Turok Evolution seems to have generated a hugely polarized audience - more than any other game for the Xbox I have seen reviewed in fact.People should stop drawing comparisons with Halo - the fact they are both FPSs is really irrelevant.The criticisms I take on board are the annoying flying levels late on in the game; sometimes the environments do become a little 2D; maybe one or two additional saves within larger levels would have been desirable.I think a lot of the negative reviews are written by people whoexpect to gain full playability within an hour of switching their console on. I cannot understand how anyone can say for example that the controls are any more difficult to pick up than

I've read a number of mixed reviews about this game and I have to say that after the amount of hype surrounding the game on launch I felt a little deflated to see it getting some average reviews. Despite this I bought the game (for the XBox) and I have to say that I love it. It's a truly immersive experience. The music score is excellent, which creates great atmosphere, and the graphics successfully produce interesting and lush environments. I also think the flying sections are nice break from FPS stuff and to me are reminiscent of the old Panzer Dragoon game on the Sega Saturn (great game).The bottom line is: If you believed all the hype, you might be disappointed,

I am a big fan of Turok's on the N64 and when I herd about Turok Evolution being on next-gen consoles I couldn't wait.I bought the game and my first impressions were that it was superb, everything I had wanted out of it. But when I got into the game I was very frustrated about how hard it was.You die very quickly and there are lots of enemies and little ammo causing a problem. The graphics are ok but not superb but the guns are awesome and the true heart of the game.The enemies are intelligent and hide,duck and ambush you making the game a realistic experience.The flying levels though could of been better but are still a break from the normal FPS modes.A good game if u have alot of patience,but

You'll find this under a fiver in a lot of game shops bargain bins (and as a used item here) and in terms of value, that is excellent.This is a huge, immersive, atmospheric and very playable FPS. You'll keep cpming back again to again to its massive levels with a psychotic and determined gleam in your eye. In fact, you'll have to keep coming back again and again, as the most frustrating aspect of this is the lack of humane 'save' features. You may be inches from end of level victory, take a bullet in your broad manly chest, and then it's back to the start.But this did not desrve the critical panning rceeived. Doom 3 allowed me save wherever I was, but I'm enjoying Turok more.

The previous games have all brought something new to the first person shooter that no one has ever seen before and this is no exception! with lush graphics and excellent game play this is a welcome change from the usual gene of fps that have been released to date. The game does fall down on a few points, the control system could have been fine tuned a bit more and the loading between levels makes you feel board(when will they release a sub game to play while your waiting for a load? im not asking for much just something to brake the teadium of excessive load times) but other than that an impressive game with plenty of multi-player options and variety for any fps fan.

This game does stay true to the turok games from the past but the controls could have been alot better. Aiming with the pistol or the bows when not using the sniper function is extremely difficult and annoying! The weapons are balanced quite well and the weapon upgrade options add more complexity to this turok game.The flying levels in this game are amazing and very action packed. These are by far the best parts of the game. Its almost like playing rouge leader (Gamecube) on the Xbox!If you like the other Turok games which featured on the N64 and the PC, then your in for a treat with the latest instalment. Its not a HALO beater but it didn't set out to be one.

Having had both titles on the N64 I was looking forward to the release of Evolution and wasn't disappointed. The plethora of weapons is awesome, with several secondary functions to expand your firepower. Like Halo, the attention to detail was mind-blowing and it all enhanced the gameplay.If there was one drawback, it's the saving in the game. You can almost complete reasonably large levels, and if you die it's back to the beginning. This was common in old games but more regular saving is a feature that has been introduced more recently and I find prevents severe frustration.However, I would still very much recommend it to anyone who enjoys 1st person shooters.

This game is very good, in a strang way. This is because you need to think things through carefully in the little time the game gives you.It is great fun, the gore and the way everything dies is hilarious, i will never get bored of knocking trees down onto dinosaurs! However, sometimes it gets too difficult and you hjave to use cheats. Overall a good game to play for a few days. Buy it or rent it and you'll see what i mean, especially if you get to chapter 3!

Well I only bought this game last week, but I'm very impressed with it. I havn't played any of the previous Turok games before but have found learning this game to be good fun, the game teaches you to do more as it goes along and although some parts are testing they are not so hard as to make you want to give up. The flying sequences are great!

It was a lazy sunday and me and my mate(lopephish) put this game on and we got hooked 4 about 4 hours untill we got moved on it is a quality game to be fare just give it a chance.

a good game, sometimes frantic, funny, action, highly recommended, makes you have a good time, these dinosaurs pretty good for the last generation of consoles

The graphics are bad?On my computer there better than the sims 2 graphics!The game overall is actuallygood and quite challenging!Overall a Fab GAME!
