I bought this Aircraft carrier kit and a couple of the smaller ships for my sons 7th Birthday. He was able to build the smaller Destroyer/Frigate on his own, but this Carrier needed Daddies help throughout the whole build.Firstly these kits come with mixed bags so you will need to manually sort all of the bags into understandable trays/pots/bowls of parts. Remember this kit cost less than £40, if it were made by the big yellow L company it would be nearer £140. So give these cheap Chinese kits a bit of time, you are getting what you pay for.In this case you get a lot for what you pay for. What we enjoyed the most about these Sluban kits is that they are proper block built models.

An all round great model with generally good build quality. The ship itself is pretty solid and did not have to make any design changes. The planes and choppers are pretty flimsy but hold up well if you don’t let them stay on the floor. Kids are super happy with it and have yet to break it after 3 weeks. Build time is around 2-4 hours for an experienced builder and was simple enough for the kids to participate.

It is truly amazing. Santa brought this for my almost nine years old son. He is absolutely thrilled. Very steady when built and fully lego compatible. Some help from an adult is required
