My amplifier can finally breathe. We've a couple of Electrostatics and they can be a little "critical" sounding. After years of the functional PhonoUSB pre amp, popping in the DS+ made a beautiful difference! My go-to test albums, Tricky and Jeff Buckley sounded immediately ore dynamic, wider and brighter (but not harsh) and also had a gorgeous low-mid bloom which didn't muddy the sound. A little more gain also brought more life to the Sonab table but I imagine higher gains harshening up that ≤3k region.I can't speak to the differences between many phono pre amps but I love the life that it's brought to my vinyl.

I replaced my good old "simple" Project phono stage with this one. Oh boy, oh boy, this relative (comparing to my other hifi hiend devices) small and affordable, is simply amazing. I never in my life did own an high end phono stage. This one is a dream come true. You can read the reviews all over the net for pro detailed information... I am a music lover who can testify...my whole vinyl library will never sound the same. I am so happy with it. If you are hesitating... My suggestion is, go for it. You can't go wrong. Have fun.

I honestly could not believe the improvement in sound quality over the built in phono stages. I have a top of the range Arcam amplifier from the mid naughties and thought that it was okay until I bought this. The beauty of this device is that not only is the sound quality much better, you can tweak the various settings to tune the sound quality. I was a bit pessimistic at first (to want to have a separate phono stage) but I am truly converted now!

Outstanding. Far better than the onboard MM modules in very good amps such as the Roksan K3. So it is essential if you add a high end turntable e.g. Linn or Avid to a CD based hifi system.

My hifi was fantastic, I only bought this to satisfy my curiosity. Now I can’t live without it and would highly recommend it. The change is very subtle but well worth the investment
