I have recently been using the cheaper Waffle Cone Maker currently on Amazon for £12.00, for about a year now and it worked, but not very well. The steam fills up the indicator lights which is a bit worrying as it obviously goes into the internal electrics, and just recently tripped the MCB out on my CU. Being an engineer I decided to find out the problem only to find that indeed water had got into the inner element and shorted it out. So I decided to go for this Severin model as it looked slightly better. I use this machine every day to make tacos and it works fine. Cooks fairly evenly and more consistent than the other. The steam does not ingress into the electrics so I am quite pleased with it.

This waffle cone maker is very good. The plug supplied is already fitted with the UK three pin, so is ready to use immediately. The instructions are clear and concise, and also come with some recipes to try.The non-stick heating pads are easy to clean and cook the waffles evenly. This can also be used to make pancakes, and is much easier than cooking in a pan. This could even be used as a griddle if required.All round, this is an excellent product.
