The item itself is great; however, my cat refuses to use it. This cat just walked into my life three weeks ago, is pure white with china blue eyes and is totally deaf. It had no identification on it or a chip in it, so being that it couldn't hear, I decided to keep it with me. I'm a senior who put her last dog to sleep a year ago October and was having a very difficult time deciding if I wanted to rescue another dog or if I would be happy with a cat. This going back and forth went on for quite a few weeks, so when "Teddy" walked up and laid down on my front steps, all my neighbors commented to me "Annie, we see God made up your mind for you !!" And so He did.

Like anything for your cat, it is up to them to make the decision. In the box it came in was a long strip of packing paper. That was a very desirable feature, as my cats immediately loved playing with the long strip of paper. The box was appreciated also. This looks nice, and several of mine have been seeing clawing on the sisal. One laid her paws on the carpet portion. I know it gets moved around at night, so it does get attention. Since they have many other scratchers, that all of them are not totally infatuated with it is no surprise. But often give them time. The cat that seems to like it the most claws on the sisal, and rubs her chin on the carpet portion, marking is as hers.

Wish I had gotten one of these ages ago! My cat is in love with this board, I think she uses this 9 out of 10 times now compared to her normal scratch post. She seems to like the way this one feels and the position it is in much better then the vertical post. At first she was a little stand offish and wasn't sure what to do with it, so I rubbed a little cat nip into the board part and took her paw and did like the scratching moment lol. That was all in took, within the next few minutes she was all over it. She also likes to just lay on the carpeted curve part and she likes to play with it and slide under the other side haha. Would highly recommend this and hers seems to be hold up well over the last month,

I have waited a little while to review this scratching board as I wanted to see how my cat really felt about it. His first impression was "This is for me and I think I like it". But he was scratching the furry part rather than the scratchy bit, despite my husband and I demonstrating where to scratch! After a while now he uses both areas to scratch on. He also loves to sleep in the curve and finds it quite a useful place to have a wash too as there is somewhere to lean when his leg is in the air! One of his new favourite games involves the playing with his toys under the scratching board too.The only reason I'm not giving this 5/5 stars is because whilst my cat likes and uses it,

My cats love this scratcher, and one of them sleeps in it everyday.I had a similar scratcher, and compare to that one, this one seems low quality, especially the fabric part.However, the good thing is the sisal part covers the whole curve, which other products on Amazon including my old scratcher just cover half of the curve, which gives it a short life.Another unsatisfied part of this scratcher is I hope the sisal part can be wider. One of my cat is a British short hair, and he is pretty big I will say. Both of my cats love to stand on the tip of the curve, and scratch the top part (they barely touch the side, and that is why I need the sisal cover the whole curve), if the sisal part can be wider,

One of our cats *loves* horizontal scratchers. After trying triangular cheaper ones, this is the one she keeps coming back for. Second time buying it: the previous one lasted a year, was pretty torn by the end, but she still loved it. A little catnip on top made her notice the new scratcher, but the minute she did – it's a new love affair all over again! She seems very content and keeps coming back to it multiple times a day. The best part: she's not scratching anything else! If you notice your cat standing on top on anything you love and scratching the living day out of it – buy this scratcher, the problem will be solved. I wish our second cat would share the affection for scratchers :D

My 2 precious kitties love this they scratch on it and also lounge around on it...This scratching wave is pretty awesome. Great quality durability and easy to keep clean . I definitely recommend this Scratching Wave...... UPDATE..... when I bought this it was only around $14 something now I noticed it’s above $25 I really don’t understand why people keep hiking the prices up on everything right after I purchase them or right before I purchase them.....yes I know corona corona corona I’m soooooo sick of hearing that and the lame excuses using that....idk I just wanted everyone to know that the price went up double the amount since I bought it..... FYI

The perfect scratching "board" for cats who, like mine, cannot be trusted around ones made of corrugate (cardboard) because they'll chew it to pieces. And not only does the sisal hold up well, but my cat enjoys lounging on the lower, carpeted half of the "S" and standing up tall on the upper half, seemingly pretending he's Leo DeCaprio in Titanic. It took him a while to figure out that it was less likely to tip over if he sharpened his claws on it while standing lengthwise, i.e. on the carpeted end, rather than while standing sideways on the sisal end, but that's just my dopey cat, I'm sure.

The cats scratch on the top, sit on the bump, lay in the dip, kick it, bite it, and tumble over this thing. It didn't look like much to me, but they beg to differ. What's the reason it didn't get five stars? The bump is slowly flattening out -- losing it's shape a bit. Ordinarily, it wouldn't matter to me, but my four-month-old kitten loves to crawl under it, like a tunnel ... esp when the older cat is sitting on top of it. I wish it were just a touch sturdier to keep the flattening from happening; otherwise, I feel it was a great investment for a cat toy that actually gets used.

This scratcher is a great size and shape. The cats love it. BUT....it's simply not sturdy enough - especially for the 12+ lb cats.My old one had reached it's natural end - but since I hadn't thrown it out, I simply placed this new one over top. Which eliminated any collapsing issues. It's not attractive to look at - but the cats don't mind. The sisal and material is holding up to their scratching so far. I don't think it'll last the 10 years my old one did - bit at this price, a year would be ok.Thicken it up and offer more colors - and it would be perfect.

Well, it's not really all about her anger, more like her normal need to diminish her claws as they grow.This gives her a large surface to scratch, better than the scratching post I had had before, and it is made of the same material, sisal, which she was used to, so she easily identified what this wavy thing was meant for. She also fell asleep on it one time!It is a definite keeper and I recommend it because of its price and usefulness! Some cats might not like it, it's actually a matter of taste with them, but mine definitely does!

My cats have had similar scratchers, and they always tear them to shreds as well as lay on them and love them to death. I got this to replace one that was literally in shreds and could barely hold them, and the first day I put it out they were fighting over who got the place of honor on it. I have to buy once for each room now. Great construction, and definitely deters them from scratching rugs and furniture. My cats are rather fat (indoor neutered fatties) and they can each lay in the curve.

CAN YOUR CAT CATCH A WAVE? WELL IT WILL WITH THIS. I HAVE ONE PARTICULAR CAT THAT I PURCHASED THIS FOR BECAUSE HE LIKES TO 'PULL' HIS CLAWS. I RUBBED A LITTLE CAT NIP ON IT TO BRING HIM TO IT AND HE HASN'T STOPPED SURFING YET...LOL!! I LIKED IT FROM THE PHOTO SO I ORDERED IT AND I REALLY REALLY LIKE IT. IT IS COVERED WITH THIS SOFT VELVETY CARPETING AND THE SCRATCHING PART IS REALLY STURDY. I THINK THIS WILL BE AROUND FOR A LONG TIME. ITS VERY LIGHTWEIGHT AND NOT SO BIG THAT ITS IN THE WAY.

I'm very happy with my perchase! My kitten loves it and sleeps/ plays on it all the time. The reason I gave it only 4 stars was that the wood used to make the item is a little thin/ flimsy and the hot glue used to put the carpet on the wood was quickly and messily put on this caused me to sit for about ten minutes pulling off loose glue threads and chucks of it all over the top. Overall, I would recommend this item for any cat owner! The price was very good and it came quickly in the mail

After taking delivery from our comedian of a postman ("I am not sure what this is, but it was straight when we put it in the van") it was initially received by the cats with the expected disinterest and disdain. Sigh... but then the eldest of the cats went a bit barmy, and started scooting through the open half tube with a very mad look in her eyes. She then discovered that if she held her ratty toy up against the side, she could kick hell out of it without it escaping. A success!
