I'll be honest, I wouldn't use this tripod with a DSLR and a big lens; but for my purposes - iPad and phone photos and videos - it is perfect. Compact, flexible, decent height, locks securely, removeable shoe, all that stuff. I do a style of photojournalism where I can carry this for hours before I say "can we set up a camera?", it's light and small enough as part of my kit that I don't resent the weight or size.I have used it a few times and have never even thought "I wish I had a better tripod". I always wish for better cameras, lights, subjects and stories; but tripods? No. I am happy with this tripod. Will that do?Read full review...

The DF-41 is very light, easy and quick to erect, the 3-way quick-release pan head with tilting platform is smooth to operate and it is very easy to fit or remove whatever kit you are using. I use an Olympus OMD with a 40 - 150 pro lens, which is quite heavy, it attaches firmly but the DF-41 becomes rather wobbly when extended to its full extent,keep it lower and it's fine.
