I have to say, I've had my hands on quite a few Mexican made Fenders over the years and I've found them to be very good guitars. But this?! WOW!I had to get a sunburst playa Strat. The sound this guitar chucks out is awesome with the new pickups. Gone are the old ceramic ones. They have now been replaced with Alnico pick ups very similar to the ones in the old American standard some years ago. I think a lot of people whined about the ceramic pickups. They weren't bad pickups by any means, but I admit they didn't sound as authentically "Stratty" as they could.Well forget all that now. If you are turning your nose up because of that previous tone difference, rest assured this guitar is now full fat 100% real Stratocaster tone now.

If you are looking for a modern stat, this is a good place to start. Compared to the old standard series the new alnico pickups sound more "strat like", the neck feels great with satin varnish on the rear and slightly narrower but taller frets and a vibrato that is as good as any non locking system I've used. O.K, if you want the full vintage vibe this probably won't be for you, but if you want a good, playable, gig friendly strat for around a third of the price of an American pro/elite series check one of these out. Five stars. -Mike

WOW!!!!!!!.............This guitar is really, really beaten up but it's built like a tank. The tones on this thing are simply awesome, as good as a Gibson on the neck pickup. The action, now I've adjusted it, is better than any guitar I've ever owned. The look is superb, retro, relic and very cool. Simply wonderful......when I first laid eyes on it I thought "God, what have I done????", but with a bit of tlc and elbow grease I now own a guitar that rivals my PRS but is way more soulful.

My dream has finally come to reality, my all time guitar god is Ritchie Blackmore so to have a fender stratocaster like him makes you want to be a better player. This guitar is immaculate in its finish and I look forward to many hours of playing it.

This is a brilliant guitar. Made in Mexico hence a lower price, but standard is first class. Sound very good. Doesn't go out of tune as easy as my other electric guitar, even on first few plays. Love the tremolo arm.

Absolutely bowled over by the Top Quality build, tone and playability of this instrument. It really is a Fantastic Fender in all respects !

Great guitar tuned it up and it was ready to play made in Mexico they seem to try a bit harder than made in usa

Right out of the box this guitar sounds great. It maybe MIM but it’s still a high quality instrument.
