I seldom get around to reviewing the things I've bought online but I think this little train set deserves a special mention. My son is 2 and we bought this for his second birthday. We opened it the other night so it would be ready for him when he woke up and I was hugely impressed. There are loads of pieces to play with and they are well crafted and sturdy. It genuinely is an absolute bargain. My son really likes Thomas but the wooden Thomas tracks are quite overpriced. I also looked at brio train sets but again you don't get much for your money. We chanced upon this set on amazon and I honestly can't recommend it enough.

Brilliant Product. Very please as my 4 year old son loves anything to do with trains. Plus also can connect with Biro and Ikea train tracks. I have spent a fortune on trains over the last few years as my son must have a fully functioning grand central station by now. For the price and quality of the product it's excellent. Also if you like London it takes you through all the sights including the eye and Buckingham palace. Very colourful and well made. Plus they do international shipping, which was completed in 4 days. Very pleased.

Overall cute little train set. Love all the buildings and even trees for play versatility. The cars can run the track too, an exciting extra feature. Only dislike is some of the pieces are not laminated (the generic buildings), and some laminated already have some scratches out of box. Also wish a full building list was included so I could easily know the names of the ones I'm not so familiar with. Otherwise absolutely adorable overall and my three year old has been playing with it non-stop since her birthday a few days ago.

We bought this train set for our 22 month old son for christmas. We were so pleased with the design and quality and he loves it! Such a novelty from the standard train set design and very well replicated. Fits together with an existing Melissa and Doug and Brio set no problems. Only comment would be that we have tiled floors and some of the pieces have chipped slightly but a bit of care in use and storage and I'm sure it will be fine. Our 5 year old loves it too, a great family gift.

We gave this to our 2 year old at Christmas. It's a great size and can be taken in the box to his Grandma's etc.Easily put together - the train and vehicles run on the tracks and there are several London landmarks to make up the scene. I'm pretty sure if you wanted to expand the track or buy more trains it is compatible with many similar makes.It will last several years. A lovely toy.Mark R,

Bought this for a young friend (3) to add to his existing (Ikea) layout. We took him to London and saw a lot of the landmarks in the days after Christmas (when he got the present) & he had a great time spotting places as well as trains, buses and taxis etc! He loves getting the train set out and naming the landamarks and getting the layout right. Lots of happy play anticipated.

Bought it for my children (3 years old), but I enjoyed it more. Well made, very nice. I believe they will appreciate it more after they visit London. The children of some friends, who were 7-10 years old, loved it. Only problem: it needs to stand on a really flat surface, otherwise the little parts fall down (trees, buildings etc), which frustrates the children.

I bought this for my 20month old nephew and essentially ruined christmas for everyone who gave him a present after this one. He LOVES it.The pieces are a great size for little hands and he loves the BT Tower especially. Lots of scope for different layouts and games, and we can always add more track and trains ad he gets older.

Bought this for my 3 year old... completely loves it. He can recognise all of the included landmarks and vehicles from his visits to London so it makes for excellent relatable and imaginative play. He also finds it easy to assemble and pack away so the construction aspect of it also appeals too. Recommended.

This was a present for my grandsons 2nd birthday. It is perfect in every way and he loved the added London landmark extras. The chunky transport pieces are perfect for small hands. It is both colourful and robust........ A great train set with added extras and good value for money.

The London Train Set was an excellent buy and something a little bit different from all the other ones out there. My little boy who's 2yr old loves it, and I'm hoping that as he gets a bit older he will learn how to put it together and recognize some of the London icons!!!

Bought as a gift, at a reasonable price.Arrived as promisedThe friends grandson loved it (according to his dad) although he struggled with the idea of a train without an engine. Too young to have travelled on the tube. He has that please to come.What's not too like?

We bought this for our son's second birthday and he loves it. It is a really solid, well made product and the London landmarks are fun. Its compatible with other train sets / tracks so is a present that will just grow and grow with our son.

2yr old son, loves this toy and we have expanded it as well, so its bigger. Pieces are well build and durable and the track is easy to put together. Arrived in good time and my son loves playing with it. Highly recommend this product.

We are really happy with this Christmas purchase. Not only did our son love it but it is also fully compatible with the Ikea, Brio and Bigjiggs sets he already had. I'd say the finish is actually smoother to the touch. Recommended.
