The initial reason I bought two of these is because a glass storage jar fell onto my ceramic hob and completely smashed it, so I bought these to protect it, and for safety reasons. I've got two of these, to cover both sides of the ceramic hob of my cooker. It's a god send if you have cats or small children because you can use them to cover a job that's switched off but still hot, as it's open at both sides and slightly raised from the hob it will cool and air, without direct contact I've ordered another because last night I inadvertently left a hob on, and 12 hours later the board is burnt underneath, but the house isn't burnt down, and my cats haven't been burnt.

One of the "feet" was loose on arrival. Just needed some extra glue. Otherwise a solid build. Two of these cover my hob easily though they don't have the clearance to cover the knobs on the side.

Absolutely fantastic board, I did a platter for my husbands 40th and it went down a treat. The board was such a nice touch, excellent delivery. Such a great price. Don’t hesitate buy it!!!

Bought to protect my new hob - they look great and the legs prevent the chopping board from resting directly on the surface. Easy to clean - great buy in my opinion and a reasonable price

Exactly as advertised. Brilliant. Not sure it would be good for heavy duty cutting, but I bought it as cover fo the hob, and it fits wonderfully well
