The Chromebook is great for carrying about, writing notes with Google Docs, displaying data on USB sticks or external drives. It is lightweight, with fantastic battery life (though the older any laptop gets, the less efficient the battery) but often the old Chromebook will outlast a newer laptop for battery life.Whether the Chromebook is for you depends on how you want to use it. What a Chromebook does not cope with is extensive editing of photographs, recording and editing of your own music or your own videos. A Chromebook is not the solution to everybody's computing needs, but what it does, it does very well. Don't buy one if you want to play games.This Chromebook has only 16gb of built in storage,but the card reader can handle SDXC cards, so it's relatively cheap to expand the storage. 64gb class 10 cards can be purchased for £15.Surfing the net using Chrome is easy. The WiFi link is stable on my setup, other devices I've used have a much shorter range.The processor can handle 1080p MP4 video with no problems. A word of caution, it doesn't de-interlace 1080i video so you will see jaggy edges. Google are aware of this so it may get fixed.

I bought two of these Chromebooks.I wasn't sure what to expects they w ere refurbished.When they arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see that they looked in 'new' condition.These were gifts for my daughters children to do homework on, to research school projects and for fun.They have proved to be excellent value for money.The build quality is good. They are small enough for little hands.....and yet I could easily see myself using one with ease.Samsung is a very well regarded brand. I cannot compare it to any other brand as this is the first net book it looked at and was bought because it was competitively priced.Would I recommend it? Yes, I would.I can think of no real drawbacks to the product.

Samsung Series 3 Chromebook is definitely one of the best laptops for those people who need a fast, light and portable computer for work and Internet browsing. The laptop boots fast and have all the Google services that you might need for work and entertainment: Google Drive, YouTube, Chrome Store etc. Those who think this laptop works only when it is connected to a wireless network probably don't know that it works just fine offline as well. You can create various documents, watch movies or images, listen to music or communicate with your friends. Definitely a worth purchasing gadget for freelance writers or people who often travel. For people like me.

Had this item for just over a day now and haven't been able to put it down. It's not the most powerful 'laptop' in the world, nor is it going to set the world alight with its features. What it is, is extremely good at what it is designed for.The plastic casing is very high quality and has a nice finish to it, the keyboard is nice to use, the screen is clear and it's so easy to set up anyone could do it.I bought this item as a companion for university and can't see and problems on the horizon from that respect. All the Google services are integrated from the off and work flawlessly.Would highly recommend!

lovely little laptop, great for doing stuff like facebook, emails, twitter, kids that wanna take loads of selfies, internet banking, just trawling internet basically, nice and light, kids have had theirs a year and still not broke them.Bad points are I cant get it to connect to my printer even though apparently you can do that but I cant get it to work and also if you list stuff on ebay THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! You cant list stuff on ebay with it something to do with Java... you can browse ebay and buy stuff fine tho :)

Great little michine - does everything I need. didnt want a tablet, wanted something i could use for pleasure and some work.The only issue i have woulb be that a number of the programmes i would have liked to download on the machine are not compatable eg Avast security, despite this, its a great value for money.Great Mothers Day Gift - thanks!

When they came out, I didn't undertand why you would want a Chromebook. All a Chromebook can do is run the Chrome web browser. But here's the trick, it does it extremely efficiently. In doing that it gives a spanking to conventional laptops and PCs at a lower price in a more compact package. Kills the fashionable tablets stone dead.

bought to enable quick connection to wifi,browsing and emails.my main computer being 12 years old is now very slow!Have only had the chromebook for a few days but it does exactly what i want.Very light weight and easy to carry around.Ideal for anyone who wants something easy to use and for basic internet use.

Perfect. I ordered the item with wary but was delivered within a day carefully and well packaged. Opened it everything I expected. Quick start up. Lightweight. Very responsive. Would recommend this for people wanting something small and easy to work. Will help me during uni.

It picks up my wifi signal so much better than my other pc which cost twice as much. I now have a good working signal all day long for the first time in 5 years. easy to use apart from printing. Am I pleased? Oh yes I really am.......all I wanted well done Samsung

I use this for travelling in conjunction with a memory stick dongle.Compact size and light weight .At home it is my first choice over a conventional laptop as it is much faster and does not need expensive internet security.Very satisfied customer.Tony

very pleased with this chrome book.open the lid and its straight on the internet, no waiting to load ,just close the lid when you have finished.keyboard is simple and easy to use,the 11.6 screeen is a big improvement on my old 10.1.

this is a great little machine that does all you need without the worry of storage and anti virus software as everything is saved to the cloud. battery life in excellent and its lightweight for carrying, covers all bases
