if you are using a smartlav or standard rode lavalier or headset microphone (with micon 11), this adapter allows you to use it plus a headphone for monitoring or two way speaking.plug this into your smartphone 3.5 mm and the headphones and (up to) two rode TRRS connections into this. no loss of quality.however, if you have a protective case, this will not each in to the socket to properly lock so you either need to remove the case or (as i have) get a short TRRS male to female extension.I need to check if it works with the micon-2 (trs plug in power adapter) and will edit this review when i check it.

The SC6 allows the use of the Rode SC1 microphone to be used in conjunction with standard pin-out TRS 3.5mm headphones. Ideal for superior audio in both channels during making a podcast or broadcasts live from the iphone to studio or social media. It has two mic sockets that can allow the use of two microphones for interviews. The pin out uses the CITA standard.
