The pros and cons of this game are the following:-The single player:-[+] engaging and challeging gameplay[+] great control customerisation[+] smooth and good satifying gameplay[+] some guns handle very well[+] ASE is good idea[+] good graphics[+] enemies can heal themselves[+] extras to find[-] little inspiration to be had[-] puzzles get samey[-] cursor ememy hightlight[-] not enough weaponsGameplay:-These types of games will always be compared to perfect dark and that is some big shoes to fill and it isn't but it has done well considering that initially i thought the cursor enemy highlight would ruin the gameplay as it would take away the accuracy skill factor as it's an aim assist but itdoesn't make any difference at all when you are pulling off flick or swing shots as you dont get time to use the highlight and initially either isn't there at all or appears too vague any way and you still get great player satisfaction out of it. The only down side is that simple point and shooting gameplay the highlight does interfere a little but its still fun. The game play is well balanced and has a good variety to it to appeal to everyone and their style of play. all the guns handle well and smooth that feel good and give a little sense of a professional image. The best weapons are as follows:-the human, trust and drudge handguns 9/10the shotgun, scar scoped rifle and the strike rifle 8/10the sub machine gun and the detominiser 7/10everything else only average 6/10there are 18 weapons in allthe multiplayer is where the real fun is to be had as it features a huge variety of game mode types such as basic death match, team death match and team objective with each catergory comes many game senarios in each such as three stirkes, last man standing, bounty hunter, and capture the ASE and many more. The game also features model customisation and availbility to choose a character which makes a difference to how you feel and experience the game. For instance a drudge or alein model will seem more bulky and slugish and not smooth where as a human or trust model will seem more light, manouverable and profesional. When you are online one minor percliverty to the game is that you often encounter problems with online re-occurances such as the screen freezing and your weapon spinning on it's own accord without being able to move. As a result you have to wait a long time for the next match. Also sometimes you often have to wait to long to get a game going and dont always get the preferable weapons you want to play with.8/10

THE CONDUIT was a well hyped game , and in my oppinion it has lived up to it .With gorgeous graphics ,excellent gameplay , loads of enemies and alot of multiplayer games ,THE CONDUIT will keep you blasting merrily away for a good few months to come. The enviroments all look great , the weapons look fantast and fire-power wise they are all awesome .The scoped weapons are the best I've used in any game , its very smooth and easy to get in and out of scope mode without losing to much life ,and un-like most games where its only in a few boards that you get to use the scoped weapons , in this game you get to use your scoped weapons alot for short range & long range.Theres also plenty of differenttypes of grenades to un-leash on the enemy and there is plenty of enemies on each level to un-leash them on.Gameplay wise its amazing , with THE CONDUIT the Wii-mote now has fully customisable controls and you can change the button lay-out to nearly anything you want to , you can also change your deadzone , speed you turn at , speed you move at plus more , so now theres no more ' its the damn controlers fault' excuse.... hahaha :)Multiplayer sometimes takes ages to load ,and for some reason just now I cant seem to join in on team battles ,but I am sure thats just a glitch that will be sorted out . The free for all / slayer games are fun and fast paced and easy to play , BUT BE WARNED enemies seem to take alot of hits before biting the dust , sometimes 2 mags + a grenade OUCH ! .Lets face it online its never in the same league as Halo , but then not many games areTHE CONDUIT seems to be being hailed by some people as the ONLY DECENT FPS on Wii ,I beg to differ its ANOTHER EXCELLENT FPS on Wii. Developer Retro games METROID PRIME 3 CORRUPTION was another superb exclusive FPS title on Wii, and in oppinion MP3s campaign / solo game was better than HALO 3s.With MP3 and now THE CONDUIT standing head and shoulders above most other FPS out there on any console , things are looking up.So slowly but surely theres some real quality shooters starting to emerge on Wii, and I for one 'am loving it' , lets hope the trend continuesA message for all NINTENDO FPS fans ,look out for the soon to be released ' METROID PRIME TRILOGY ' boxet , you will now be able to re-play METROID PRIME 1&2 by using the WII-MOTE to control SAMUS , so now theres no REAL REASON to keep that old GAMECUBE contoler hahaha ( only jokin )THE CONDUIT = A MUST HAVE GAME FOR ALL FPS FANS ...... JUST BUY IT .....YOU WONT REGRET IT

I am a game player and do not have any connection with any game or software company, and that includes any association with the people who made The Conduit for the Wii.I have been following the progress of The Conduit for the Wii for ages. After playing it, I have to honestly say, this most I have enjoyed a game on any console for a long time. Yes, I said it, "on any console". I have had an Xbox360 (too noisy), I have a PS3 (great solid quiet machine) and I also own a Wii. Xbox 360 and PS3 have great graphics, that goes without saying, but that does not make a game, you also need fun and feel like you really are in the game especially for a FSP shooter. The conduit on the Wii looks a lot like Half-Life 2,the graphics are solid and the story draws you into the game. However The Conduit has no loading times during the levels, it loads as you play, unlike Half-life (which is the downfall of Half-life). I played Metroid Prime on the Wii, and the controls where spot on. The Conduit uses the same control mechanisim as Metriod Prime(Wii), and also lets you change every button. This is a game which you can play and get into. The graphics are spot on, the story is good and draws you in, the sound is great. It has all the things its bigger brothers on the XBOX 360 / PS3 FPS games have with regards to graphics. The only difference is that with the XBOX360 an PS3 games you can shoot everything and anything and see an effect. Some might say this is cool, great, but is it? With The Conduit the graphic involvement is just right to allow you to believe in the story and game. Couple this with the way that you aim and move using the Wiimote and Nuchuke and it feels like this is the way FPS games should be played. Why are Microsoft and Sony developing motion type controllers of their own? Hmmmm, because this works and they know it.Good for you High Voltage. The best £32 I have spent on a Wii game. Come to think of it, it comes very close to the best £32 I have spent on any other game on any other format.Marks overall: 95%

fun, asthetically pleasing, overall good first person shooter [fps].good:. top notch visuals [in single and multiplayer]. the single player is not like call of duty world at war on wii, with giant epic battles, they are with more narrower corridors and some much wider areas. It is similar to golden eye [N64, which is also a very good thing..the enemy A.I is challenging and well done..the best controls on wii [perfect]the most customisable game ever [control sensitivity, motion gestures, re-mapping buttons, changing HUD ETC]. great variety of weapons [human, alien and trust hybrid], which also take control of wiiremotes movment sensitivity..the best online multiplayer on wii...period.[13 game types,8 maps, 12 players online].the online mutiplayer is very similar to halo style, which is an amazing thing and very customisable.. use of wii speak online...finally!. loads of concept art and cheats to ublock in single player..it comes with pronotional free concept art booklet and other additional features for offline and online play.. good adapting music, which adapts to different situations.. celebrtiy voice acting, which is well done.. reli good game interface.. storey line is ok, not amazing though.bad:. the throwing of grenades is a bit dodgy at times.. the online mode starts up in like 35-45 seconds. which is not long, but meoh2 and cod5 on wii strat up in less than 15 seconds.. no offline multiplayer like in red steel 2.. very few bosses in single player.. no offline or online cooperative mode. no vehicles in game or online.. ASE is more of a tag insingle player. only face like 8-9 ifferent enemies..therefore repetetive enemy types.. no real amazing set pieces in single player, which cod5 on wii does very well.. you can't play your own music when playing online.overall there probably is a geat game and a must buy for wii owners.

Having now played through the first few levels of The Conduit I'm happy to support others' view that it's a solid, enjoyable first-person-shooter (and also agree about the cliched storyline!).However, there are 2 points which mark the game down slightly in my opinion1. the control system uses all of the buttons across both controllers and thus doesn't really work with a gun accessory (I was using a Nyko Wii Perfect Shot), which is a shame as using one blasting away at the screen is great fun, particularly when you get rushed by hordes of enemy2. when the action does get a bit frantic you can suddenly find yourself staring at the ceiling if you try and move the cursor too fast as the programmers, quite sensibly, stop all movement when the pointer goes off screen. As anyone who plays FPS games knows sometimes indiscrimate spraying of bullets in the general area is the difference between finishing the level and ending up back at the last save point, but that's not an option here, you need to be smooth and calm all the time.Overall 4/5 and would recommend it if you're in the market for this type of game on the Wii.

Following a slightly clichéd story, the Conduit has you tackling wave after wave of aliens and bad guys in suits in an ultimately fun and attractive adventure. The graphics and controls are what set this game above other attempts at bringing a good FPS to the Wii - you can tell they've spent considerable time and effort tweaking everything to work well, and it shows. The single-player is easily capable of keeping you occupied for many hours, but it's the many multiplayer modes that the game's huge replay value really come from. The online action is relentless, lagfree and very addictive - you have been warned! All in all, just what the Wii needs, and here's to a follow up!

ok,so this reveiw is WAYYYY overdue like about 3 years xD. but anyway this game goes cheap now a days for about 7 pound which is a good price. when it came out, i LOVED THIS FRIGGIN game. it was so good addictive gameplay on online. only ever came into a few hackers online. but the campaign was... Astonoshing. it was probbaly thr best thing i have played on wii and i would have reccomended it to anybody back then. but now you will not be happy with its online capabilities as they are not up to standards. have fun xD

Excellent shooter this one, take out the bad guys, the ugly alien looking guys etc, use your ase (all seeing eye) to help you through doors and help save the president. All in a days work, great fun blasting the heck out of the aliens, i fear nobody when i have my strike rifle :). Loads of levels, loads of fun , although it is quite tricky,i would advise putting it on easy to get most fun out of the game. Its more fun to do the nailing as opposed to being nailed.

A great game - visually suburb with engaging game play. The levels are hard, but not so hard you get bored.. you want to try it again and again until you complete it. Not into online gaming so can't comment on that.My only issue is that I LOVE Washington DC and this game advertises it takes place there.. but really you don't see it much :-(

12.11.2009

This game is by far one of the best 3rd party titles on wii, and definately the best shooter - the single player is brilliant and the multiplayer is addictive. buy this game!

1.5 hours playing in... This is more like it. Great fun 1st person shoot-em-up. Very similar to half-life (which is no bad thing) and suits the wii platform really well.

16.1.2010

i enjoyed this game quite difficult in places pretty big and really good weapons if you like halo and games of that type this is for you

26.4.2010

Not the greatest I've played, but for the Wii and the price you can't fault it. Just get stuck in and enjoy it for what it is.
