Crystal clear sound quality for my work which is voice recording for teaching. Very low sound floor when on phantom power but great to have the battery backup option. Solid metal build and robust enough to last for years. Looking forward to putting it properly though it's paces.

But shockingly not much in it between this and the generic HTDX-HT81A the only discernable difference is that it is of better construction, more solid and battery cover stays attached when loading battery

I have been trying carious mics for months now and finally bought 2 Rode NTG2's, absolutely brilliant sound quality - highly recommended.
