Nice guitar (for all I know of guitars, which isn't much). Reviews by people who know more (including musician friends I trust) are good, as a beginner's guitar.Two things to bear in mind1. It's NOT full size. I'm not sure if that makes it more difficult to modify/upgrade in future. It may make transition to a full-size guitar harder if you learn with this. Then again, most people learn when they're young teenagers, so maybe this will suit well.2. The packaging is TERRIBLE: I mean, INSANE. literally a guitar thrown into in a big wide box. There's that light foam wrap stuff, but that's not protection. I'm honestly surprised it survived the trip. If you're receiving one of these by mail and signing for it,

I don't know how they make and sell such a good guitar for the money. I took it out of the box and it was already in tune – and it keeps in tune for days. On all my previous guitars I have had to retune them each time before use, but this stays pretty well there. Don't be put off by the name Squier. It is still built under licence from Fender and, in many ways, identical to the full blown Fender Strat, but unless you're performing at the Royal Albert Hall, you probably won't discern much difference. Google "Squier v Fender" and you'll see I'm not the only person with this opinion.

Nice guitar for the money, but does have a few build quality issues. Firstly as it arrived the intonation was slightly out. Also the screws holding the bridge to the body were not fully screwed down and this was causing the bridge to sit slighly at an angle. I have also had a problem with the jack plug socket coming loose. Why no spring washer?I would still recommend the guitar for the money as it plays quite well and it looks expensive, but it may need a bit of setting up before being at it's optimum.

This is my first guitar so I'm afraid I don't know all the language but to me this guitar is perfect. It looks like it should be ten times the price and it feels that way too. This guitar is the best you will buy for £100 and is probably better than some more expensive ones out there! If you're learning or just need a backup guitar - this guitar is good for everyone.

I thought this would sound like a cheap guitar, and feel like one too, but it didn't at all. I love the smoothness of the fretboards and the strings, it sounds amazing both on an amplifier and connected to my scarlett 2i2 audio interface and to logic. Great for people who wanna make music on the go, don't underestimate this guitar!

I absolutely love this guitar. It's very well made and produces a great Fender sound - even though I'm no rock guitarist! I play it through an ancient 270w Pioneer Amp and a pair of Celestion Ditton speakers. If I insert my little Jonny Briggs belt amp into the feed the Overdrive is incredible!

Almost hard to believe the price of this guitar. Bought it for my brother when his own guitar died, and he is overjoyed. Fantastic sound, lovely quality, it's a Fender, so... can't really argue.

Got the squier telecaster last month loved it so I got the stag and this is just as good. For the price I have found them. To be what I wanted in sound and so easy to play

Well I didn't buy mine from here and I can't play but by all accounts from people I know who can play ,think its an absolute bargain for the build and sound quality.

This was bought as a present for my 10 year old and we both absolutely love playing it. It is excellent quality and is a very good first electric guitar.
