I have tried and tested just about every foundation going from low end to high being a foundation wearer of 20 years. This is by far the best I have found. I have a typical oily t zone and dry every where else. For people undecided between the dry skin and oily version of this foundation, use the oily/combination type. It has a much better consistency, coverage and staying power.According to a makeup artist this is the nearest you will get to Estee lauder's Double Wear foundation, I've used Double Wear and it didn't last half as long as this foundation. It also lasts longer and covers better than any of the Mac ranges.I have tried and better tried every combination of the high end foundations and simply cannot find one that beats Colourstay. How you apply this and set it makes a difference, don't underestimate what priming, using a blender and setting does for your foundation! I use Max factor primer, apply Colourstay with a beauty blender or brush and set with a translucent setting powder. That will keep the foundation on from 9am until midnight and even then it's a struggle to get off so invest in good face wipes/makeup remover! I wear a lot of foundation, I am not a minimalist makeup wearer, I'm a full coverage, not a bit of skin showing, every make up product possible on my face kind of wearer, so the fact that I can keep so much foundation on shows its staying power!People who cannot 'keep' this foundation on, I would hazard a guess, are not priming or setting their face and are probably rubbing a bit on with their hands. I have made all of my friends and family convert to this foundation and they all swear by it and it's staying power. I also love that it is pretty much water proof. If you get caught in the rain you don't get holes of foundation missing! Also this foundation doesn't oxidize so it won't change colour and get more orange as the day progresses as a lot do. The colour you start with in the morning is the colour it stays. I could go on and on about this foundation. Just buy it, if you cannot find your colour then Buff is a very good colour to buy as a lightest one to mix with a darker one of your choice to get a perfect match.

I have combination/oily skin and I've tried this foundation before they changed the formula and I didn't like it. This time round though, I'm impressed. Before it was very cakey and natural, whereas this feels like another layer of skin, and stays on for ages.Coverage ---It's quite a runny foundation but I'd say gives you medium coverage in the first go. It isn't enough to cover blemishes but you can wait for it to set and build it. I still wouldn't say it's truly full coverage, though. More of a daily, natural foundation. I use concealer just to top up areas like dark circles and blemishes.Finish ---It does have a matte finish, although I'd say my skin does still look a bit dewy afterward so in my opinion it isn't traditional matte, which I really like. It has a nice glow to it which makes your skin look healthy. It does cake very slightly in dry areas so it's worth prepping the skin by exfoliating and using primer, I found that I needed to use my finger to dab these bits in and try to make them less obvious.Application ---A wet beauty blender provides thinner but smoother coverage, whereas a silicone beauty blender gives thicker but less blended coverage. A brush doesn't really do it for me with this foundation as it's too runny, and fingers is a no-no for all-over.Longevity ---I will say that I'm not getting super shiny by the end of an 8 hour work day and my foundation is staying on, which is surprising for me as usually it has pretty much disintegrated by the end of the day! It does seem to keep oil at bay too. Again, I use primer underneath and also use transparent mineral powder on top to set it.Breathability ---I've had no issues with (more) spots since using this which is fantastic as my skin is sensitive to makeup, and it feels very light on and isn't sticky.Overall, I'm very impressed with the new version of this foundation. The winning factor for me is the fact they've sorted out the caking and it does last all day, which is the unique selling point for this for me. I'm going to use this as my daily foundation from now on! Recommended to all of the combo-oily people out there.

Ok, so I am 42 years young (ha!) I have actually been using the same general make up products since I was a teen (foundation, concealer and powder) Always felt too much faff to change the staples due to colour matching etc - so I have stuck to the same all these years!I have been stuck at home for a year now working from home and realised how much more I am seeing myself in the tons of mirrors I have in my house. I realised my basic makeup just doesn't make my skin look the best anymore - I have good skin for my age I think but felt like I needed to shake things up a bit! So I have been brave and been researching and swatting on reviews.I decided to try this foundation and I am so glad I have!I love it! I am sat here at 9.20pm (about to take my makeup off and cleanse etc) and I cannot believe my makeup looks the same as when I put it on at 7.30 this morning! I have combination skin and I chose to use this foundation which is aimed at that type. By late morning early afternoon I have always had to retouch my makeup due to shine on t zone - and even then it didnt look amazing once touched up - I haven't touched my makeup today since applying and it looks fab still!Super impressed! Buff is the colour I chose - risked it as thought it could be too dark for my pale skin but its perfect! I followed the colour match guide and went this one because I have yellow undertones but am pale also... Its like it was made for me!No shine - no slippage...coverage was great when applying. I applied with a kabuki brush. I have also chose a new powder which was Max Factor Miracle Veil radiant powder - so this could have also helped with my new happiness but still! Super happy! The difference from my old products (all Rimmel) is honestly massive!I am converted now! Even running my fingers over all areas of my face now, there's no tackiness even after well over 12 hours.. IMPRESSED!!!! Why did I wait so long to be brave and try something new? *sigh* I suppose I should thank lockdown giving me more time to find ways to improve my make up stash! :)

Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Combination/Oily skinin SAND BEIGE Shade No 180I have never worn any Revlon Foundation before, despite this being a well-known and long established manufacturer of cosmetics. So, this is my experience.1st Impressions:• This Revlon Colorstay Foundation is presented in a well-weighted, clear glass bottle, topped with a clear smoky black pull off top, which has a smooth snug fit and a firm 'click' when replacing it. The shade name and number are shown on the bottle.• There is a peel back label on the rear of the bottle. This label provides a long list of Ingredients and How To Use the makeup.• The make-up is dispensed via a black plastic pump action top, which I advise to press gently in the first instance, so you can get used to the action ad quantity dispensed. In use:• The foundation is a fairly pale colour, which I found to be of just the right consistency, for ease of smoothing over my face. I just use my fingertips; I have never got on well with sponges. I don’t have much colour naturally, and this SAND BEIGE provided a nice velvety matte finish, that equalled out my skin tone, whilst not looking overly 'made up'.• The make-up has an SPF15 rating• There is next to no fragrance – it is just a sort of a powdery scent.• My skin felt very comfortable, and the foundation looked good for many hours. It is a lightweight makeup that did not seem to accentuate lines or creases. I also found that as not much was needed, it would be economical. At time of writing this Review, the RRP is £12.99 (less on Amazon offers) and in my opinion represents value for money from a quality Revlon foundation.

I was looking for a very long time for a foundation that would not make my face cakey. Since I have combined skin, I was always wearing matte foundation but none of them suited my skin. I tried a lot from NYX and L'Oréal and cheaper ones but they either were bad quality, either they were looking horrible on my skin. My problem was always that the foundation was clogging all my dilated pores and the face was looking very cakey, especially around my nose, mouth and on my forehead.I did not had much hope with this foundation because I was thinking that it will be same as others to be honest... and how wrong was I...I received it today and put it on immediately to test it.It's very liquid but covers good and looks sooo natural on skin. Also it's so good that even if you mess up, it's possible to correct everything very quickly with same layer or with another one on top. It even covered my dilated pores very well without clogging them. For full coverage is needed for 2 layers, but even with only one, it looks so flawless on the skin and so natural that my boyfriend didn't even observed that I'd put foundation on. Also feels light on the skin and first 4-5 hours feels like I wear nothing on my face even with powder on as well. After 5 hour in my case I started to have a little oil on my skin but it was less than I had it with any other foundation, also I put my fingers on the skin to see how it feels and it's not sticky at all, after 5-6h of wearing it - for me that's amazing! This is by far my favourite one and I already threw all the rest of my foundations, will definetely buy more.

Beautifully presented. The pump works extremely well, it squirts out quite far so make sure you're above your hand or blender depending on which you wish to choose. This comes out quite runny. A little can go a long way. Works very well when building up too. I'd start with a little and see how you feel then add more if necessary.I had fresh beige. I would say this has more warm undertones than pink so it is a bit dark for my pink undertones.I loved the way this spread. I had to use the blender to get a good quality finish. When using the brush or fingers you could see finger prints or streak lines from the brush.Wet the blender a tad and start dabbing. This gave it a perfect finish and got into every corner too.I gave it a couple of minutes to fully set. I wiped my finger across a few places to test. Some did come off onto my finger but only slightly and it barely left a mark on my face so I thought that was great to say I hadn't set it yet.Worked brilliantly when I wanted to build up around my dark eyes. I didnt use concealer just to test the best of it. Although it worked somewhat over the dark mark's, the finish is quite natural, therefore it doesn't build up a heavy layer so you could still see it slightly. This last several hours but did start to look at bit worn by the evening from the morning.I would recommend. Beautiful, natural finish. Dries well with no shine. I think its brilliant for the price too! I would just definitely recommend a blender!

The foundation is supplied in a solid glass bottle with an open top and screw lid. Better suited to the dressing table than a handbag in my opinion. The beige sand coloured product feels smooth to the touch and goes on well. For a light shade it looked quite dark in the Amazon picture, but appears lighter in the bottle but then darker when applied to pale skin! I thought the colour was erring towards pink rather than yellow shades of `skin colour'.Revlon claim you can wear it for up to 24 hours although I cant imagine wanting to go to sleep in foundation. It does stay put once dry although get warm and sweaty and then it just wipes off. Revlon describe it for combination/oily skin and it was ok on combo/dryish skin.It is quite heavily pigmented and with a large bottle opening, it's easy to apply a thick layer. Revlon describe it as having a lightweight feel. Maybe that is true when compared to other similar foundations, but having got used to tinted moisturiser then I would not describe it as light. My young skin tester mixed it with a lighter coloured foundation (not Revlon) to get the shade she wanted, and said once powdered it was perfect! The ingredients are listed when you peel back part of the label I counted a least 42! Handy if you need to check for compounds which many cause allergies. The instructions are also under the label: `Shake well before apply to one area at a time, blending quickly'. Remove with facial cleanser.Overall recommended

I can’t believe i put off buying this foundation for so long because i thought it looked too dark in the bottle! I’m extremely pale (#95 in maybelline fit me foundation, #2 in collection lasting perfection concealer and white/ translucent face powder) so i’m so cautious when changing my foundations, but i also have incredibly oily skin and i’d heard rave reviews of how long this lasts. I’ve always had to mix the palest maybelline fit me foundations with the maybelline superstay 24hr foundation to get it light enough and get the staying power of the superstay, however buying two foundations does get expensive and with this foundation cheaper on amazon i thought i’d go for it, and i’ve never ever been happier. It stays even longer than my two previous foundations which i didn’t think was possible, i’ve had it on for twelve hour days and have only just started to get creasing in my smile lines at this time point. It is in fact pale enough for me, does not oxidise on me as i’ve seen on other reviews, and the staying power is the best i’ve found so far for my insanely oily skin. It may seem watery as soon as it’s out the bottle, but once i’ve used concealer and powder on my face then it absolutely does not move all day. It also doesn’t feel heavy at all even though the coverage is definitely medium-full and is totally buildable. I honestly couldn’t recommend enough to everyone and can’t believe how good it makes my skin look.

This true beige colour stay foundation is a good consistency, it is very lightweight but has a lot of pigment so i think on top of a good moisturiser it will be lovely, unfortunately i could only smear a little on my hand as the package was in such bad shape, i wasn't prepared to use it on my face. The colour is perfect for fairly light skins that want a little hint of colour. It's a shame this was in such bad condition when it arrived, i'm unsure why but it's definitely been opened before.. these kind of products should have a top to bottom seal for hygiene but this one came in a bubble wrap bag and as seen in pics there was no sealing apart from a small adhesive strip which was not very well stuck down and peeled off easily, leading me to believe it had been peeled back before it reached me.I have not seen any other reviews stating this happened to them so i think i have just been unlucky in transit possibly?. but i would order again now i know the colour is so perfect for me, it does look very dark in the bottle but spreads well and the colour calms once on the skin. I can still say it's perfect coverage and in every other respect i think i have found my foundation. The price is great too.Arrived very quickly but unfortunately badly packaged, could look into top to bottom sealing of products and maybe inside a small box rather than bubble wrap envelope. Otherwise great product.

This is a decent budget foundation, I usually wear a much more expensive brand but am always on the lookout for cheaper alternatives so was interested to try this. Firstly, application is really easy with a handy pump bottle. I tend to use my fingers to apply foundation and this blends quite well; you really do need a primer underneath though so it applies smoothly and evenly - with other brands I have got away without using anything underneath which is handy when you're in a hurry. But you definitely need to find the time to put a base layer on with this as it goes on a bit patchy otherwise.Coverage is quite light, and it has a mattifying effect, presumably to help oily skin keep the shine down (which it did quite well on my typically oily forehead), but on normal skin (I have combination skin), it looks a bit flat so you'll need to use bronzer/blush to liven it up. Once applied properly alongside other products it lasts well and will still look good at the end of the day.Overall this is a good solid budget makeup which offers a light coverage and helps keep shine to a minimum. However for me this doesn't work as a wear on it's own foundation, I have two little girls and am always in a rush so I like a foundation that can be put on in a hurry and doesn't require other products to make it work well.Very good value however and worth a try especially if you have oily skin.

Really even and flawless coverage - took a while to 'settle' on as it made me look a bit pale the first time I applied it, however within a half hour the colour had brightened and was working perfectly with my skintone. I even got a compliment about it! I would definitely buy in future, although when recommending I suggest that you always buy a shade darker than you think you're going to need.I do see a big design flaw in the packaging than needs attention, however. When this arrived I expected a pump applicator or at least a wand attached to the inner lid. No such luck! I was presented with a glass bottle with absolutely no way of getting the liquid out. 'Okay', I thought, 'no problem, you must just have to pour it out'. So I tilted the bottle and waited. And waited. Then I upended the bottle and waited. And waited. And bashed on the bottom of the bottle like it was ketchup. And shook it like a maraca. The liquid did not budge an inch. Irritated, I had to stick my little finger in to get any foundation out, getting it under my nails. Not my idea of elegant application. This is really silly and poorly thought out for such a well-regarded brand name. They either need to make the foundation runnier (which I would not prefer, as the consistency is perfect as-is) to persuade it to come out of the bottle, or they need to add some kind of applicator.

I have tried natural beige, which appeared close to my skin tone in terms of the product picture on the page, but the reality is a much darker pigmentation (it is correctly labelled) in terms of the actual bottled colour. I expected the colour to be much too dark, but it was actually one of the closest matches I have found to my current, post-summer, slightly suntanned skin. I would therefore say it is imperative that you check out the colour in person, testing it on your skin, as there is no way I would have picked this colour out from a line up as it appears to be much darker in the bottle than anything that has suited my skin previously.Application is pretty good as well; it goes on smoothly and evenly, with the pump enabling a very small or larger quantity to be dispensed according to need. It does settle somewhat on areas of dry skin, but less so than with others I have used in the past and it does seem to be something you can rectify with a little bit of attention, as long as you notice it in early course. It lasts well and then comes off with ease when you want it to.Find out your colour in person, then you can order on line without any nasty surprises. Choose darker than you expect to need, as the colours seem much lighter once dispensed from the bottle. It is one of the better foundations I have used on patchy dry skin.

This Ivory shade is most likely the lightest in the range I think. Usually use a Boots No7 in Calico as have very pale skin but with a slight touch of sun finding that this Ivory shade a little too light. Great for winter for me though and at the price same size of foundation in bottle but smaller so easier to fit into makeup bag well worth it for price. The one thing I have noticed with this one though is that if putting a lot of it on used fingers not brushes or blenders (might be better using those). Is that it seems to sink into any pores and any dry areas on skin like under eyes it seems to cling too and show up the imperfections up more. Think this is due to the shade of it being a bit too light for me.That's the problem best to look in shops first and trying a tester before ordering as web pictures can be deceiving. It goes one easy pump bottle so just a small amount comes out each time. It feels more runny in consistency than my usual brand, no skin eruptions thankfully and it does have a SPF20 so that's good. Really a good decent budget foundation that does last through out the day being touched up with powder as and when needed but no shiny face which is good.Think if I could find the right shade for summer for myself would change to using this one as such a lot cheaper.

Love love love this foundation! I have to be honest I haven't tried many foundations in the past and I have been very cautious about picking one up too because I am highly prone to breakouts but I had my eye on this one for many years only because it had one specific to Oily/Combination skin. I was really tempted to try this on and went along to read a lot of good reviews. After using it myself I can say that I am absolutely in love with this product. Here are some things I like:1. It gives moderate to high coverage2. It comes with a pump! I love the fact that it has a pump. You can just get out exactly how much you want without having extra drip out and having to put it back (unhygienic)or throw it.3. it's got so many shades to choose from. I know these days there are quite a few that provide shades for various skin tones but from drugstore brands I think this one has the most.4. and lastly, no breakouts! For a person like me who could have a breakout within literally an hour, this product really does help.I did pick up the wrong colour my first time and have now switched to a more suitable colour but that said the product is the same. I have been using this foundation now for almost a year and I cannot recommend it enough.

Colour : 340 Early TanThis Revlon ColorStay Foundation comes in a glass bottle with a black plastic pump action top. This is the new design, the older one being a screw top without a dispenser.I was interested to use this foundation because it is oil-free and should give a less shiny appearance than other foundations. I used this on top of my usual daily moisturiser and applied it with a damp cosmetic sponge for a flawless look. It gave good coverage and the colour for my slightly tanned face was a near perfect match. After applying the usual blusher and a touch of translucent powder, I went about my day waiting for the moment I would need to touch up the centre of my face with more powder – this didn't happen at all, even by the end of the day I didn't have shine or need to touch up. Very impressed.I'm used to using foundations at three times the price of this Revlon one and I'm pleased to say that it compares really well. I'm not saying it is as fine and flawless as my usual Lancome or Clarins, but this is a close second at a very affordable price. I will certainly look at this again when I next need to renew. The oil-free really makes a big difference and I didn't even use oil-free moisturiser.
