These are so simple to use and really easy to clean. Apparently you should change These monthly, that is absolute rubbish, they can last much longer. It will be obvious when to replace the filter media. I didn't realise at first that the centre is carbon so bear this in mind regarding any treatments that you have in your tank as this would stop them working properly. I have bought a sheet of foam media as used in pond filters and am going to cut It to size for a seriously cheaper alternative. Previously I have removed the used carbon and filled the gap with a small piece of spare media to increase the good bacteria. The cartridge is very easy to remove and replace.

Must say I really like these filters they do what they're supposed to do..........they are not that expensive and in my opinion do a great job better than the too named internal filters definitely the cartridge is esay click on and off you can wash out the media a few times before replacing them don't need to renew it every month as stated......these filters are good definitely I would recommend them yes

I use this filter all the time get a good few months use then find the sponge gets tired and gets sucked up as shrinks so then replace, so easy just click in place and your good to go, recommend 2 of these so one keeps the bacteria if yo have a larger tank run one each side.

I've used these cartridges for quite some time now. I have used them in a 64L and 100L aquariums.I've noticed that you can also buy Crystal Clear cartridges, but in all fareness these work a treat, and my water is crystal clear with these normal cartridges.

Very good this filter never had any problems and first change from the older one. Just put it in some of the water I took out and put it back in all fish doing ok and the water lovely and clear again.

I took the cartridge out of the box and put it in the filter and it worked perfectly.I always leave the old cartridge in the fish tank for a day so the bacteria can get into the new cartridge.

These filters are really good and keep the water in the tank very clean. As long as you stick to the guidelines and wash weekly and then change every month you can't go wrong.

Top notch flter for the money. Does a great job of keeping tank clear but does need regular washing - commit to that and it will last 3X as long as the recommended 1 month.

Picture looks a bit weird as I wonder if it is smaller than what I am using now. But it came quickly and it is just the same with my originally one. Very happy.

Arrived promptly. My filter sponge was ready for renewal and the difference was immediately noticeable. Very happy 18 year old goldfish.

Nothing to say on this as it is a replacement filter for our aquarium and this is the one we have to buy, no choice in the matter.

This is a very good filter replacement and keeps my fishtank filtered and clean.I'd recommend it and it always arrives promptly

Filters aquarium water out well, lasts a few weeks to a month before needing replacement, fish are healthy and doing well
