With the decline of so many game studios that make Visual Novels, I had all but given up on seeing a great one ever again. But Raging Loop smashed all expectations, combining mystery with J-Horror to create a very compelling narrative that sucks you in. The characters are well rounded and interesting (helped by strong voice acting as well), even the protagonist avoids the stereotype of being a passive self-insert which plagues the genre. All the solutions are subtly foreshadowed with the climax feeling fully earned by the denouement. There's plenty of post-game content as well to keep you occupied for many hours. Overall I can say without a doubt this was one of the best VNs I've ever played and definitely one of the few I will replay.As for negatives,my only real nitpicks were that the Dead Ends were a slight too many but then again I am the kind of masochist that deliberately goes for 100% scene completion so the average person would probably not see at least half of them. The more pressing complaint I have is the choice of the localisation to keep in the Japanese Honorifics which I completely disagree with as they can be conveyed through competent translation and their presence creates a barrier of entry to people less familiar with Japanese language and culture.Overall this was an amazing experience and I would heartily recommend checking it out if the premise sounds at all interesting to you. 10/10

I wasn't honestly expecting much from Raging Loop, I ordered it because I tend to like Visual Novels. It genuinely sat on my shelf for months before I randomly decided to play it, but oh man, I was hooked as soon as I began to play it. Raging Loop is a well written, eerie visual novel with a huge horror vibe. The game also has a mechanic in it that reminds me of the Zero Escape series, the flow chart which allows you to effortlessly jump to any unlocked point in the story much like in Zero Escape. This is 100% a visual novel so there's no real 'gameplay' so it might not be interesting for someone looking for something to do inbetween story, it's all story but a good story.One of favourite things about it is that all your choices do something in the end because of how the story is set up, you never feel like making a choice is bad because it can lead you to new information that will be useful later.I'd highly recommend this for any Visual Novel fan that's looking for a good horror visual novel and that doesn't mind the gory details being explained to them, there is some graphic descriptions of violence in the game so be warned if you're sensitive to that stuff.

It's been a long time since I found a visual novel that actually gripped me, let alone kept me up for long hours at night wanting to know what happened next. Raging Loop's multiple paths and endings, deep levels of mystery and lore and range of interesting and deep characters, each with their own complex and dark histories, has kept me coming back for more and more. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in horror, mystery, Japanese lores and myth. The visual violence is next to zero but the descriptions are quite graphic and some psychological horror to watch out for. The true ending is worth pushing towards,but even then there is SO much to discover once the game has been "completed" - definitely worth the price tag!!

I love horror stories, this visual novel provided a very interesting one. There are many different endings and each unlocks keys enabling you to go back to previous playthroughs and unlock different choices. It is easy to get to grips with, you just need to read the story and make choices at certain points. This type of game is not for everyone but I loved it. I also thought it was nicely presented with the inclusion of the art book. I would definitely recommend this for fans of horror, Japanese games and interesting stories.

Love this game, nice flowing storyline. Great graphics. Love the graphic book that came with the game. Definitely going to get more in the series.
