I really like the Kuru Toga pencil line, so I would have rated this 5 stars. The lead rotation mechanism really does keep the led sharp, and overall this is a really good investment into an affordable mechanical pencil with a special unique feature. An upgrade would be the Kuru Toga High Grade or Roulette mechanical pencils, which have a metal barrel and a sleeker look. One thing to keep in mind when purchasing these pencils is that they will have a slightly 'spongy' feel to the writing, as the mechanism relies on you pressing down on the nib on each stroke to turn the lead each time, so you may have to get used to the pencil having a bit of 'give' and, if you have a light hand,

I have been using this everyday and it is amazing, the only thing I have which I wasn't fully satisfied with was the size of the rubber, it kept falling out onto my table whenever I tried to erase something and now I have lost it. However, the led is easily replaceable and the product itself I consider , is a steal fro the low price you pay for it, I want to order more just so I can have multicolour led's in each one.

BEST PENCIL EVER! It sharpens itself. Sharpening mechanism work by rotating the lead everytime the pencil is pushed onto the paper. This makes the mechanism far more effective for certain styles of writing/drawing. I use it for making notes, performing calculations and quick sketches and it works wonderfully. Not quite so much when I tried writing in cursive, but its a pencil, who writes like that in pencil anyway?

This is a really good mechanical pencil. The led stays sharp making the use of this pencil very fluid (as there is no need to constantly turn to the sharp side of the led).The actual pencil looks very stylish, while using it I have had compliments and questions as to what pencil I'm using.All in all, a must-buy for mechanical pencil users.

For the price one really shouldn't and can't complain. The pencil, having a fine lead, and its mechanism is great. My only criticism is that the tiny rubber on the end has no seating. With any exuberance whilst erasing it easily falls out and could be list forever.

Incredible pencil for any technical use. Not rotating the pencil and allowing mechanism to do this for you takes some getting used to. Construction feels robust. Blister packaged. Astonishing price!

Because of the system this pencil uses it remains evenly sharp, thus maintaining clear writing.
