The Fender Squire Classic Vibe 70's Thinline Telecaster is a 'Dark Horse'! Fender USA had a glut of parts, so they shipped them off to their Factory in Indonesia and put them together as the Squire Classic Vibe 70's Thinline Tele. This guitar only cost me £329! It's basically an American Fender, just has the Squire badge on it, but just pick it up & play it and you will know immediately it's quality is MIJ or USA. The Classic Vibe neck has always been a real winner, so much easier to play than the original clubby one on the, now Vintage(and incredibly expensive) 70's Thinline. I know because I had one(what a fool I was to flog it!) It's also quite lighter, but still sustains forever.I have another Classic Vibe Custom, three colour sunburst, rosewood neck, which is also a guitar that is hard to put down!I bought the Thinline new, and it hardly cost much more than the second hand deluxe! So, I have a single coil Tele and Humbuckers Tele that feel as good or better than the expensive American equivalents, how happy am I? Very Very Happy!!Read full review...

Bought this for a project. Wanted to replace the pickups. The quality overall is very good for the price. The tuners, the body amd the neck are really good. Great quality. The frets finishing is better than on my Stratocaster Elite (?!?!? Really? Fender?).But the electronics are not great. They are ok. But my plan was to swap them anyway. I changed the pickups for a pair of Vaughn Skow and changed all the pots for quality pots and the guitar sounds amazing. Really worth it for a project like this or a great beginner guitar. But you will outgrow the pickups.

I’m blown away by how nice this guitar looks and sounds. The neck on mine is incredible! Glossy flamed maple goodness. The pickups sound fat and really push my amp nicely. I would say the quality is better than my 2019 Fender Player Series Telecaster. It will need a setup though. The action is quite high and the intonation definitely needs to be set. The fret ends are a bit sharp as well. No big deal. All in all I’m more likely to buy another Squier Classic Vibe than any new Fender again. Squier is killing it!

You'll need to do a set up, thats for sure. But other than that its brilliant. Its different to my MIM Telecaster but beautifully so. The quality for the price is incredible. To be honest, you are better off getting one of these as opposed to the fender equivalent and spending the difference on a decent amp.

Nice finish, very easy to play due to it being well made. The action is nice and low, so very kind on the fingers, thus making it very comfortable to bend and dampen the strings. A very good 'nod' to the Fender original..

Arrived set up quite well in terms of action but the strings were biting a little deep into the nut. New Tusq nut and size 10 strings and a bit more fettling with the saddles and she's perfect.

What can I say? I love it. I had to spend a lot of time setting it up but I also enjoy that work too.It sounds great, feels great and looks great.
