This is a brilliant product. Our cat has wrecked our wallpaper at the top of the stairs as she would use that to scratch rather than the cat tree situated in our bedroom, about 3 steps away from the stairs! We took other reviewers' advice and screwed the bottom with a normal screw we had lying around, as well as the top one that you are instructed to do.Our cat absolutely adores it and i'll be purchasing another one to screw in at the bottom of our stairs once I get paid. She's started scratching our bottom step (again, cat tree is situated literally 3 steps away for her!) so think she really just like a stretch and scratch before she goes up and down the stairs. It doesn't look that big,but our cat is a lanky mog and she really reaches and stretches on this and really loves it.

Both our cats love it. It takes up very little space, and provides a good surface area for scratching - way better than a post. I have put it in our hallway and only nearly tripped over the cats a couple of times while they're using it! I removed the silly tag at the top and just put two screws through the top and bottom of the board, straight into the wall. If you do this: beware of the screw or drill getting caught up in the faux fur edging - I pre-cut small holes in the fabric with a knife, and carefully drilled pilot holes before securing it to the wall. It moults some fluff when you first put it up, but this decreases over time. Might get another when we've redecorated.

Completely solved our problem of our 4 cats scratching the wallpaper. Even a regular scratching post didn`t help.....since we fastened this to the wall , they all go straight to it , leaving all the rest of the walls alone. ! Couldn`t be more pleased. Will be ordering another couple soon , as the only thing is , with use , it will start to fray quite badly , and look unsightly , but at that price , I have no problem changing it every 6 months or so .....certainly cheaper than redecorating !...Great idea , and it`s tall enough for the cats to have a good long stretch !.....Little tip....does need securing at the bottom , as well as the top..

I bought this to replace an old similar product. My cat, Oscar, prefers it flat on the ground. He spent many an hour sat on it .. as cats do.This scratch board is really big and solid. It's rope type material, not one of those cardboard ones, so they can really get their claws in to it without it falling apart.A year later it was still showing no signs of wearing out but sadly Oscar passed away. Call me ridiculous but sitting on his "surfboard" was very much a part of his personality so I buried it with him in his favourite spot in the garden. Now I need a new one for a new arrival! Lets hope she loves it as much as he did.

A sturdy board with good quality covering. Much better than I'd expected the back is covered in a sort of soft carpet so it won't damage the surface you put it against. Had read other reviews complaining about the lack of fixing at the bottom. I'm planning to fix it onto my bannister rails so will use 2 long cable ties. the tiny and short fixing loop and 2 small screws do seem a little inadequate for anybody wanting to fix it to a wall or door frame though. Hope our new kitten likes it and will use it where WE want to fix it!

My second one of these. The first one lasted years with 2 big moggies and was technically still fine, just starting to look a bit torn and scraggy, partly because I kept it near their food area and had washed it with water because of food splashes accumulating.I love this. It's sturdy, big, and they were straight away more attracted to this than the furniture. My cats like it lied down along the floor. I think they like the stretch factor while they scratch!Great price too. Only crept up slightly since my old purchase.

For some weird reason it has been really difficult to find a replacement wall mounted cat scratch board following the eventual collapse of my previous one! Thankfully this product eventually popped up in my google search when I had all but given up hope of finding one. It's a good length, so the cats can have a good long stretch at the same time as scratching, and they use it all the time now instead of my sofa arm, and it appears to me to be much more satisfying for them. :-)

This is the second time I have purchased this product although it's been a couple of years the original design was smaller but had more robust fittings to mount against a suitable fixing, these were swapped over and is now firmly fixed to the stair post, the cat loves to use it. This design is slightly large but is unobtrusive and was well worth the money. Would most definitely purchase a replacement when this one has been shredded to bits probably in another couple of years.

I bought this mainly for our male cat who much prefers using it flat on the floor. He even uses it as a resting board and comforter. However when using it flat, it did expose the hanging tag which he found irresistible. Gradually he chewed it to pieces and we never did find the piece of plastic forming part of the hanger! I would advise cutting it off before use if it is not to be hung on a wall.

Great idea - better than the stand alone type as you can fix it to doors, walls, furniture etc where ever your cat seems to want to scratch. Agree with other reviews that it need a fixture at the bottom though to stop cats pulling it up and off where its been fixed. Easy enough for you to remedy though with a screw. Very sturdy and well made and my cats enjoy using it. Highly recommend.

This thing is TALL man. Bloody tall. So tall in fact the cat looked at it, thought "Hmmmm daddy, this is a TALL scratching post, what should I do?".So she realised that she could do a stand up scratch. Cool stuff. However, this was the killer, she started to WALK up it. She has done this several times now, sadly every-time I get my camera she jumps down.Buy this one.

Very useful to stop our cats scratching the door frames. Works and they love it but the one small screw in place was soon out of the door (after about a week) as it is a heavy item ..so we were brave and knocked two nails through it to reattach, top and bottom..so far it has stayed put 2 weeks! Highly recommend for preventing permanent damage to door frames etc.

My two cats love this - bought it to deter them from scratching the new stair carpet and it has worked really well. I didn't put it on the wall in the end as they also love to lie on it. So far it's holding up to lots of scratching, it's a good size and well made. Think I'll have to buy another one soon so they have one each - would definitely recommend.

Great product if you're lacking floor space to accommodate the platform-style scratching posts. Whilst this is very slim in design, they're perfect for cats to use, and being wall-mounted, can be positioned at a height to suit your cat! And for the price, you could afford to have a few dotted around the walls...brilliant!!!

The screw to put it up was a little flimsy. Thankfully, a kind builder from my landlord who was making repairs, put it up for me with a stronger, better screw and ensured that my 'fat boy' cat couldn't pull it down. Other than that, there is no issue; its 'approved' by all three of my cats and was prompt in its delivery.
