This was bought for a new system build that was lacking a rear exhaust fan. I'm running an AMD 6300 Processor which doesn't come with that great of a heatsink cooler, and so whilst my system didn't appear to be suffering any performance detriments in the few days I had it running without a rear fan, the closest stick of RAM and the motherboard connector at the back were getting noticeably hot as a result of the hot CPU air being pushed around the case and not really going anywhere. I was getting idle temperatures of around 50°C on the CPU and 45°C on the Motherboard. (GPU and Hard Drives were largely unaffected due to the GPU being an XFX DD card so excellent built-in cooling and the Hard Drive being closest to the front intake fan)After installing this fan,my CPU now runs at 35°C or less at idle, barely scraping above 55°C under the load I've tried it with over the past week. The cables on this item come with a built-in splitter. So I plugged this fan straight into the CPU fan header, and daisy-chained my CPU fan onto this. I had actually purchased a splitter separately not realising this, which may be something to bear in mind for anyone else using it for a similar purpose to mine.I've also installed this fan with my own rubber screws harvested from an old computer. I've no idea how noisy this thing would be without them, but I can honestly say that with them I'm yet to hear a peep from this fan even under load. Not an ounce of disappointment from this product for me as of yet. Would gladly buy another as a side-panel intake but the temperature improvements from just one extra fan have meant I don't look to be needing it for a good while.

I purchased this as I recently got a 'CPU Fan Not Detected' message when starting my desktop up. Opening the case I found the fan was working but sometimes only did so after pressing F1 (as advised after the warning message). Looking around at other opinions on the problem it could either be the fan needed lubricating, replacing or it was a 'software' problem with a Windows 10 Update. This fan works well - and quietly. I tried it out but put back the existing a fan as it still has life in it. The existing fan also has four pins to the power source socket whilst this has three. That is not a problem as this three pin fan can fit and will work on a four pin socket. The fourth pin is for monitoring while this fan has a separate wire/sensor that attaches to the fan case to monitor temperature. In all, changing the fan is a somewhat fiddly and tricky job so best done only when really necessary. The key thing is to get the right size of fan. This is a good guide to selecting the right fan size:Screw hole spacings (horizontal or vertical - not diagonal) and fan sizes32mm between screw holes 40mm fan size40mm between screw holes 50mm fan size50mm between screw holes 60mm fan size60mm between screw holes 70mm fan size72mm between screw holes 80mm fan size83mm between screw holes 92mm fan size105mm between screw holes 120mm fan size

These are just beautiful - they make no sound at all.My old fans had become noisy and cleaning them and adding a drop of WD40 only solved the problem for so long before they became noisy again. I had a bad experience buying fans from some shops in town. I bought one that had a noise rating of 0.20 and then in the next shop I was in I saw one that had a rating of 0.19 so bought that as well. The 0.20 was louder than my faulty fan and the 0.19 was louder than the 0.20. So reluctanty I stuck with my old fans. Sometimes they were quiet and then, usually late at night, they rattled like an old propeller plane taking off. Finally last week I decided to have another attempt, and so bought 3 of these fans.(3 was the minimum purchase but I only needed 2, so I have a spare if one of these becomes noisy.) Just one thing - my case must be quite thick as the screws were too short so I used the screws that held my old fans in place.Just make sure you get them the right way round. The fan in the side of my case (drawing air in) has the logo on the outside, and the one at the top of the case (blowing air out) has the logo on the inside. (This is the opposite to how my previous fans were, so it's worth making sure you install them the right way round.)

I bought a set of 5 of these for a series of builds that I was doing that required some rear exhaust fans. I chose these for two reasons, they were under £2.50 per fan when buying 5 at once and they were white, which corresponded with the colour scheme of the first build I was producing. They come with all screws to afix them to the rear-case grille and they screw in just fine. Some fans can be quite hard to get the screw into and you end up stripping the screw-head trying to screw it in, but these were fine. They're regular fans and not temperature controlled, so they run at the speed of the motherboard fan-controller. I can't remember, but I think they're voltage controlled,so depending on the motherboard they should run faster/slower depending on the heat of the motherboard. The run really silently, look great and significantly lowered the temperature of my builds. I've used most of these and will certainly be buying more, should I need them, and should they be at this price.I've always had good performance out of Arctic fans. They're obviously much cheaper than 'premium' fans like Corsair or whatever, but they perform well enough for me and appear to be long-lived so I will continue to buy them.

Purchased 14 March 2020 at a price of £12.61, making it roughly £2.50 +/- a fan! Where else can you get cases fans at this price brand new? Arctic is a highly regarded and well known brand, which produces a lot of cooling solutions such as MX-4 thermal paste. Any system builder worth his salt should be aware of this brand. The fans arrived in a plain brown cardboard box with a sticker on the front indicating it was a value fan pack, typical of bulk packaging. On opening the package I was over the moon to find a set of screws were also included. Not much to get hyped up about on the aesthetics, a modest but simple design. One of the reasons I purchased as I hate crazy RGB lighting. The fans are made from plastic, the outer shroud is black in colour with the actual fans white. Attached to the center of the fan is Arctic's logo. Please note the fans I purchased were 3 pin non PWM models, since, I intend to use them to replace a set of power supply's stock fans. I do not find these fans to be overly noisy, however, they are louder than the premium Noctua offerings which cost extremely more.Great price to performance ratio.

These are small fans so they don't shift a huge volume of air - enough though unless your using high powered components. I fitted one at the bottom front of a tower case for intake, and a second at the top back for exhaust. (They have little arrows on the casing indicating both the direction of air flow and the direction of spin). Along with the CPU fan and the fan in the power supply they keep the system at a good temperature. Probably would have been okay without them as they aren't spinning hard. The PWM works fine and both fans show up in the BIOS setup; and also within the OS with sensor monitoring software (in this case Linux but will be fine in other OSes too,I don't doubt). They are very quite - although I turned off PWM out of curiosity to hear what they would be like at full belt and they did make quite a bit of noise (reassuring in the sense that they are capable of working hard if called on). For that reason I would not recommend them for three pin fan connections (they will work but running flat out all the time). No complaints here , great price and they work fine

I bought this for my 6 year old Coolermaster Wave PC case, which is currently fitted out with a Pentium quad core but has been getting quite loud lately. Cleaned all of my fans out with my vacuum's brush attachment (inc graphics card and CPU) and used this to replace one at the rear with a noisy bearing. Given that its one of five other fans that weren't replaced, I can't be specific about its noise levels / cooling ability. However I can say that it fitted, came with the smaller three pin connector so I could plug it directly into my motherboard, and my PC is now overall much quieter and cooler. The one thing of use here is it comes with the smaller three pin connector so it can plug directly into your motherboard instead of plugging to the power supply like some, which means your system can adjust its speed as required.I can't think why they felt this little nugget wasn't important enough for their product description.Oh and buy it fom Amazon themselves because I tried several of the other sellers and they ALL TRIED TO OVERCHARGE ME FOR THE STATED POSTAGE.

I have to say that this is an excellent fan. It's quiet & pushes a lot of air through. It's also good looking & comes fitted with rubber mounts between the fan cage & the main casing.Although it moves my exhaust air in a very impressive way, I have not found a way to turn it into an input fan. I bought 2 of these because they sounded so good, thinking that I could use 1 for the exhaust air & the other either on the side of my case, or at the front to cool the bank of hard drives I have fitted. After playing with it, looking for reviews & options on various sites, Nowhere does anyone say that the fan can be reversed to draw air into the system, due to the fan blades being mounted on the cage (as opposed to the main body). If I had known, I would only have bought 1 of these. If anyone can correct me on this point & maybe show me how it can be used to input cold air, I could use the 1 which now sits in my 'spares' box in the wardrobe.I have given 5 stars because, despite the above problem, it is still an excellent EXHAUST fan.

Bought 3 of these to replace stock fans in a server case, they seem to be very efficient by comparison and much quieter. The fan is suspended in place using rubber mounts on 4 posts in the corner of each unit. One was loose which caused the fan to vibrate and stop but once hooked back in place it has operated fine since.Be aware that these fans are taller than many stock fan sizes, I had to modify my hard drive caddies to shift them forward about 10mm. This is a problem specific to my computer chassis but worth bearing in mind if you are using a small case where space is at a premium. They are set so that air flows out of the mounted side and is sucked in from the suspended size. This cannot be reversed so is critical when considering air flow. In most cases this means the fans will be blowing air out of the case, and not sucking air in.I recommend these highly, and for the price it simply cannot be beaten. I paid under £3 each when added to another order and significantly quieter and higher air flow than stock units.

I needed a small lightweight fan for my computer case that I could fit on an arm so I could place it over components on the motherboard that were too hot.The Arctic F8 80mm fan really fulfilled its function. I connected the fan to a fan controller so I could control the spin rate but even at its highest RPM the noise is very minimal and barely noticeable in my case (Fractal Define R4). Fitting was a breeze and the airflow rate is fantastic even at low RPM. The price point is great too for a small fan and would recommend this to anyone needing a smaller fan in their case. The fan has a square sealed frame with a 3 pin fan cable approximately 30cm. I do have a minor issue with the fan and it's the bare fan cable,no sleeving at all to hide the red, yellow and black wires from the fan. This makes cable management difficult as they are difficult to hide. Overall a good fan.PROSSmall, good airflow, quiet and cheapCONSNo sleeving on the fan cable

The bearing on my case fan went months ago and I've been computing in a noisy, case rattling hell ever since. I decided that jamming a sock between the fan cage and the PC case wasn't going to cut it anymore and bought this fan. My previous fan had the wires running on the inside, whereas this one has the wires on top of its cage, which isn't clearly shown on the image. This meant that I had to create a hole in my PC case to accommodate the wire and connector so that it could reach my board. Couldn't really re-route it because the wire is only about 20-25cm long. Also this has the small 3-pin connector socket that plugs straight to the motherboard whereas my old fan had the older style chunky bayonet connections that plug into the PSU wiring. This is much easier to connect/disconnect.This thing is pretty much silent and I wish I just bit the bullet and changed the fan ages ago because this is so nice.

I bought this fan to replace the noisy front fan on my PC. The cable supplied is designed so that you can either plug it in to a 4-pin chassis fan connector, or plug it in to a 4-pin CPU fan connector, plug the CPU fan into the socket supplied, and optionally plug the tacho line from this fan into a 3-pin chassis fan connector. So you can use this fan if the only 4-pin fan connector on the motherboard is for the CPU fan, and it will then speed up and slow down with the CPU fan. This was exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, the length of the cable is rather short, far too short to reach from the front of my chassis to the CPU fan connector. So I had to cut the cable and extend it in order to use this fan (the alternative would have been to use a PWM fan splitter cable and a PWM fan extension cable). Hence only 4 stars (would have been 5 had the cable been longer).

Pros:1. Quiet as a whisper. (but much quieter)2. Ideal as a back-plate or side-panel fan, should your CPU heatsink not cater it, such as with me!3. Fan guard is on via rubber thingies!4. Includes a temperature thingy, although it's kinda redundant for a CPU, but good if it's for the case.5. Extremely prompt delivery.Cons:...I'm thinking, but can't think of anything! I'll let you know if anything goes wrong, although judging by the quality, I can't see that ever happening! ;)Sehr gute Produkt, aus Deutschland! =] (Jetzt Ein Jahr und noch funktioniert unglaublich ruhig.)UPDATE: Almost one year I've had and used this thing (extensively) and still works as well as if it were new, I believe. It's still incredibly quiet (I forget it's even there - I had to just check to make sure it WAS there, and it was :P)

F8 PRO PWM PST 80mm:These fans are cheap but the design - the cage holding the fan off the fan base - needs care, i.e. don't go holding it by the cage when installing it - also make sure all the attached wires are clear of the fan before switching on.With no problems they work extremely very well! One point however, if you buy two of these with the intention of fitting side by side on the case, note that cage overhangs the base - this can cause enough deformation of the fan position to result in extreme clipping noise. discovered this the hard way, so only one fan operation atm. They are uni-directional, i.e. push air out of the case, and I most definitely WON'T fit one to the outside a case - I value my fingers more that a £4 fan.

Like others, I bought these to replace the stock 80mm fans in my server case. I bought a cheap Logic Case which used molex fans, while the 120mm are fine, the 80mm option made an unbearable noise. My server is located in a separate room, so didn’t need anything super silent. The F8 PWM fit the bill perfectly, easy to swap over and a dramatic different in noise levels immediately. I have not even bothered to set up the PWM fan profiles in the BIOS as it works perfectly for my use out of the box.Temperatures have remained good, I don’t monitor case temperatures but my CPU rarely goes past 50-degrees using a stock AMD wraith cooler, while my hard drives are all sitting at 30-degrees or under
