A quality mouse and keyboard is essential for competitive PC gaming but a quality mouse mat maybe doesn't get the acknowledgement it deserves.I acknowledge that this offering from FIERIS is a valuable addition to the desktop.The smooth surface allows for speedy pixel perfect precision and the grippy non slip backing allied with the size of the pad ensures the pad won't budge under any normal circumstances. What I'm really getting at here once past the marketing spiel is, it's blimming awesome for Overwatch.The main selling point, however, is supposedly the illuminating red glow that surrounds the pad. This can seem a bit bling, takes up a USB port to power and could be an issue for left-handed gamers depending on your set up.

This is a nice mouse bad, it is rubber backed to prevent the pad from slipping. This is a soft mouse pad and provides a brilliant surface for my g500 mouse to use and works well with the laser.It is a smooth surface and reflects the laser perfectly well and when using in games i have no complaints at all.The pad is about 25cm x 35cm and not even half a cm tall, I had thought having the light edging around the mat would mean i would catch it more but you don't notice that as an issue when using the mat.Obviously it glows red, for me this is brilliant i have read lighting on the keyboard and PC case so goes well. It takes power from a USB socket which comes into the board on the plastic edge you can see,

The pad measures 25x35 so you'll need to see what space you have available before purchase as it's certainly not small, the quality is excellent with a rubber based bottom to avoid the pad from slipping around on your work surface. A gripe of mine with some pads of this nature is that the top surface can be a little on the hard side meaning prolonged sessions of gaming (with your hand resting on the mousepad) can get a little uncomfortable, I didn't suffer this problem with this pad nor did I suffer excess sweating so I feel Speedlink have got their materials spot on with this mousepad.The USP of this mousepad is obviously the illumination effect and it does look good,

Firstly, I'm not a PC gamer but I use my mouse for graphics work, so an accurate graphics mousepad is important to me.The Speedlink Fieris mousepad does offer precision mouse placement, so fits the bill perfectly for me.Its much bigger than most mousepads at 255 x 355 x 4 mm - so make sure you have the desk-space for it. The red glow is a welcome bonus for me and the mousepad stays in place due to its rubber underside.The only negative is that the black surface does attract dirt (especially cat hairs!) but that's a minor quibble and my fault for having cats!

A good mouse mat, smooth surface and my mouse feels responsive. The red light is cool, but a gimmicky touch which doesn't really add to the product at all - a feature for teenagers and younger, I would suggest. It's large, around A3-sized, so keep this in mind if purchasing a mat for a smaller desk. Sturdy, the fabric isn't bubbling or folding, so I would expect this to last a good long while.

Thought this was just another 'gaming' mat but I was wrong. It is a superb Mouse Mat.Well worth the money.
