Shadows of the Damned is an action video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 video game consoles. The game follows the story of Garcia Hotspur, a Mexican demon hunter who goes to the City of the Damned to battle its evils in order to save his true love.If your looking for a shooter with plenty of action and plenty of violence then look no further, this is one bloodthirsty ride into hell literally, the game has a great story from beginning to end, plenty of shooting and some puzzle elements, the game is third person, there is plenty of humour, lots of vulgar dialogue and nudity and tons of sick gore and violence so if that sort of thing is not for you be warned, the graphics are pretty decent for an old 360 game and it still great go back too and play now, plentiful achievements to earn to boost your game score, the boss fights are insane on this game and are unforgettable, there is many cool and original elements of gameplay here that you wont have seen before and some that are familiar but on a whole this is a gem of a game worth digging back up!!Look out for the EVIL DEAD inspired stage in the cabin, its great. You get plenty great weapons, plenty ammo if your on easy, but be careful the harder settings pose a challenge.

There are some pretty negative reviews of this game, which I don't understand. I thought it played pretty great. It's a balls to the wall video game nasty, hot trash with absolutely nothing tasteful about it, and I love that.Playing it feels kind of curdled, and that's a feeling you don't get in many games. Blowing heads off never felt so good, or so odd. Garcia doesn't control as well as Marcus Fenix in the gears games, but he's fun to play - his weapons are thrillingly different from the usual set of SCARs and DRAGUNOVs. I couldn't get enough of the machine gun that fires teeth at people. Also, there's one gun that is made to be an extension of his cock, and just having a game come out and do that - it's pure aggression. The game has great, unique production values - the sound design and score are fabulous, the super colourful graphics are great, the animations are good, and the atmosphere is very involving. I couldn't keep away from it.THe only knock against the game is that there are A LOT of little cut scenes. Turn a corner - cut scene - walk a bit - suffer some NPC dialogue - go into a room - another cut scene. It grates after a while, because you wanna get to the killing and the cussing. But I forgive all, because when you do get to the killing and the cussing, it's just awesome.

This game doesnt deserve such poor online reviews. Graphics arent that great but it has great playability. Game is like Resident Evil 4 in hell on steriods. Played it on normal and enemy AI is good. Has good level design and havnt found any of the technical problems that online revies have found. If you like old school videogaming and dont mind poor graphics you should try this game. I am tired of online reviews giving bad reviews to games that have poor story and characters when this is totally irrelevant to video gaming. If you fancy other great games that have had bad reviews try Turok, Wofenstein. Games I like Resident Evil 4, Dead Space, Just Cause 2, Prototype, COD, Vanquish, Crysis,Far Cry PC, Half Life 2, Infamous, Saints Row 2, Uncharted. Games I think have poor playability Dead Island, Binary Domain, Resistance, Mass Effect(combat sections), Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, Goldeneye Reloaded.

Graphics, game play, gun play, voice acting, lighting are great. Nothing negative about this game really, other than....after finishing the game in about seven hours on easy mode I was a bit disappointed to see that there's no new game plus, where by i could replay the game from the beginning with all upgrades. No level select, so i could replay my favorite levels again and there's no sequel, would have been great to see another shadows of the damned. I'd give it 8/10. Give it a go hell monkeys!

This is the correct way to do an over-the-top shooter: take note, Duke Nukem! Imagine Resident Evil 4 on drugs, in Hell, with a flaming skull sidekick who turns into guns and motorbikes. Oh, and the music is by the Silent Hill composer.

God I love this game, cheesey and slylish, sort of like a RE4 knock off but with its own charm.Have heard they have stopped printing this game so grab a copy while you can

I don't know who play tested this and said "Yeah, that big boner section is okay, doesn't need to be shorter at all.". But besides that section the game is great.

Like resident evil with a. Sense of humour, it has legends of the games industry behind it. Not a classic, but still a very good game.
