These are very good fans and bonus they look good too. My first one had a controller problem, excuse the pun but the lights were on but no one was home. None of the buttons worked and it was stuck on red for 2 days before the light stopped altogether. It is apparent that you are reliant on the controller. The replacement arrived and all was well. One thing I have noticed is the performance, you don't sacrifice any to have that bling. No I mean have that Riing of which I now have two at the front of my pc spreading that cool air to the back of my case and keeping my GPU cool as an extra bonus. Yes performance is there regardless of the bling as even when you turn the riing off it still pumps outa decent amount of air more so then the corsair 140mm AF I had there before.I tested in a non scientific way :) and rpm for rpm the TT fans blow more air out according to the back of my hand and cold reaction. But rpm for rpm the TT fans are a little louder but not by much.Lets address the elephant in the room the controller. There is no denying it, it is bulky and awkward the placement of the wires means it is hard to sometimes find a decent place to house it. Partly due to the fan cables at the front and the power cable at the back. It would have made life a little easier if the power cable had been to the side, making the controller easy to maneuver. Best solution I found was to switch it to low RPM mode and colour cycle and leave it hidden in the rear compartment of my case. They do come with Velcro but taking the cables out side the case is a challenge if you don't have rubber grommet exit holes at the back.Cables you get the standard cables power and fan link to controller but no way to slow the the fans down any further, which would have been a real nice move. The fans are much quieter at 700rpm and still chuck out lots of air. There should have been 3 modes to the controller high, mid and low. There seems to be an extra connection point for a sync cable but this does not seem to be able for purchase and as the controller only houses 3 fans you can end up with groups of fans cycling through different colours thus kind of hurting some of the point of these fans. There are rumors that this will be made available. I would prefer a connection to the USB and software to sync up multiple groups and a way to pick a specific colour and RPM in the 700rpm range. They still outclass lesser red/green/blue glowing fans but you have to pay for this as they are not the cheapest fans but then they are not the most expensive either.Update 17/04/16If you have a motherboard with integrated fan controllers make sure they are set to PWM and not DC. Then you are able to control the speed via the bios or a fan suite e.g. ai suite.Support warning - there support is in Germany while there is a UK Facebook page if you have a technical issue you will be directed to a German email address. I hope they expand on the UK side soon as they expand their sales in the UK as they have some interesting products.

I have purchased two of these lovely fans to replace my corsair hydro 115i AIO radiator fans. They keep the cpu nice and cool, despite running a lot slower than the regular corsair fans. The lighting is crisp and professional looking, I love how only the outer ring really shows the light, as most rgb fans bleed into the whole fan which doesn't look as tidy to me. The fans are very quiet, quieter than the corsair fans they replaced, although these do run at a lower speed. The fan controller makes wiring and cable management a lot easier as there is extra length if needed, and the cables are kind of braided too for a more premium look. The only thing I can say bad about anything at this point regarding the fan controller is that the small adhesive velcro patch included to keep the fan controller in a good position does tend to come unstuck - only a minor niggle for me as my case is open to access and stick it back in.IMPORTANT NOTE - if like me your motherboard detects the fans are going too slow to (in it's opinion) it will not post. You may need to adjust the cpu fan settings in the bios to a lower rating or to have no lower limit. All I can recommend is googling the error and use your MOBO as a reference to find out how to do this, if it is a problem for you. I have attached a picture to show off how the fans look, in conjunction with a thermal take core p5 case and Toughpower PSU (I like to show it off :D) Also note the temperature at the top right of the motherboard in a very warm house.

I used one of these fans to add some colour to my mini ITX watercooled PC. It works well as a radiator fan. It is a little noisy when at full speed but still acceptable. The range of colour settings is good. I generally just leave it set to white, which gives a good amount of light output in the case. I'm sure I could have achieved better cooling performance with a different fan, but chose this fan because of the RGB lighting. It gives you the option to quickly change the colour of your build. Overall im happy with the product and it works well. If i could suggest an improvement, It would be nice to have the ability to use the controller for Thermaltake's RGB strips as well.

I can't recommend thermaltake enough as a company. And their fans are incredible. If you can afford to fork out enough for Riing 14 fans, they'll last you for ages. They're practically silent (the quietest fans I've used by far), incredibly sturdy, and have lovely lighting. Just make sure to plug the power into the power end of the controller rather than the accessory end like I did by mistake :/ unless you want smoke lol

Not quite up to some of the newer RGB standards however works as it should and is ok to control, may be worth looking at digitally controlled to make things sync and easier.
