This review is by my son:These headphones are fantastic. They measure up to my old Corsair ones brilliantly, in quality and aestetics. But that's just overall. This review starts going in-depth now.First off, the design of these headphones are wonderful. I do wish that they didn't have these annoying red lights on the side, but that's a nitpick. And when you can nitpick a product, that means it's really good, and without a huge amount of major critisisms, you start to nitpick. That rant aside though, the design is brilliant, but I wish that the headphones were a little more comfortable to wear. This is because they ear cushions are a little bit to small (Radius-wise)and the cushion at the top isn't thick enough to work correctly as a cushion. But, after a while you start to get used to it, but you do occasionally have to take the headphones off to stop your ears from hurting. But thats only once every 2-3 hours for me.To offset some worries you may have about the images of the headset regarding the position of the microphone, you can rotate it to fit the height of your mouth, but cannot move it closer to your mouth. This is not as bad as it sounds, because when you move a microphone closer to your mouth you start to hear certain annoying sound effects through the speakers, which does depend on the quality of the muffler. This mic, because of that; does not need a muffler, because it won't get close to your mouth. Unless if you physically move the headset closer to your mouth. Like any other good headset, you can also adjust the height of the speakers (seperately) to suit your head size.Sound quality. This I was especially blown away by, because I expected that it'd be your run of the mill, company just starting out gotta make cheap headphones stuff, but it was actually much better than that. Everything sounds like a top of the line set of headphones, and sometimes even better. I heard sounds which I thought were only possible in cinemas in my ears, and it was awesome. But, that is the only stand out thing I can think of about the audio quality for these headphones, pretty run of the mill, minus the brilliant surround sound which I swear sounds better than any other set of headphones.Microphone quality. This one is a little iffy. I know I talked about the microphone 2 paragraphs ago, but that was aestetically. This time it's quality-wise. The actual mic itself is generic, but it was when I was playing Arma 2 with some friends that I came across a huge realisation. They could hear my computers audio. This may just be a problem with Skype, because Skype is one of the buggiest and most memory using application I've ever used, but it might be caused by the headphones, seeing as everything speedlink always has one large problem which I find annoying. But this was quickly fixed after we started using Teamspeak instead. (Which Teamspeak is much better than skype, you just need Hamachi in order forit to work.)Overall, I really love this set of headphones. It might just be that my previous set had broken, but I think it's wonderful.

These offer value for money but whilst ideal for a teenager or for occasional use, I wouldn't say they're up to par for you if you expect a crystal clear sound and are used to top quality. My teenager has always been rather spoilt in that we're a family involved in technology so he's grown up with access to some pretty decent stuff (I used to work in design, his uncle is in it development and security) but as he approaches 14 I've learnt that things don't have the same shelf life when there is a teenager involved! So for him on his computer these are fab. They are definitely a better quality than most of his mates have but they aren't over run with additional features, seem to be built well enough and he finds them comfortable to use so all round I'd say they're fairly good value

I'm not so much a gamer, as a game user. I use Magix Music Maker for composition, and these are nice and comfortable to wear when I want to work quietly, and not disturb anyone in the next room watching Coronation Street. As I also share my compositions with collaborators, the mic is ideal for skyping, to discuss ideas, and share tips and inspiration. The sound through the headset is better than the built in speakers in my monitor, so I am sorted for quietly working on loud music! The USB and 3.5mm jacks mean these can be used on any Windows PC, running anything from '98 through to the accursed 10. I am on 8.1, and staying there!

For the money these are good gaming headphones. The sound quality is nicely rounded and clear across all frequencies and the right/left sound separation is effective. At 1.8 metres the lead is generous enough to suit most situations. The reddish glow from each can is a nice atmospheric touch if you are playing in the dark. Bear in mind that these phones are for Personal Computets and are not compatible with gaming consoles such as the PS4.
