The first thing that struck me with this keyboard is how small it seems and feels... it shouldn't as it's still got full-size keys, it's just that without all the surround of a standard keyboard and the lack of numeric keypad, it hardly takes up any room on the desk. Great for small spaces, giving more mouse maneuvering room. It's going to take a bit of getting used to the mechanic keys as they feel very light and they don't have that tactile resistance which I'm used to with your average cheap keyboard.I really liked the idea of having the illuminated keyboard to make it easier for gaming with the lights off or down so as to really get the atmosphere in the games, but due to the nature of the mechanical keys it is a little noisy for late night gaming sessions when the rest of the family is asleep. It's a bit like using an original IBM PC keyboard again from way too many years ago..That said, it's not much louder than my old Logitech and Kingston keyboards when I'm gentle with the keys so it's probably just a case of getting used to the difference in pressure and smooth progression rather than the tactile click of old..The programming ability is brilliant on this model but you need the software to take advantage of most of the features and you need to download it yourself, it's not in the box, getting all too common nowadays. With the software you re-define any of the keys using a graphic map of the keyboard, selecting the key and what you want it to be. However the backslash key was not configurable, which I think is likely to be a bug in the software maybe not selecting the full UK keyboard properly by the German company, as the Ctrl keys are labeled as Strg instead being the German layout standard for the Ctrl key, as well as a few other keys in German too.You can create key sequence macros and assign them to the six macro keys, M1 - M6 which, when in gaming mode, pressed once plays the macro, and pressed with Fn keeps playing the macro until you press the key again to stop it when it's finished. This however does mean that you lose the standard function of these keys, and also the macros seem to be limited to 40 up+down actions, meaning 20 single keys. You can create keyboard configuration profiles that are mapped to game executable and so will be automatically loaded when you run that specific game, which is a great feature rather than having to run the app and load them in each time you swap games. You easily swap between normal usage and gaming mode profiles with the function Fn Print Screen key combination and same back again as well as other function keys that are added to the standard keyboard layout such as volume and media players which are a nice extra for when you are not in a gaming session. You do need to have the tilt feet up as there are rubber feet at the back of the keyboard to stop it sliding around when the feet are down.Speedlink do other full-size keyboards with numeric pads and I think I would prefer that for most gaming as I still like to use the number pad key-set for some games, but I don't think it's right to drop any points from this keyboard for not having it as you obviously wouldn't buy this one if that's what you needed.A really nice keyboard that's very sturdy and very responsive.

For just north of £10, there isn't a lot to criticise here. It's more or less what you would expect of an inexpensive keyboard. Unless you expect it to fall to bits, which mine at least isn't showing any signs of doing at present.Full size gaming keyboard? Perhaps. With a couple of exceptions, I usually find keyboards notionally dedicated to a specific function are a gimmick, and this hasn't changed my mind. A handful of red keys that can be swapped in? OK, they lend an air of purpose to the proceedings, and perhaps a small psychological edge if you're into gaming. From the particular selection of keys that you can replace with red ones, this is evidently pitched toward 1st person shooters.I had my fix of those with Doom and Doom II when I was a teenager back in the 1990s and I haven't played regularly since then. I don't recall looking down at the keyboard regularly though, since there was rarely time assuming you wished to get on with the serious business of eviscerating a zombie with a rusty pen-knife, so I'm not convinced different coloured keys will be of much benefit. Still, it doesn't do any harm, so why not? And the games around now are somewhat more complex, for better or worse, so it may be of use. That apart, it's OK. It's not really that much of a dedicated gaming keyboard other than the keys. Some other reviewers have picked up on the fact that the keys themselves don't have an especially positive feel, which is fair comment based on my use. But they have reasonable travel and are fairly solid, so all OK there. The lead could be a little longer, but that's a minor quibble. The folding legs for angling it are a bit on the flimsy side, but should be fine providing you don't hammer the keyboard like a woodpecker. As far as size goes, it's moderate -there are larger ones, but it's not excessively compact. The plastics and general build quality seem excellent for the money, it was instantly recognised in my Win10 64 system, and has performed flawlessly. For this sort of price? Recommended. It won't replace your high-end Microsoft (or whatever) type, but it's not supposed to either, and providing you're not expecting miracles, it does a decent enough job. Fair play to them.

OK - firstly - what's with the name ACCUSOR? If you're doing anything shameful on your computer you don't want the word ACCUSOR lit up like a Christmas tree staring at you. I must point out I'm not doing anything shameful, but it only took a few hours before I hunted down my roll of black electrical tape and stuck a neat strip of it over the ACCUSOR logo. Subject to the backlight settings, the logo which is right in front of you is quite bright and I found it intrusive.Everything else I'm fine with. This is a nicely built keyboard. The key travel is not particularly noisy and generally the buttons are where you would expect them to be, although I'm still learning that the media controls are at top right, and not dead centre like on my old Microsoft keyboard. At top left are three buttons, P1, P2 and P3 which are three distinct setups that you can save in the software that you download from the Speedlink website. I subsequently uninstalled this because it seemed unnecessary, but it doesn't seem harmful. The main novelty about the ACCUSOR is the backlit LED display. Adjustments are achieved by holding down the Fn key and then pressing a bunch of keys starting at the F9 key (dim static light) through F11 (bright static light). Then you have F12 which gives what I think is an irritating "breathing" effect that pulses the back light. When you hold Fn and press the Pause button this lets you cycle through blue, red and pink backlighting. Personally I find it really helpful to be able to work in a dark room and still be able to see which keys I'm pressing on my keyboard. The USB cable that connects the keyboard to your PC is covered in an attractively braided black and red fabric.I'm still learning that the six assignable keys on the left of the keyboard labelled M1 to M6 are where my hand would naturally rest and try to press the Ctrl key. This means I keep messing up my Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V etc. But I think I'll eventually adapt. If this were the only model of keyboard I use it would be much easier to learn where the keys are, but unfortunately I spend half my time typing a keyboard attached to my laptop and I don't feel like buying a second ACCUSOR so both keyboards match.

Well there are pluses and minus to reviewing a Vine product. The good is that you get to try some stuff out and give an opinion. The bad being that no matter how hard you try, you will get mainly negative reviews compared to your own purchases which can be a bit wearing.Still here goes.Having had this a while to play with one thing strikes me immediately. It feels a bit 'old school.' And by that I mean that as a bloke of a 'certain age,' I grew up through the start of home computers, gaming machines and PC's and the old quite heavily built mechanical keyboards. They felt solid and heavy enough to do some serious damage if you were lamped by an irritated mate you had just beaten again. And this keyboard has that same robust mechanical feel with positive keys and a solid sound as each is pressed. If you use it for typing it sounds like you are back in the 80's.But all that solidity gives this great feel. Bit like an old Gibson SG you know you have hit the sweet spot. It is of course ideal for gaming as you get that great sense of touch and feedback when you use it. I also like it for typing on and it is connected to my PC as well as my standard Logitech keyboard and I've found myself using this quite a bit for general use. It just feels nice to use.If weight is anything to go by then this is well made. Heavy and robust with an admittedly lurid metallic red aluminium face plate and large ABS keys. I don't think it will fail anytime soon.As a gaming device you can set up your keys with macros and configurations as desired as well as polling rate and key response time. If I was to be absolutely honest I'm about twenty years too old for these settings to make much difference to my ability to be beaten by my son. I do like the highly illuminated and seriously bad taste backlit keys. Just great bling and I can't help but like it.Size is about 4/5ths of my normal keyboard done my cutting out the numeric keys on the right hand side. Which I never use anyway as I don't work in a bank and always have had the habit of using the linear keys along the top which this board has.Overall a great, well built keyboard that is a bit 'steampunk,' and therefore cool too.

I had been searching for what seemed like an eternity for replacement keyboard to my last one, that had key letters worn off, the criteria was easy, I needed a backlit, one I could see, my PC area is dark, I work with graphics, and artwork, I run 3 machines, a main tower that I built a few years back, a laptop and this old basher that I am typing on now, the temp machine I am typing on now runs a stripped down Win XP Pro, and this keyboard works fine. The net is a bottomless pit of keyboards with lights, but many, way more expensive ones - have - issues, and apart from a decent back light I needed UK layout and something that is going to last, without costing a fortune. So after much searching, reading reviews and a massive headache, I went for the Speedlink (sounds like a courier firm) and so far I am happy, the device is well made, for the price, and the lights and options are very cool. Its got high keys as it not low profile as I am used to, but soon got used to that, as the keys are very responsive and you can adjust the response, its not small, but overtly massive like my mates Saitek, but you still need desk space, all the lighting can be faffed with to suit, dim, bright, colours etc, I do not 'game' so the gamer lot will no doubt need to read reviews based on its gaming functions, but for me - its great value, the keys are reasonable in the noise level when typing, the accuracy is a main point here, and a light touch is all thats needed.I need to get my bum in gear to rebuild the lain rig as that is what its going to used on primarily - but for now this is running perfect on vintage XP, no software install needed, a plus side is that it powers down the lights if no activity after about 15 mins, I like that.Lights are bright but not distractingly so, three settings off, dim, bright, and the colour options, I can see the keys fine, which is what I wanted. The border of the keyboard which incorporates the wrist rest, is a kind of a suede feel effect, nice touch.Amazon service was good, fast post, packaging was secure and overall I will give it full marks, in constant use since I bought it.So far so good.

This is my first ever gaming keyboard and so far am over the moon with my purchase. It has a nice build quality and the plastic is very smooth and comfortable on the wrist rest. The lighting is decent, although the space bar isn't entirely lit up which looks a little ugly but that's a tiny detail. It has a function that deactivates the windows key (handy for when you hit it in a frantic fire fight) and the macro keys are easy to program. There are several profiles which means you can have more than 5 macros at a time. You can program them while in games or use the driver software to do it.Recording macros using the software gives you access to a few other functions you don't have during 'on the fly'recording. You can record them and keep them in a list to keep and use later, enabling you to flip between them without having to record them again. This is where the only real criticism comes in. I've had a hell of a time trying to delete macros I no longer want from the list. You could end up therefore with a whole list of them you don't want. Make sure in general that you really want to program certain macros in case this happens to you.The price, compared to the features and build quality make this a good purchase. I would recommend this gaming keyboard for those looking to get one on a budget, who only want the essential features. The small flaws are not worth knocking a star off imo. Its not massive like other gaming keyboards and if you're not used to typing on them, this one is easy to get used to.I'll come back after a couple of months wear and tear to show how well its held up.Edit: I've had this keyboard for a while now and I'm as happy with it as the day of purchase.

I have been looking for a quality keyboard for some time, with a more mechanical feel to it. I didnt get this keyboard specifcally for gaming purpsoses, I also bought it as general typing keyboard, as I dont much like the spongy feel of many keyboards available on the market. The feel of the keys is excellent and aids a more accurate and speedier and less tedious typing experience I havent expereinced for some time.First thing is first aesthetics its a quality looking keyboard decked in a red finish with black keys, and blue LED backlit characters, in addition WASD keys (common default direction keys in many games) are picked out in a white LED backlit font for more clarity and ease of use.The build quality of the keyboard feels good and you can certainly see its money well spent. The styling is compact, with a frameless aluminum body allowing a small footprint, the compactness is at the cost of a numeric keypad. The cable provided is 1.7 meter length, more than enough for most people. On to the gaming use, admitedley my gaming use has been limited, however I have had some gaming use on this and is my favourite gaming keyboard at the moment by far, and think for may years to come.Overall a quality compact keyboard equally suitable for gaming and everyday typing needs, the build quality is excellent, the only thing that would have made this keyboard even better is a numeric keypad.Positives+ Great build quality+ Excellent key feel+ compact footprint+ Illumiated keys+ 1.7m length cable+ Software configurable key functionsNegatives- No Numeric keypad

Look, let's be clear that this is a £10 +/- keyboard with free delivery. It's not a high end keyboard by any means, but what it is it does well. It's a cheap, plastic, simple approach to improved gaming. It's plug and play so zero issues getting it up and running. If you have a USB port then slot in the cable and you're away immediately. You can't go wrong here. The keys are a bit click-clack but perfectly usable. I've sat at many worse keyboards in my life. I'd say this is standard office quality. It has a go at looking all butch and industrial but it doesn't really carry it off. The box is also to a budget and the instructions ... well, you don't need more than a simple picture and that's all you get. So,why 4****? Well simply put it does what it should which is help you play games just a little bit better. You get a flimsy plastic tool which slips down the side of a key you want to remove. You give a slight pull and out it comes. It's like being at the dentist! You then replace it with a red gaming key. You can replace eight in total including the pretty standard up, down, left, right key pad ones. It's just easier to locate the different coloured keys when in the thrill of action rather than all keys looking the same.Yes, it's cheap and plastick but it is OK for the money and does the job fine. It's hard to be too critical in my opinion.

What a great feeling keyboard, but it’s small and for me it loses a star for not having the number panel. I know it is not always required for gaming, but some games do need it.Its response time on the keys is phenomenal with the keys feeling like they are attached to your fingers! It is such a pleasure to type with, and I feel like I can easily get an extra 10 words per minute out of it!I’ve not used it for gaming yet, but I’ve used it for typing. It’s so much better than any laptop keyboard and it fits snuggly on the top of my laptop keyboard and the angle is perfect. It’s colour is a kind of pinkish red, but I’ll stick to calling it red and is a close match to many metallic red laptops.I think that might be a reason for its size, it’s a laptop replacement keyboard that you can sit on top of your current laptop keyboard and yes, you can play games with it and yes it’s brilliant, feeling comfortable and responsive. If it wasn’t for the missing number pad I’d give it 5 stars, but then it wouldn’t fit on top of my laptop’s keyboard. URGH I’m so torn on this, I want to give it 5 stars, but I can’t as I need it for a few of the games I play. It’s as perfect as a keyboard can be, except for missing just 18 keys... oh and my wife saying it sounds a bit loud and noisy when I am typing away and the keys are clacking!

My first impression of the Speedlink Ultor shows it to be a robust and surprisingly good looking keyboard. The Speedlink Ultor is a ten keyless size and therefore lacks a numpad, however other manufacturers have well thought out designs which can include this feature (see Coolermaster Quickfire TK).Features such as macro keys, anti-ghosting and windows key deactivation are very useful to those who intend to use this for gaming, and work well. The red switches are in my opinion superior for gaming purposes than blue or green, as the lack of ‘clickiness’ makes for a better feeling and much more silent and gaming experience. For other typing purposes this keyboard still works superbly and it is easy to feel the quality of the keycaps and switches.Coming from someone who is a long term user of a mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches I can say that I was pleasantly surprised at the tactile feel of the Kaihua Kalih reds and would definitely recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for a well-built mechanical keyboard – gamer or otherwise.Pros- Aluminium chassis- Compact size- Firm keycaps (no play or wobble)- Macro buttons- Adjustable illumination on keysCons- Rubber feet are not very grippy- Cable is hard-wired- No numpad

I received a Speedlink Ultor keyboard as a loan on the condition I reviewed it.Generally I like the keyboard. I don't need or like too many frills or ostentatious aesthetics, and this keyboard doesn't have either of those. It feels nice and premium with a nicely weighted red, metal base and solid mechanical switches, and there's a subtle backlight on the keys. It works well on a minimalistic setup. The switches themselves are good but not ideal for me. I mainly prefer Cherry MX Brown switches as I switch between typing and gaming regularly (as a professional QA tester, I work at a video games company based in London), but the Red Kaihua Kailh switches hold up pretty well compared MX red keys.I found using the keyboard for extensive typing sessions a bit fatiguing, but had no problems playing games. It's nice and quiet, so I'm sure my collegues enjoyed the break from the endless clacking of my previous keyboard. If silent operating is what you're after this is a good choice! All in all this is a good keyboard, and it you're planning to mainly play games rather than do a lot of typing I'd have no problem recommending it, but I am personally now back to using my original Filco keyboard with MX Brown switches.

Unpacking the keyboard I was surprised just had nice the keyboard is, it looks very well made, remembering the price.Build is good, its not up to the standard of a mechanical keyboard, which costs nearly 10 x the price, so perhaps unfair to compare. Is it a gaming keyboard, rather than being a gaming keyboard, its an okay keyboard with a few gaming features, which are okay, again the price is superb. You can change the WASD/Arrows keys from black to red, which is easy with the tool provided, It does look good with the red keys, but that’s it, keyboard doesn’t light up, no preset extra functions for gaming. The USB is study and the cable is good quality, no driver required worked straight away. The keyboard is that,a keyboard, one that functions very well, if you’re after a basic keyboard, which looks a bit like a gaming one, then this is for you, If your after a full blown gaming keyboard then sadly this will leave you fill let down, you’ll have to dig deeper to get a proper one.Its a good keyboard, not what I’d describe as a gamers keyboard, but would make a young one smile If he was only playing minecraft with it.4 stars as I like it and its very cheap

WOW! comes to mind immediately on opening the package. This weighty beautifully made keyboard is impressive looking and it doesn't stop there. The feel is superb, My wife who has taken the trouble to learn to touch type and is far more competent and very much faster than I thinks its a joy.For gaming it is superb allowing combinations of keys to be pressed all at once. If you don't know what polling, anti-ghosting or N key rollover is about, you probably don't need to know, and I won't bore the pants off you explaining it here, there are a myriad of places to look for definitions of these terms if you so wish. Suffice to say gamers will love this,The build quality is excellent the positive mechanical key clicks are wonderful the feel is brilliant. There are SIX programmable profiles and the keys are bathed in a blue light, not too much so as to dazzle but enough with the very relevant WASD keys lighting up in a contrasting white. The mechanical keys are amazing and I just can't praise this board enough and it looks fantastic on a black gaming mat!JC

This keyboard is great. Its well built and I like its size. It lacks the number pad so makes it ideal if you have limited desk space. Once you have installed the drivers you can get control of how sensitive you want the keys and can disable keys such as the Windows key when you are gaming. The instructions are good and its easy to configure after following them You can turn the brightness of the keyboard down by using the installed Ultor speedlink software. You can create profiles and use Macros.I must admit the keyboard is quite loud but I am used to this from mechanical keyboards and I i like the feel when i am typing. The keys are quite raised and I have not experienced any issues typing.Iam using the keyboard in Windows 10 with Anniversary Update and not experienced any driver or installation issues.Gaming wise its has performed well. It should last a lot of use.Its expensive as keyboards go and it may not suit all peoples tastes but I think gamers will get a lot of use and value out of it.

This is a good gaming keyboard - middle of the range in terms of price and quality, but good value all the same. The customisation settings are adequate - a choice of three colours (a larger selection would be nice) and brightness, all of which can be adjusted from the keyboard. The downside to this is that you can accidentally switch them off altogether with a keystroke without actually intending to.The refresh rate is high and the build quality is great for the price - the keyboard looks and feels good and the cable is braided rather than a standard plastic finish. If you are moving from a standard keyboard for the first time, this will take a bit of getting used to.There is an extra block of keys to the lefthand side of the keyboard - these are customisable, special function keys - which can be disorientating at first.Overall, I would be happy to recommend this as a decent introduction to gaming keyboards.
