I bought a mic for some audio work and noticed that everyone recommended a pop filter. I decided to buy a matching branded one and see what the fuss was about.For my quality of work, I don't think I noticed much difference. I also had set my iMac input so that I could comfortably talk 3 feet from the mic and all sounds were picked up. With or without the pop filter, I couldn't see much difference.When I used the mic up close, then sharp sounds were immediately softened and the 'spit' effect of some letters and pronunciations were subdued. It wasn't much, but the audio captured was much softer and smoother than when not using it. I wouldn't record up close to the mic without a pop filter.This one is quite large,

I already had an older all-metal pop filter but I bought this just because I saw professionals use this type in recording studios on television. I was curious to see if there was a difference between the two and I discovered that there was a slight but fairly significant difference.Both filters eliminate the pop that normally comes when pronouncing your 'P' and 'B', but I felt that the double layer of this new filter offered better protection against an occasional harsh 'S' which can accidentally disfigure a recording. I feel this is an important factor and could actually save an otherwise good take when recording.I have not tried to wash this new filter under running water but I presume it can be safely and effectively done as and when necessary.

For a very reasonable price, you get a perfect product which has a double layer and is certainly big enough for most microphones. I have owned a more expensive K&M filter in the past and would say this is very close in terms of performance. I am really surprised and can’t recommend the filter enough. Perfect for occasional use, in a small home studio or more intense use. In fact, you don’t really need a studio because it will secure to most things.

Purchased for my portable voice-acting/audio production studio and I must say that it is definitely what it says it is. The first test was to blow air through it. I felt little to nothing come out the other side. I shall be giving it the mic test today as I also just purchased a mini-recording/podcast studio that arrived today and I am eager to play!!! If I am able to remember, I will post how well it did the (hiss/pop) job it was created for. =)

What is a pop filter and why do they keep appearing in Youtube videos? I bought one to complement my existing mic and test it out. My speech becomes smoother, it diminishes the glottal sounds which can sometimes be more pronounced through a mic. Don’t be fooled into thinking that you will only get a small thing for £9.99. It is large enough to accommodate your mic – whatever the brand and is good for vocal recordings or singers.

I was dubious about buying this and similar items having read the "cons" submitted by previous buyers but I have this one in place and it certainly stays where its required, no tipping or gradual movement. Also, I tried a test of blowing through the fine gauze of the filter and on placing my hand behind, no air movement was felt. On using it I can certainly say its a good buy, especially at this price.

Pretty much as the headline says - it's a pop filter, absolutely fine, pretty cheap, works well with the boom arm I picked up at the same time - only word of advice is to make sure that you use the arm part of it going *over* rather than *under* as it does have a slight tendency to fall a bit when you first let go - but, let's be honest, that's the same as any pop filter on the market!

I bought this pop shield at a low price, it came one day before the estimated arrival and WOW it works well! The only thing I would note though is that the clamp is a little loose and wobbly, but other than that it's really good! The arm is stiff and tight, it holds up well, it's REALLY good at filtering out the pops, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Recommended by a music friend who swears by them. Arrived promptly through Amazon’s logistical partner in top condition. Fitted my pretty standard microphone and worked very effectively. What I really like too is how it stops the mic becoming humid AND allows for much clearer pronunciation of words like ‘wasp’

Does a great job for the price.My audio sounds really nice in stream when using this filter.I'm not sure that the arm is of the best quality and the fact of how long it is, means it can be a pain to set in the place you need it (I've had to wrap it around my mic arm to hold filter in place).

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and it arrived in perfect condition and slightly ahead of time. He uses it to record songs, but does not have a massively expensive mic. If you are an amateur and want a reasonable way to significantly improve your recordings this is without a doubt it!

It does what I need it to do essentially. It's easy to position into alot of awkward shapes to cover you mic and the clamp is sturdy enough. I don't have much experiance with wind screens and I'm sure there are better ones but for what it's worth I have have no problems with it

The size is just right to work successfully with all conventional microphones. The gooseneck is just the right length to be easily aligned with the mic. As regards the fastening clamp, it is well manufactured, holds tight and can be fastened in almost any location

5 stars simply because the pop filter functions so well for such a simple concept. I tested it with a UM1, but it can easily be attached to most standard microphone stands. Decent quality, stays where you want it. Fab price. Can’t grumble at all!
