitty super happy. I'm satisfied with my purchase, and so is my kitty cat.Update: Still in great shape. Bought this in 2014, and now it's April 2020 and it's still going strong. My cat still uses the cat "cave" (absolutely loves it) and sharpens her claws on the scratching posts regularly instead of using my furniture (thankfully), and jumps up to the top shelf which holds her steady, this is great since she's a big 'ol girl (20-25 lbs).

I really like this cat tree. It was simple to put together, and my cat loves it. I only have a few issues with it. For one, I put cat nip on it to entice my cat as other reviewers recommended. However I probably didn't need to do this as she is not a shy cat and would probably have investigated it on her on. In her tweaked out state, she spent the first hour trying to rip up the paw print design. I had to point out to her the rest of the levels. So to me that was a poor design decision making the paw print something that was appealing to rip off. Its felt cloth sewn on, which draws attention to it, as opposed to being a pattern that is dyed/painted on. Also she ripped the toy off after an hour of playing with it.So now it's a makeshift mouse she chases around the house. As others have mentioned, this thing really does wobble a lot. It's not very sturdy. I would have given 3 stars if I was concerned about this, but I specifically brought it for a 6 pound kitten. But for a cat that small to almost be capable of knocking it down is concerning. I'll be buying another one to attach when she's bigger, to balance it out. This is not for a big cat. You would only be able to get away with it if your cat isn't to rambunctious, or if you do something to stabilize it. But for the price you get what you pay for I suppose.

Assembled it just around a week back. I have a multicat household. Some of the cats love the perch, and some are just happy using the scratch post. Looks smart, actually quite pleasing to the eye. The only disappointment is the stability of the post, its wobbly. Its held well the past one week and I hope it holds well in the future as well. With cats jumping on and off from it, time will tell. It didn’t come cheap considering it was shipped to India. Removing one star for the wobbling. A nice product nonetheless.Update: its more then a month of use now. The kittens have a good time with this tree for sure. I have three cats of different size. The lightest of them all uses it as a perch. The others not as often. So to sum it, it holds well for kittens and petite cats. Being a multicat house this tree is still appreciated and am glad I bought it. But if you have just a cat or two, you’d want to be very, very sure you want to spend on this...will your cats like it or the tree will hold their weight during rough play is what you may want to think about before purchase.

It's true this thing is pretty wobbly, but I keep it in a corner between two pieces of furniture and put a toolbox on the bottom and that seems to give it enough stability for my cat to make it up just fine. She's about 12lbs but still only year old and generally pretty clumsy. When she gets all riled up and is tearing around the house the cat tree can wobble pretty violently as she thrashes up it but it seems like it just adds to the thrill for her.I also want to mention that even if your cat doesn't take to this right away, it's worth waiting around. I got this two months ago and couldn't for the life of me get her to understand what the scratching posts were for.The main reason I got this was to save my couch from her claws so I was pretty bummed. But just in the last week I've seen her going to TOWN on those bad boys, and I'm thrilled. She's also just in general gotten a lot better at climbing it and has really made it hers. So don't be too quick to judge, you know cats never want to admit we did something right

My new rescue cat likes being up high - as many cats do. When i found him trying to get on top of the bookcase I thought a tower would be just the thing. I noted other reviews which mentioned this one was a little unstable, but I liked the design and price so ordered it, and had my son ready with a piece of MDF to provide added stability to the base. It was simple to assemble, despite the rather rudimentary instructions. A washer was missing as the box had torn in transit, so a shopping trip was needed to get a replacement. Once all put together however, my cat was not in the slightest bit interested. I played with him near it, left his favourite toys on the platforms and even lifted him gently on the top platform, whereupon he promptly jumped off. Several weeks later he still ignores it. I will try fixing it to the wall with a bracket to see if that makes it more attractive. So 4 stars for design, materials and price, but can't rate it on desirability from my cat's point of view.

Very well constructed and amazingly easy to assemble. Didn't even have to view the instruction. We had a problem with our cat DESTROYING our furniture. We bought all kinds of toys to try to distract him, the spray that is supposed to detur them from wanting to scratch on fabric and NOTHING worked. We bought this and now we have all new furniture with NO nail holes anywhere. He never scratches on anything but the posts and no hair on the furniture because he loves the vantage point of laying around up high with a view of everything and now I only have to remove cat hair from one piece of furniture (with the exception of the occasional cat hair bunny behind a chair or under the bed).We have tried kitty condos before but for some reason, this is the only one (of 2, we also have a larger one for the family room) that has ever worked. Don't know what they do different, but they are doing it right and they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to felines.

After reading the reviews my wife and I decided to get one for our pair of cats. We were very surprised by the size and quality of the tower and felt that we should leave a review and some advice for other buyersASSEMBLY::It took my about 5 minutes to get it all put together. The instructions were very straight forward and easy to read. It included a small wrench which was the only tool needed.SIZE::During assembly the tower became taller and taller until we were all impressed. The cats love it and we are very happy.BUILD QUALITY::Everything is very sturdy with one MAJOR exception, the only reason we are not giving it 5 stars: The base of the tower is so small that without any modification itwill fall over easily just from the weight of a single cat.SUMMARY::If you don't mind attaching something to the base to make it more reliable it is a great deal! It looks great and will fit right in next to the couch.

After reading all the reviews, (good and bad), I decided to buy this tree for my cats. So glad I did, they absolutely love it! We did have one minor problem with one of the double ended bolts not being threaded properly and you could not screw the final post on. This was resolved with a quick trip to Lowe's for another bolt! You do need to put this in a spot that you can tie it to something sturdy to prevent it from tipping over. I knew beforehand I was going to be tying it to my banister at the bottom of my stairs. This spot made it even more fun for my cats as they now have an extra rope to play with and they have a great time with one cat on the stairs and one on the tree playing with each other. My cats stretch and scratch all the time on the sisal post which was my main reason for buying this. I would have given this a 5 star but for that I would expect no issue with assembly and for it to be freestanding!

I first brought one of these when my cat was about 15-20 weeks old, and she loved it as soon as I got it out of the box. She has never been too fond of sleeping in the den at the bottom, preferring in sleep in her basket. However she has great fun hiding in the den and jumping out on unsuspecting passersby!! She loves lounging on the top and shooting up and down the tunnel. I did however have to remove the platform from the tunnel as she got older, as it was getting in her way as she grew. All in all a very good small cat tree, it fits into our small flat without being obtrusive, while still providing my cat with somewhere to play and scratch! My cat is now nearly 5 and I have had 2 of these trees.I will probably need to replace this one in about 6 months, but at roughly £50 for 2 and a half years entertainment for my cat, I consider them good value. Defiantly cheaper than a new carpet or new sofa!!!

What a great tree for the price! This easy would go for much more in other stores. It was easy to set up, looks great in my little "cat corner", and my cat can use it to go crazy on instead of my furniture. The color is a nice steely grey/blue, and it has a velvety soft feel I was not expecting for the price. The height is just right, and my cat can be much closer to eye level with me when she sits on the top shelf (I'm 5"7"). My cat is very overweight, and I will say this thing could topple over if placed in the middle of the room. I knew this ahead of time, and had always intended on placing it in a corner where it would be safe. I also tilted the first shelf inward so my chubby tabby could not displace the center of gravity easily. She did ignore it at first, but a couple of sprays of catnip spray fixed that problem. I would definitely buy this cat tree or another from this company again!

This is in my home office on top of a short file cabinet, to encourage the cats to sit at the window rather than on the PC, the printer, or on me.It works.I considered knocking some holes through the top of the cabinet and bolting the lower box to it if it turned out to be unsteady, but so far even my brute Jules (short for Julius, 18 pound mixed breed, and we're pretty sure one of his ancestors was either a Maine Coon, or a Caterpillar bulldozer) jumping on to and off of the top level hasn't knocked it over or even tilted it. The center pole really keeps the weight and motion minimal. Yeah, physics; apparently even cats have to follow those laws. The only issue is that the first platform is now only a mere foot from me,so my cats regularly pet the back of my head while I'm working, but so far they haven't been able to completely distract me. Which qualifies as an improvement.

Our cat uses it, and it fits in a tight space. These are the two main criteria we were hoping to meet. In addition, the price was very reasonable. It's not bulky like many we considered. It's not an eyesore in our living room. The only slight complaint is our very fluffy, also chubby, senior female feline has some difficulty maneuvering from level to level. She sleeps in the "box" on the bottom and gets to the second level on her own. Thus far, I have to place her on the top, but when I do she happily stays up there for prolonged periods, which is saying something because this is a cat who rarely allows us to hold or control her location. It's been helpful in our attempt to keep her off the furniture and our clothing (at least some of the time). We purchased the product because we were wanting to decrease the claw damage and pet hair on other items.

I bought this because we were getting two Norwegian forest kittens and wanted to provide them with something relatively tall (but not too tall) to practice climbing on (wedgies are natural tree climbers) as well as provide some degree of stimulation (wedgies get bored really quick). It was easy to put together, although like anything else I could have done with a spare set of hands. My only complaint, and why it got four stars not five, is that the ball that was attached by a piece of thin elastic didn't survive the determined assualt of two playful and inquisitive kits with sharp kitten teeth. I have attached some toys to the post that have lasted using thicker more resilient elastic. The kitslove it and spend a lot of time using the scratching posts as well as hurtling up and down it playing tag, so that has to be the best reccomendation.

Got this for our little furball a few months ago and she loves it. It's a very good height and is built from good quality materials. The base is a little smaller than I'd like it to be so if it's not up against a wall or close to one then your fur-baby might be able to knock it over when they're playing rough. I have mine up against a wall and took 4 heavy duty velcro strips and placed one in each corner of the cubby hole that sit up against the wall and it's never budged an inch. I'm thinking down the line though I might take the base of one of my cats older scratching posts, which is about 4" wider on each side, and drilling holes in it to make it compatible with this model so it can have even more support.Overall, this is a great product for the money and I think your cat(s) will love it as much as my Stella does

Great product and good value for money. Ordered it on a weekend and it was here on Monday lunchtime.Easy to put together and really sturdy. Some reviewers have commented about it being unstable. I should imagine it could be with larger size cats, or cats that were rather boisterous. I may consider attaching it to a wall just to be safe, but as it is in a corner position and our cats are of a smaller size it may be ok. I have put a doorstop on the corner nearest the wall corner and it seems fine. Both my cats have had a good scratch already. I was originally looking for a tall scratching post when I came across this product. My cats like to have a good stretch when scratching, and standard scratching posts don't really seem suitable for this.Overall am happy with this purchase and I would recommend :-)
