A high quality hex socket bit that can access and undo those heavily recessed and hard to reach bolts which cannot be undone with a standard length socket bit. With a Stahlwille hex socket bit you can be confident that the hex bit will grip the bolt/fastener firmly and is not going to round out the hex socket it has been inserted into (which can happen with inferior bits).I last used this Stahlwille socket to remove the recessed 6mm Allen head bolts located at the bottom of some motorcycle fork sliders, the bolts were very hard to reach and even harder to undo (the bolts had been in situ for nearly twenty years) and improvising with an Allen key was out of the question - a long hex socket in combination with a breaker bar was required to complete the job.

What can I say about this bit other than it does the job. Not a very exciting purchase as it's purely practical and nothing more. I bought the 6mm bit when in fact it is a 5mm bit that I need for a particular job. There are many other tasks I can use this one for anyway so it doesn't matter much.Since the quality is very good and it arrived promptly I will buy a 5mm bit at some point.I have to give it 5* as it works everytime.

Strong as can be. Use this 36mm well above the 500Nm regularly (old engineering, big nuts and lots of torque), and either undoing or doing up these fixings it just doesn’t give up. Not lost a nut to rounding, and not lost this socket to splitting (which happened with another cheaper “heavy duty” socket). All my 3/4” drive kit is Stahlwille now, and it’s worth the money.Even used the 19mm for tight stuff.

With a Stahlwille hex socket bit you can be confident that the hex bit will grip the bolt/fastener firmly and is not going to round out the hex socket it has been inserted into (which can happen with inferior bits).I recommend stahwille hex socket bits.

Very well made....definitely worth the money. If all other tools manufactured by Stahlwille are this good, I will purchase them...as they'll outlast me no problem.

You cannot best Stahwille for 3/4 drive sockets and ratchets, period. Light! But don’t kid yourself these are not weak! The alloy they use is spot on.
