Love this little guitar. You can coax a surprising number of tones out of this with the single coil and piezo pickups. I especially like the tone of the piezo by itself or in combination with the single-coil. I also tried a Traveler Ultra-light for a week, and feel the Pro-Series is worth the extra money, and really isn't considerably bigger when folded up. Sure, the Traveler Pro-series is not nearly the same as a full-size guitar, but if you travel on planes and want a guitar to take with you to practice with, then this guitar is indispensable. The ergonomics take a minute to get used to, but once you do, you'll find yourself grabbing this rather than a full-size guitar when reclining on the couch and noodling around (or at least I do).Works best with a properly adjusted guitar strap. I've had no problem traveling with this guitar in overhead compartments on planes, and it will even fit inside a large suitcase if you'd like to check it instead of carrying it on.I placed a piece of thick tape between where the lap-rest connects to the body just to take out some of the play that I found annoying where they come together. It feels relatively durable, and the build quality is excellent, but I'd not be too rough with it. I plan to replace the tuners with the newer locking tuners that Traveler now offers which will make restringing much, much easier.Traveler calls this an acoustic guitar, and they provide acoustic strings for feel and plugged in tone, but unplugged it makes no more sound than an unplugged electric would (maybe less, actually). The included stethophone is cool but no replacement for the sound of a real acoustic, and not particularly loud. Works best for practicing quietly in conjunction with a guitar headphone amp (VOX AP2AC amPlug AC30 G2), or running it through your iPhone or iPad using Apogee Jam or an iRig.

I bought this guitar online about a month ago and has been playing it since last 2 weeks before giving a comment. The seller provide fast and accurate delivery time length, item was properly wrapped and came in perfect condition. The advantages of this traveler guitar have been well described by other players. The reason for not giving 5 stars is this guitar has a clear "Made in China" mark on its back, not to say China's goods are imperfect, it is just when i order this guitar from Europe and paying USD currency, i was hopping that it's really made by its original country; I will directly order from china if i knew this. Lastly is just my personal suggestion,i wish in future there will be a 25 frets pro-series.

My expectations were fairly low, I just wanted a full-length neck in a small size, to throw in a suitcase, but after I received the guitar and took it to a band rehearsal for laughs, it sounds and plays really good. It doesn't have the weight or balance of a 'real' guitar, and it's not fair to expect that in this guitar, but for the price, and what it's designed to do, you can't go wrong. I keep it by the couch in the living room, in the case, and my wife doesn't mind. When I would leave a full size guitar in there, to noodle on when I felt like it, I could not leave it there when I wasn't playing it. Happy wife, happy life.

Seriously, i love this guitar. We are traveling internationally as a family for an extended period of time and there is no way we could take a full size guitar...much less 2. It is built solid and sounds great. We bought one of these and also a yamaha silent, its pretty dope too. My daughter has smaller hands and the size of this is awesome for her. It is a little awkard to hold but you get accustomed to it quick and a strap never hurt anyone. It is a perfect guitar for the traveler and just pick up a vox or a mini amp/hp to replace the uncomfortable ear set it comes with. Pretty cool!!! Happy travels and good sounds!

This guitar has exceeded my expectations. The tone is amazing. I'm learning Pink Floyd licks and because I work offshore for three weeks at a time I needed a good guitar to practice on. It sounds great with the bends and hammer offs required in Pink Floyd riffs. I changed the strings straight away to Elixir because the guitar comes with a wire wound g string. Not good for 3 note bends. It handles well and the full length neck is a bonus for such a short guitar. You get what you pay for. I'm glad I chose this guitar.

I’ve found this to be a great instrument for situations where I can’t (or don’t want to) bring one of my full size guitars. The Travel Guitar Pro Series is rugged yet capable of producing great quality sounds when combined with a plug-in amp. I use the “stethoscope” without any problem but the sound quality is diminished. Finally, while the “feel” does not replicate full size guitars, the fret board is the same, so the left hand gets a regular workout (or warm-up) as when playing a Fender.

Ain't the greatest guitarist around but I've had a # of decent ones in the past. For some weird reason this one , is for me, truly inspirining to work with. Maybe it's my minimalist nature with things. The stethoscope thing hurts your hears real fast but it's pretty cool to incorporate. Been working dealing with dumb idiots all day and one of the only things that got me through was the fact that I could come home and play this thing. And that time is now, so later.

Have been using this thing for the past couple of years, the sound is clear and the pick-ups sound great for such a small package. The stethoscope is uncomfortable and needs to be replaced with something usable though. This guitar is really durable, I have gotten it caught in the airport scanners on more than one occasion, and have dropped I numerous times and there is nary scratch on it!Good buy, would buy again.

For compact portability, this guitar is superb. Fits in my backpack (ok, it sticks out on top) and also in the carry-on for airlines. The neck action is great, so it serves as an excellent practice guitar while traveling. The feature that really hooked me was the stethophone - headphone capability with no external plugins, batteries or electronics. Just wood vibrations. Keeps my fingers in shape anywhere I go.

Just amazing...It's all there, all the components of an electroacoustic guitar, in half the size and weight. The stetophone is simply brilliant. Once you try it, it's impossible to think in another thing to play on the go...For someone constantly travelling by plane like me, this couldn't be more adequate, more ideally designed!!!!Kudos to the one who engineered this masterpiece!

This travel guitar is just awesome! It plays like a guitar, and with the stethascope headphones it sounds just like an acoustic guitar! It is a heavy item, and because it has no body, the balance feels funny at first, but you get used to it. I play acoustic guitar, and this was my first intro to an electric guitar, which has been a lot of fun!

Good guitar good build and sound thru headphone amp is good. Just one problem one of the coil pickups not recessed properly sticks out about 1.5 mm doesn't seem to effect audible sound quality so just accepted it, so maybe their QC team needs more Coffee otherwise fine plays great. the design is really good for a traveler like me.

Everything that was promised was delivered and more. Sweet sound. Action and neck almost identical to my Strat. Very light and compact but superbly balanced. They have really thought the design thru. Super versatile. I am about to take it on a 3 month tour of UK/Europe.

i chose this guitar for its lightness.. i have crushed discs in my back so every ounce i can shave of the better, plus the tone range is interesting..ive always liked the 'big acoustic' sound you get with the piezzo....now i gotta learn how to play again!...

Like overall fit and finish, think the location of amp Jack is not well thought outLike its compactness. Being an OTR driver, being sturdy and compact is ideal. Will seriously consider moving up to the more higher ended version in the future.
