Now before I begin, I just want to make it clear that I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes, but the opinions and views are my own honest ones. So, this washing machine from Samsung is from their new QuickDrive™ range with the exact model being WW10M86DQOA. It has several features including QuickDrive™, AddWash™, a 10kg capacity, Ecobubble™, Bubblesoak™ and Smart Control™ which I will go into a little more depth later.First, I’ll go through the aesthetics of the machine and some of the features which you will immediately see once the machine is unpacked, plugged and plumbed in and ready to go. The most obvious feature you’ll see straight away is the large door which, definitely seems to me larger than other machines I’ve seen. This is great as it provides a large opening, so you can place all your clothes in easily and quickly without having to stuff it in! Part of the large door has the smaller door which Samsung call their AddWash™ feature which I will talk about a little bit later. You’ll notice that there are lights in the drum when you open the door and this allows you to see if there’s any clothing that’s been left behind – great for socks that like to hide! Then next thing I noticed was this big centrally located dial which allows the user to select the wash programme they want. A nice touch on this is the LED light which shows what is currently selected and is the only indicator on the dial – hopefully the LED is durable as there’ll be no other way to tell if it’s doesn’t light up!Then, to the right of dial is the LED display with various information and status indicators to show the settings. You may notice there’s something called Smart Control which provides a method for the washing machine to be controlled by an app, which is something I’ll also go through later. On the left-hand side is the tray for the detergents and fabric fresheners/softeners etc. There are actually 3 separate compartments here, the first two are for liquids and these are used for the automatic dispensing feature which is used on some of the wash programmes. The other compartment is for powdered detergents. When you first power the machine on, you’ll hear and little tune which some people may get annoyed with over time, but I find it a useful audible indicator that something is happening. For my laundry purposes, I generally keep it simple or you could call it laziness and put in all types of clothing together. There is no separating between whites, coloured, underwear, cotton denim etc – it all just goes in!So that’s the overview of the machine, I’ll now try and explain to my best knowledge and ability what some of the special features of the machine are.Quickdrive™So, from what I know, Quickdrive™ is Samsung’s drum technology – and I’m referring to the washing machine drum not the rock band variety. It’s a technology which means the drum and the backplate rotates, either independently or simultaneously depending on what is being washed. This in theory should mean clothes are moved back and forth as well as up and down. It Allows clothes to be washed in a quicker time without compromising on the quality of the wash.Ecobubble™The Ecobubble™ technology on the machine is a bubble generator where it’s purposes is to fully dissolve the detergent before it reaches the fabric of the clothing. This means the detergent penetrates the clothing more thoroughly and doesn’t leave behind detergent marks you can sometimes get (which is really annoying as you know your clothes are clean though it looks dirty!), especially on darker material. It also allows washing at cooler temperatures and thus saving energy and money.Bubblesoak™This is a stain removal option on the machine where it will soak the clothing using ecobubbles™ to help draw out stains before the washing cycle begins. I’ve not used this feature yet as I try and avoid getting muddy, but I’m sure I will have to use it one day. When using this feature the clothes are soaked for around 30mins to try and get rid of all the dirt such as mud which may have dried up.Auto Optimal Wash™This is a feature where the machine will automatically work out the best wash using the various sensors in the machine such as the weight and even how dirty the clothes are – I’m not sure how it does the working out, but it’s very clever stuff! It will then wash the clothes and use the auto detergent dispense feature, so you don’t have to worry about how much detergent is needed or even what temperature to use.AddWash™So AddWash™ relates to the little door within the big door I mentioned earlier. This little door allows items to be added after a wash cycle has started. It means you can avoid having to open the large door – potentially getting the floor soaked (unless you planned to wash the floor anyway of course) or that item of clothing having to wait for the next wash. I must admit here, I’ve actually used the addwash door to add my gym stuff when I get home as it just seems more convenient than opening the full door – or this could just be me being really lazy! I’m not sure it was intended to be used in the way that way I use it though. The only downside to the AddWash™ in my opinion is that you cannot put in larger items such as a beach towel for example but it’s a handy feature nonetheless.Smart Control™Smart Control™ allows the washing machine to be connected to a device such as a phone or tablet but requires the Smart Connect/Smart Things app from Samsung. It did take me a few attempts to connect my machine to my phone even though I followed the instructions carefully on each attempt. Once connected up it presents a few useful features such as ‘Laundry Planner’ and ‘Laundry Receipe’. The planner as the name suggest allows you to set a time when you want your washing to be completed by – once that’s set, the machine will work out what time it needs to start to meet the completion time (hope that makes sense!)The ‘Laundry Recipe’, unfortunately isn’t as the name suggest and come up with a tasty dish whilst you wait for your washing. Instead, you select the type of laundry you want to do such as items of clothing or bed sheets, curtains etc. and it will recommend the programme to use.The other features include a ‘left behind laundry’ alert, drum clean and few other settings such as number rinses and spin speed. There was one thing I expected on the app was an option to switch the machine off, but I can’t seem to see it anywhere. I’ve not really used the app so maybe I’m not looking at the right place and I’m sure in future updates more features will be added. Now, before I begin my final thoughts, please bear in mind I am in no way an expert in washing machines, so please forgive me if some of the features I’ve explained are not technically correct. I am providing this review from the perspective of a user and tried to give a fair and impartial view – I’m a very brand disloyal person! The machine has been used a few times in the last couple of weeks and if I was asked if it cleans better than the old machine we had? My honest answer would be I can’t really tell. What I can say is that this machine is incredibly quiet compared to are previous machine, is simpler to use in some respects even though it’s packed full of technology and I’m hoping it does use less energy and water – I’ll find out when the utility bills arrive! If you want a washing machine which is quiet, brilliant at washing clothes, designed to save energy and water and packed full of technology, then you can’t get much better than this Samsung QuickDrive™ washing machine!

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposesAs a family of 7 with three kids that play football and we go through vast amounts of laundry every week and felt my washing machine was working 24/7Having had several washing machines past only lasting a few years before they broke down, I purchased an 8kg Samsung, and it was extremely well used over the last 4 years with only 1 fault caused by myself, this new QuickDrive machine is so much better,AddWash function came into its own straight away and was so much better than having wait for the machine to finish, and then doing another wash for that forgotten item, in my case normally the kids school uniform.Even the kids where keen on using it, to the point I felt they were holding back some of their washing, so they could use the AddWashThe big porthole makes it easy to load and unload and the drum light is a useful feature as you can find that missing item of clothing at the back of the drum. I would also turn the light on while the washing machine was running to confirm it was working as its so so so quiet. The Auto Dosing feature will save you money on detergent and keep your clothes and machine in optimum condition. As it adjusts to the load size and only puts the amount of detergent that is required. And has great stain removal program called Bubble soak that adds 30 min extra to the chosen program and is well worth it as it provides great results on those common family stains, like ketchup, grass and chocolate spread etc. I noticed a big improvement when washing dirty sports clothes compared to previous washing machines. My favourite program must be the Auto Optimal Wash as it uses 4 sensors to work out how to get the best washing results without any extra effort. It senses the weight of the wash load and adjusts the time and water usage for the best possible wash. It can even add extra detergent towards the end of the cycle should the clothes require it to ensure your clothes came properly cleanThis machine has Smart Control, which means I can use my smartphone for remote control of this machine Such as start, pause and even select your wash program. And could check and monitor the washer from the sofa, the office, or even when out and about. I was also able use Bixby to control the washing machine via my voice, which meant I didn’t even need to open the app.My only grumble with the Samsung QuickDrive is I feel the power button is very sensitive on rare occasions and would turn off if someone brushed it. Which could result in the programme having to be restarted or paused. However, this could be seen as a benefit for those with medical challenges such as arthritis. The Samsung Quickdrive has almost cut the time of our washes in half - the machine has a massive capacity with extra speedy washes. Great selection of programmes too. And with an 11yr warranty you have piece of mind it will last.Highly recommended

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes.A quick overview of the main features of this washing machine:-The QuickDrive helps to reduce the time your load takes to complete.-Its ecobubble enables you to wash at a lower temperature.-Auto Optimal Wash will determine how the load needs washing using 4 sensors.-Bubble Soak will get out the tough stains utilising its ecobubble feature before the main wash.-Add Wash enables you to add those items of clothing you dropped on the way to the washing machine or found in your child's bag.-Auto Detergent Dispensing saves you having to measure and pour detergent and fabric softener.-Smart Control allows you to use your mobile phone to work out what type of load you want to wash, plan when you want the load to finish, remotely start the wash and see how long it has left to complete.I was a little concerned if it would fit into my tiny galley kitchen but I needn't have worried, it fits just fine. The washing machine looks futuristic and improves the look of the kitchen overall. When running, the WW880 is nice and quiet and doesn't disturb me when cooking or working in the next room. All of the wash settings are quicker than I'm used to thanks to the QuickDrive and ecobubble, so I get more loads that all come out clean and soft.I've used the AddWash so many times, there is always something I've dropped or didn't even make it to the wash basket and is always found after the wash has been started. Now, it's not a problem at all! It's great to be alerted on my phone when the load has finished, no more setting a timer to when I think the load will be finished. Using the Smart Control to plan when you want the load to finish gives you slightly more control than on the washing machine itself and allows you to accurately set a finish time. It has a feature to tell you what washing setting to put your load in based on what you tell it is in the machine should you want to use that. You'd think that not having to measure detergent or softener isn't such a big a deal but it makes the whole process so much easier. You fill up the drawer section and forget about it until the washing machine tells you that you need to add more. With Auto Optimal Wash you no longer really need to think about anything. Just sort your wash into colours, throw a load in the machine and press start. The washing machine will auto determine how much is in the machine, work out how dirty it is and wash accordingly, auto dispensing detergent and softener as needed. If you want to take away any stress of laundry then get one of these. You won't be disappointed. I know that I couldn't go back.

After quite a lot of research I settled on this Samsung washing machine.I was attracted by a number of the features such as the automatic dosing of washing fluid / softener along with other features such as it’s very good efficiency. They probably under sell the efficiency element but it is easy to see how efficient it is from the product specs when compared to other products.I was sceptical about the ‘bubble soak’ claims yet I do feel that this washing machine does work wonders on stains so far. The ability to control the washing machine from your phone may be a little gimicky. It is useful to be able to check how long is left on the cycle from your phone mind. The addwash feature is helpful. This washing machine has a very large capacity which is clearly advantageous. The washing is weighed prior to the cycle so I get the impression that it would not unnecessarily use excessive water should / power etc if a smaller load is used than the 10kg. One thing. I have found is that the initial time for the load when filling the washing machine is quite far off the actual time for the wash. The time is corrected within minutes of starting the washing machine after the washing is subsequently weighed. However, it would be useful to see an accurate time before starting the wash. In future washing machines I would be useful to have a dispenser for auto dosing two types of washing liquid e.g bio and non bio compartments. If I require non bio I currently have to stop the auto dosing function and use powder, not a massive inconvenience mind.Overall an excellent, premium product. It is expensive but it does wash the clothes very well. I have genuinely found that the clothes seem to have brighter colours to them. There are clearly non essential elements such as the smart control function yet for a top of the range product these are nice additions.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. This washing machine is an amazing bit of kit. The price tag is high but well worth the money you would pay for this. The Auto dispense feature for the detergent and softener is a hit, saves loading the washer every time. And also saves putting the standard amount in (amount everyone always puts in) so it dispenses more or less if the machine detects it is needed, you can also adjust this so don't have to leave it to decide for you, you can decide this for yourself. The app for the QuickDrive feature is very good, gives you the perfect 'recipe' (cycle and settings)you need to wash the things you are going to wash. You can set it from your phone so very easy as long as you have loaded it you can start it whenever and whatever cycle you prefer. Also saving your favourite cycles so they are handy to access on the app. Took a little bit of time to connect to the app but persist with it and you will be fine, it could be the fact that our utility room has 3 walls in between there and the WiFi router. When the machine is in wash mode you wont hear a thing, I had to keep checking it was on, there's a slight noise when spinning but this is expected with the speed it spins at.The guarantee on the motor says it all, 10 years means you're getting your moneys worth out of the motor or they will fix it for you.All in all a fantastic machine and guaranteed to save time and money in the long run, super efficient and doesn't waste your detergent.

I bought this washing machine a month ago to replace my old 7kg Samsung when it died after about 8 years. On the whole I'm happy with it, but there are flaws. It's generally quiet although there was a bit of a rattle on the spin cycle. I wasn't sure if it was the machine's casing vibrating or it knocking against the wall of the space it fits in, but it seems to have quietened down with some prodding. When the door is open you can lift it by approx 2cm, the hinge seems a little slack. This means that the door swings wide open quite abruptly.I just tried the 'Super Speed' wash for the first time, which displayed as 39 minutes. It actually took 1 hour 45 minutes to complete. The load consisted of 2 shirts, one pair boxer shorts, 1 pair socks. 30c, 2 rinses, 1200 spin. This machine seems to share the same trait as my old Samsung; it sometimes takes ages adjusting/balancing the load before spinning, but every phase of this wash had taken much longer than expected. I've noticed this on other cycles too, the minutes displayed have got nothing to do with the traditional meaning of a minute, i.e. 60 seconds, but this was the most extreme. This would be very frustrating if you were counting on it taking the stated time.I don't understand why the 'Bedding' cycle has a 2kg limit in a 10kg washing machine. Surely bedding is the largest/heaviest load. So I use the Cotton cycle for my superking duvet cover etc. I like the auto-dispense function for detergent and softener, and the add-wash door.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes, and I have been very impressed with it.All the headline features work well. The 39 minute 'Super Speed' wash cycle is very effective, although I tend to use the 'Auto Optimal Wash' feature mostly. This is good because it bases the length of the wash on how much laundry is in the machine and how dirty it is. It extends the cycle while it's working as it judges necessary. The AddWash opening is really useful - we often find a stray sock that escaped after starting the machine - now we can just open the little door and chuck it in.The smart features are good and really well implemented. The app is available on Android and iOS,and is easy to set up and connect, especially on Android. The app lets you keep an eye on how long is left when the wash is running. It also has a 'laundry recipe' function, where you click on pictures of the types of things you've put in the machine, and it will choose the correct cycle for you, which you can start straight from the app, or edit if you want. One of the best things about it is how much quieter it is than our old machine. Can get a little noisy when spinning at 1600 rpm, but a lot of the cycles run at 1400 rpm and is very quiet, and clothes still come out impressively dry. Very impressed overall.

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. I have to say i am extremely happy with this machine. One of the great things about the machine is it is so quiet when it does the spin you don't even know it's doing it, even when you are in the same room. The quality of the wash is extremely good and it has a feature where you fill a dispenser up with detergent and it will weigh your clothes and automatically dispense the right amount of liquid suitable for the amount of clothes in the machine so it will not waste the detergent. Also it has a flap that you can open by pausing the wash (mid wash) and then if you dropped a sock on the way to the machine you can pop it in which is really fantastic.you could even fit a shirt in through the hatch if you wanted to which is awesome. If you download the app to your phone you link up the machine to the app and it will also tell you on your phone when your wash is finished or how long into the cycle it is so no more getting up to go check if your laundry is done which is great! Really like the quick drive feature too, With the quick drive you can do a standard wash in only 40 minutes. Also the machine looks really stylish and modern. Highly recommend it. Another great product from Samsung!

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes and I am very impressed. This QuickDrive is quiet, easy to understand, very attractive looking, has auto dosing which saves measuring detergent and softener every wash and has an AddWash feature which allows you to add missing items to the wash during the cycle. There is a 15 minute quick wash which effectively cleans clothes in such a small time frame without compromising on quality of the wash. I've yet to have a stain that didn't come out first time but there is a Bubble Soak feature for removing stubborn stains. The temperatures this machine uses range from as cold as 20°C up to 90°C ensuring all garments are cared for.Spin revolutions are available to choose from 400 spin to 1600. This model is Smart Control compatible meaning you can link up to your phone and control the features of the machine remotely. There are separate settings for bedding, cotton and synthetic. There's a rinse and spin setting and a drain/spin feature. It's a must have appliance for any home. It's beautiful to look at, it runs quietly and quickly and it's washes are all coming out clean and looking good. 5 out of 5

I received this washing machine from Samsung for product testing purposes. This washer is an amazing piece of kit, the only downside i can see to is that you have to load the washing yourself, it does everything else. The app you can use is packed with great features with more to come. When you forget to turn it on, you can simply go on your phone while out and about and start any cycle you choose and have it finish at a time you wish. It has a recipe guide for the laundry novices out there to help you with what cycle to put it on.The auto optimal wash cycle is the best, it doses the detergent and softener for the load you have put in.It does some sort of black magic (personally i think it actually goes out to buy replacement clothes as they seem like new).I couldn't recommend it enough for making the laundry run a breeze. The addwash feature is a great invention, forgot to put a sock in, no problem, just pop open the hatch and add away.We have had to buy a new laundry basket to carry the clothes in as the washer holds more than we can carry.

I purchased a WW10M86DQ00 2 months ago as a replacement for our previous 6 year old 12kg Samsung washing machine which kept on destroying the control mother boards due to poor heat disipation (a common problem apparently). All seems well with our new machine other than the fact that it does not appear to be dispensing the softner at the rate requested. As an auto dispensing machine with the option to select 3 rates of dispensing for detergent and softner, by default I select no 2 for detergent and no 3 for softner as I want my clothes smelling fresh once washed. The auto dispense containers for the detergent are twice the size of the softner one but I have noticed that the softner container is near full and the detergent container is empty when using the aforementioned rates.Surely this cannot be correct?!Within the first 2 weeks we also had an horrendous noise emanating from the machine during one wash cycle which has not repeated itself since.....lets hope it stops that way!

This really is the best of the best in terms of washing machines. It is very expensive but worth it.Features that I love: - the light up drum- the tune when it’s finished it’s cycle- the colour scheme of graphite and light blue led’s- the automatic wash cycle- it’s really quiet when on; even the final spin is not loud- the automatic detergent and softner dispensing- the machine sends a message to my phone via the smart things app when the cycle is finished- the machine delays the end time rather than the start time- the echo bubble soak feature and two opposing drum rotations- the add wash door is more useful than I expected - the 11 year warranty on parts and labour.Features that could beimproved:- the liquid detergent and softener cannot be too thick or the auto dispenser clogs up and just stops working which you just have to figure out by horrible smelling washing. I now have to water it down a little so it’s not too thick and doesn’t clog.

Had the machine a month. We run our machine every night on the Auto Optimal Wash using the delay timer using economy 7 electricity and after a month it has halved our consumption of electricity. Delay timer is great although the time the wash takes is optimistic - display initially states wash will take 1.23 hrs and after 40 minutes still shows 56 minutes left!Delay timer works well. The Super Speed wash at 39 minutes is great for a 5kg load. Extremely economical on detergent and softener as we filled the auto dispense containers 4 weeks ago and not had to replenish either container after 40 washes and the clothes are cleaner than with our old Miele machine.Very quiet on a wash but depending on the load it can be heard when spinning. Not had to use the 1600 spin speed as the 1400 spin is so good. Delicate wash is excellent and uses the 800 spin speed.Samsung help line are very helpful to register the warranty as the web page is confusing.

I bought this a few weeks ago, getting used to not filling the detergent and softener every wash, although my wife will insist on checking the levels. The spin speeds are misleading, not all washes can be spun at 1600 rpm, I would prefer if we could select the higher speed if needed, but are limited to how high they can go per wash, so we sometimes choose Cotton at 1600 because Quick wash only goes to 1200 and the clothes are still wet.the 1600 spin is only as good as our previous 1400 spin washer, they dont come out any dryer, which I would have expectedWe like the programmes and easy to use once we had read the instructions a few times.I tried the app,but find that as we are at the washer then might as well set the wash from the front panel rather than turning on the app just to set the wash. All in all a good machine but a few anomalies we was not expecting.

I've just replaced my old appliances with the WW8800 washing machine and the DV8800 tumble dryer and so far I am very impressed with both of them and they look great in graphite too. Two days in and laundry nightmare becomes reality. A paper tissue gets left in the pocket of an item being washed. Open the washing machine door and bits of paper shredded in amongst the clothes and inside the rubber door seal. Im sure it's happened to everyone at some stage. Took the clothes out and put them in the drier. Set the washing machine to eco-clean mode and an hour or so later not a trace of paper anywhere. Took the clothes out of the drier at the end of the cycle and all the paper had been collected by the lint filter and not a trace of paper in the clothes.I call that a result. If that had happened in my old machines I would still be cleaning them out
