Entry level microphone that can be used with Canon EOS DSLR. It does a good job: the audio is not super clean, it is only mono, but for less than 60 pounds I cannot expect miracles.It is quite solid when it comes to its construction. I can quickly attach it to my DSLR and it does improve the quality of the videos compared to the camera built in audio microphone. I like it does not require a battery as it is powered by the camera. It comes with an instruction leaflet but it is not required as it is pretty straightforward to work out how to use it: I put it on the mic mount of the Canon, I plug the mic wire into the camera and I adjust the audio/camera settings. Done.The wire is not super long,

I found that I needed a direction microphone for my Nikon D5600 DSLR in certain recording conditions.I tried another brand of microphone but found the results less than impressive therefore I purchased the Rode VideoMic Go Microphone as I had seen it being used by several others plus the reviews seemed pretty good too.Having worked in the field of audio for more years the I care to remember it would be easy for my to be critical, however, I have to say that this microphone has exceeded my expectations for the price, it does not require a battery, and the shock most is of by far the best design I have so far seen.

The microphone is fine, and works as expected, very clear.Of course, it only records in mono, whereas my EOS 80D has a pair of stereo mics fitted on the front.I've ordered the furry "Deadcat", as the foam muff supplied with it only has a minimal effect against wind.I only have one negative thing against it.With my camera, and the microphone and muff itself all being black, what bright spark thought it would be a spiffing idea to make the mounting bracket and connecting cable PINK?It ruins the look of the whole thing!!

Brilliant might bought this after listening review on youtube by youtubers, it connect easily to iphone and my D90 camera. Recently I have been filming with my iphone 6 and connecting this mic to it makes the voice a lot clearer compare to my other video.This is my latest video with mic & iphone[...]And this one is with iphone no mic connected[...]Not sure if you can spot the difference but the sound in first link much clearer

I'm relatively new to vlogging, had a lot of complaints from the viewers at the beginning with the sound quality of the videos then I bought the Rode Mic and the sound is perfect and haven't has a single complaint. I highly recommend and it also comes with the fury want shield to put over the Mic. 2 thumbs up.

Awesome mic. I just mess around with some filming and wanted to get a mic that was better than the one on the camera. The mic creates great sound quality and is a decent directional mic. I can be out and about and still have my voice recorded very clearly. Other good thing is it works with my phone!

Excellent product for those looking for good sound quality in videos. Rode VideoMic Go does not need batteries. You just need to turn on the camera and your creativity, and it's working perfectly. For a better experience, invest in an external recorder to further enhance Rode VideoMic Go.

Love the sound quality on this as long as you're in range. Not sure if it's me but I find the range very small, under 2m, so when trying to film tutorials for YouTube, I feel like the sound should be a bit louder. But otherwise sounds very clear and doesn't pick up any white noise.

I love this mic, so simple to use because you don't need to charge up batteries or remember to turn it on.I use it for singing/vlog/craft tutorial videos on youtube and works a treat.Was perfect for someone like me who isn't over tech savvy as well!

The microphone came in perfect condition, with all the pieces advertised. The RØDE VideoMic Go maintains amazing quality, whilst incredibly blocking out all unnecessary sounds in the background, leaving just the sound of your voice. Would reccomend

This model does not require a battery to forget. The sound is great. The cradle is flimsy though and you should be careful of it in your bag. It needs protection. I broke one but was pleased to buy another. Its a great mic.

Product delivers very high quality audio and has a great usage distance. It is very lightweight but well built. The cable is neatly coiled. The wind shield is easily removable and replaceable. Great product for the money.

This microphone is pretty good for the price. The sound is a lot crisper than any standard dslr camera and it functions well in wind. However if you have a slightly larger budget, I would recommend the rode videomic pro.

Great quality audio - the only issue I had was a hissing and static sound when using this with my Galaxy S6 phone. Switching the phone to airplane mode got rid of all the hissing, so it was just radio interference.
