Very impressive product. The instruction leaflet is pretty useless as is the product website in terms of what the different buttons do. I think I have it figured out though. As someone who often spend eight or hours a day on a key board I'm interested in anything that helps to avoid RSI and really think this mouse does. It is extremely comfortable to hold in your hand. From what I can see it helps keep your hand in a relaxed handshake position and stops that twisting motion you get with a regular mouse. Particularly if you are not using a wrist support.Rather than try to make it ambidextrous they have completely focused on making it for a right handed person and it is very comfortableLooks quite big,but that is partly a function of the height. As well as the wheel there are two thumb buttons that let you navigate forward and backwards in a web browser and a button on the right that brings up a mini command menu. The there are the general cursor goes here buttons. If there are more functions I am yet to find them.In terms of the footprint on the desk it takes up no more room than the Microsoft mouse I was using. It is really sensitive - much faster than the mouse I have been using and apparently it has an optical sensor as well as 5 dpi settings. There is a button adjusting the sensitivity for this on the top of the mice where the red lights are. I found reducing the dpi worked better for me as I am not using a mouse mat.

The idea behind this (right-handed) mouse is that the hand will rest at a natural angle (approx 45 degrees) to the horizontal rather than the forced twist to use a normal mouse, thus causing less stress on the wrist and hand. It feels very comfortable, moves very smoothly and I found it very quick to get used to. On my laptop I plugged into the USB and it was running immediately without any installations required. The two standard buttons are on the right hand sloping side and are in the same position relative to the fingers that they would be for a standard mouse, so there's no change in usage required. There is a wheel between the two buttons which again I found no problem in using compared to a standard mouse.Between the two buttons there is also a small button for changing the sensitivity of the mouse quickly if desired - there is an LED indicator on the left hand side to show the current setting via one to four red dots. On the left hand side at the bottom edge of the hollow in which the thumb rests are two buttons which act as forward/back buttons for applications which support them - for example in web browsers and I have also found that they work in navigating between windows in Microsoft Visual Studio. These two buttons are probably slightly less ergonomic if you are using them a lot, especially the back button for which you have to bend the thumb back a fair bit.

Let's the negatives out of the way - there's very little by way of description/instructions in English for this mouse. But you don't need any instructions, so no stars lost from the review. The device is a vertical mouse. I didn't actually know what that meant until I got mine. If you're in the same boat, imagine your mouse angled at 45 degrees, so the heel of your palm is resting on your table, with the rest of your hand elevated at the thumb joint. Compared with a standard mouse, this feels far more natural. I can't say that I suffered from mouse-induced RSI, but the Speedlink is easier to live with. I've taken the mouse to my office where it gets day-long usage. The Speedlink mouse has two sets of left- and right- buttons (one set for use with your finger(s)and the other, your thumb), a scroll wheel, a button to toggle between the DPI sensitivity settings and a row of LEDs which indicate the DPI sensitivity level selected. The mouse has a soft-touch plastic finish, almost rubbery in feel. The Speedlink mouse is ergonomically excellent.I use the mouse with a Windows 10 laptop across two (extended) screens; with the high sensitivity settings, I am able to scroll around using just my fingertips. In the past, I've found "gamer" oriented mice to be too sensitive and twitchy for office duties, but the Speedlink seems better suited to productivity.

The theory behind these ergonomic mice is that you hold your mouse in a more upright position than traditional mice, so you don't have to twist your hand as far (sort of like in a handshake position rather than the normal position where you palm is facing downwards). This should take the pressure of the ligaments down the outside of your arm.I bought myself a wireless one for work, and now use this one at home and it seems to have reduced the pain I was getting down my arms, so form my experience it appears to work. The upright position does make it slightly harder to control the cursor, but unless you intend to use this for gaming then that wont be an issue and you soon adapt. The feel of the mouse is that nice rubberised material you get on a lot of handheld products these days, smooth but not slippy. The dpi button has a few different settings and adjust the speed quite a bit. The buttons are nicely positioned, and my hand seems to fit its shape well (my hand is medium/large). Just plug the USB cable into your computer and it will work straight away without any issues.Note that if you are using this on a mac then you only get the standard right and left click buttons to work, same as every other mouse on the mac. Also note that this is right hand only.

I was looking for a replacement for my Nexus Silent 7000 Mouse which was advertised as being really quiet. It was indeed quiet but it didnt last more than 2 months before stopping to work. When I received this Speedlink mouse, imagine my surprise to find that actually both mice are virtually identical. The size, design, materials and clicking action is almost exactly the same. Even the USB receiver and the 'Quality Control sticker on the bottom is the same. I say almost, because the Speelink version seems to be more advanced with a couple of extra buttons on the side and it also takes 2 x AAA batteries, whereas the Nexus required 2 x AA.Now this Nexus mouse worked really well, but as mentioned,it only lasted for a few months and since this mouse seems to be the same, albeit slightly upgraded model, I really hope this mouse doesn't die on me like the Nexus 7000. That particular mouse is no longer available for sale, and I suspect that perhaps Speedlink purchased the rights to manufacturer this mouse? Or maybe it was the other way around. Or perhaps Speedlink and Nexus are the same company? Anyway, I am giving the mouse 4 out of 5, but if it continues to work after a few months, I will upgrade it to 5 out of 5.

I've not had an ergo mouse before however for someone who spends up to 12 hours a day at a computer having a quality mouse which is easy and comfortable to use is vital. The mouse is very fitting to the hand however does take little bit of getting used to, I found to begin with my hand would slide down and little finger rub against the desk however with some practice my hand felt very snug on it.The mouse comes with four default sensitivity settings however these have such a big difference between them that there is little point in having them on the mouse as the computer default settings offer a better range and flexibility. It took me also about 10 minutes to work out how to programme that two buttons on the side of the mouse. You have to download third party software for it but it is not very intuitive to figure out. With this in mind though it is only the set up which is a little frustrating but the mouse is comfortable and pleasurable to use.

This ergonomic mouse took a little getting used to but after a short time I came to really like it. Set up is plug and play, simplicity itself. It has a fine rubberised coating and is very comfortable to hold while keeping your hand in a natural position. The buttons for fore and middle fingers are pretty much where you would expect them although, until I got used to them, I found the back and forward browsing buttons a little too easy to inadvertently nudge with my thumb . It is very sensitive and glides easily over most surfaces although I still prefer to use a mat. A nice touch is that the sensitivity is adjustable, perhaps useful depending on whether you are gaming or browsing.I imagine anyone with RSI problems or indeed anyone spending hours at a time on a computer would find this mouse to be a great help.

This mouse is easy to get up and running. You simply attach the USB to the key board and it is ready to go.At first I found this mouse a little confusing because the shape is so different to what I am used to, though I soon got the hang of it.I find it very comfortable and do not feel any strain in my hand while using it.I like how the mouse feels my hand, and best part is the scroll button, which works really well and is better than the scroll buttons on either my Apple or Kensington mice.It is very quite and moves easily across my mouse mat.One thing about it that I do not like is that sometimes it is difficult to position the mouse arrow on it’s target.I do not know for sure but I think this has something to do with the DPI button and using it on a Mac.This is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Definitely the most supportive and comfortable mouse I`ve ever used - they`ve been around a long time and not much has changed but this is a tweak on the classic design that is a real improvement for anyone who may suffer the familiar office wrist ache and discomfort in their fingers. The angle is moved to a more upright position so you can relax the palm of the hand much better than with a usual mouse. It`s a shame it isn`t wireless as it makes it less useful to use with a laptop, but the comfort and the extra little buttons that allow easy tabbing across different windows make this an expensive but very decent option for anyone that will spend most of their working life clicking and scrolling, clicking and scrolling...this might just ward of the potential RSI.

This is odd. Basically, it is a mouse placed on its side, thus letting you rest your wrist better than a conventional mouse. So first you have to get used to the odd angle of use. Then you can play with it. Other than the odd angle, it's easy to use, fast, quiet, with a tracking wheel and five buttons to.play with. It's a good mouse, and I d recommend it.Except...its strictly right handed, and im a leftie! After years of adjusting, I can handle this, but if you are strictly left handed, then this will be very awkward to.use, and I would avoid! Not a fault, per se, but id argue they need to create a left handed version specifically for that purpose. Four stars then, but if you are right handed, give it a go! I think you'll enjoy!

First of all, this mouse is definitely suitable for right handed users - sadly not left hand mouse users, as I've tried and it didn't work! This is your usual mouse, but it's on its' side - ergonomic, to help you prevent RSI. It has five buttons including a scroll and a middle button which is customisable, as well as a set of buttons on the left hand side. It's corded, too, and there's an optical laser on the bottom for movement. What did I think of it? It's a weird sensation, holding it to the side rather than top down. It's going to take a lot of getting used to, but then when you think about it it's how your arm and hand sits anyway, so I think it's going to be okay. Not bad,by all means.

I like this mouse, well after a couple of hours I got used to it and then after a day it "clicked" and my brain had adjusted to the buttons being in the wrong place. It is very sensitive but doesnt make the cursor fly all over the screen as its also very accurate with only very small hand movements needed to get to where you need to be.It's very comfortable in use but the centre wheel was the hardest to get used to using as for my hand it seemed slightly off centre but I'm getting used to it slowlyThe only downside is that on my pc when it's in standbye mode the mouse stays lit. There is also alot of moaning from others about my weird mouse, just as well as it keeps them off my pc ;o)

This review concerns the SPEEDLINK Manejo Ergonomic Vertical Mouse - Black, price at review £29.99.A great ‘chunky’ mouse, with a nice smooth feel to all the surfaces, and just for a change its on its side! This enables a more user friendly feel, with the scroll button and left / right click buttons placed in their natural position.Set-up was simply plugin and away you go - there are no drivers required for MACos or Windows 10.There is a wireless version available but this one is wired with a decent 1.4m length cord.Works out of the box with both OS, but with MACos no ability to use the ‘swipe’ features found therein.Oh, and the blue LED lighting adds a touch of class!

I do like a vertical mouse. They feel much more ergonomically comfortable to me. This particular mouse is a five button variety with the thumb buttons sitting below the thumb bevel. The mouse plugs and plays with Windows and the thumb buttons default to a forwards and backwards on browsers – however the button configuration doesn’t appear in the mouse area of the control panel and is you want to reconfigure them you have to look at third party software. The mouse has multiple dpi settings and the only real complaint is the fact that the buttons are a tad sensitive – but to me better too sensitive than not sensitive enough. All in all, a nice mouse.

Upright standing mouse from Speedlink. All in black which matches really rather nicely with my new Speedlink mouse mat.Multiple buttons and an excellent scroll wheel. This upright mouse is quite a behemoth when I compare it to my Logitech cordless mouse. As well, as taking up more space the trailing lead is a bit awkward. The upright position is a little difficult to initially get used to,but once accustomed it seems to provide a good natural posture. The mouse responds very well to usage and also has 2 buttons on the side to reduce or increase sensitivity.Additionally, the mouse was very easy to install-plug and play does all the work for you:)
