I haven't finished all three games yet so will review them as I go along:1. The Sands of TimeFirst played this on the PS2 a few years ago and got stuck right at the end with the infamous wall jump downwards. I therefore played this through with a feeling of dread (I hate not finishing games) but managed the accursed jumps first time without any trouble whatsoever. I don't know whether the game has been tweaked (I doubt it) or I just learned the trick (time the jumps and hold down the jump key was what worked in my experience).Anyway, the updated visuals of TSoT are good enough not to offend though needless to say poor in comparison to modern standards. The gameplay remains unchanged and (although a little dated)is still fun. The combat remains a little frustrating at times and repetitive beyond belief (especially on the third playthrough (see later)). The camera still drives you mad at times especially on the elevator level where I kept dying because the camera got stuck behind a banner! The acrobatics are still fun (if rediculous) though at times I found it hard to know what to do next largely due to that annoying camera again. Wall-jumping still remains a frustration at times (especially when trying for the Games Master trophy) but fortunately you can rewind time to calm your nerves long enough to stop you screeching "why won't you jump you useless ****** etc etc" before hurling your controller across the room in a mad rage.Overall TSoT is a good experience and a worthwhile purchase if a little dated. Platinum is fairly easy and will not take long unless (like me) you use gamingdragon91's sand cloud guide and have to play through again from the start because you missed one of the very first sand clouds oddly omitted from the guide and randomly stuck elsewhere. Sigh.2. Warrior WithinFirst impressions: arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh((Where TSoT is an enjoyable blast from the past, WW is an aboration....ProsImproved combatGreat platformingGreat new movesComplex and funDifficult to conquer but satisfyingChallengingNot glitchy!ConsConfusing storyline and level designHorribly difficult particularly on hardDull look , hard to distinguish features eg. ropes!

Prince Of Persia: Trilogy for PS3, published by Ubisoft, is the collection of the Prince Of Persia - The Sands Of Time Trilogy games that have been remastered in 720p HD and includes the option of playing the trilogy in full stereoscopic 3D (3D TV required). The Sands Of Time Trilogy is the collection of the following games; Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time, Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones. These games focus on the Prince as he attempts to undo the mistakes of his past and undo the curse of the Sands Of Time. The games themselves are excellent value for money and offer a huge amount of gameplay hours (at least 35 hours). Also the games themselves have aged quite well both graphically and gameplay wise, with only Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time looking slightly dated with its cutscene graphics and combat. The trilogy of games all follow a story based style of gameplay with a blend of acrobatics to move the Prince through the environment and combat to defeat his enemies, with some special powers to add an extra dimension to the games. Of the games themselves Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time is quite lighthearted, Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within is a much darker game and more combat based and Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones attempts to strike a balance between the two.Overall, this is a truly fantastic trilogy that should appeal to any Prince Of Persia fan and to almost any gaming fan in general. If you have enjoyed Prince Of Persia: Trilogy then I would recommend

I totally agree with the other reviewers about this collection. Three great games that are hard to compare them to something else. Fans of the PS2 versions will be pleased with the the ports. They are near faithfull with only a few minor hiccups. The graphics stand up well today but it is clear that it is just a HD revamp. WW still remains the hardest of the three but is no less enjoyable, aside from the devilish difficulty of the title. The reason im giving it only 4 instead of the 5 it deserves is the sound bugs. All three are full of sound bugs. Voices do not play loud enough which is less of an issue if subtitles are turned on though SoT lacks a subtitle feature. Strange 'ticking'noises are also frequented in the first title. Lastly the soundtrack on WW has been slightly changed. Now its just your 'vanilla' guitar riff. Its a bit dissapointing as the original helped you get pumped up for the fights. I honestly cant remember but im sure two godsmack album tracks were featured on the game, now its only one and of that one the vocals have been taken out. Maybe as ubi lost the rights? I dont know But thats just a fanboy rant from someone how enjoyed the original version. Nothing wrong with the music, just not as I remembered.Well worth anyones well earned pounds and a great showcase of PoP for a new generation of younger gamers.

The main reason for me buying these games was that i really liked them a long time ago when i played them on a computer. Take that in consideration also when reading this review :).Played all of them for around 10h each and finished the entire series, so there is not that much content (but i've also seen less in other games so it's not a con, just not a pro), the good side of this is that : the game doesn't get boring: (since it's not my first time that might also be a reason why i didn't spend too much time finishing this game)The first one is pretty chill, easy, a good game to play after you come from a busy day at work. The second on is a bit more violent, and the bugs can be a bit frustrating, but you can google them :). Apart from that it's pretty ok, a bit more fighting, nice story, 2 endings. The third one, which many consider the best, has a nice stealth feature which can give you a choice : either you just rung around swinging your sword at all the crosses your path, or you just kill them with swift strikes of your dagger from behind.Even though the second one is buggy i still like the collection and i would recommend it to everyone that wants it for the collectors value or just to play a nice rpg.

Lets forget the last seven years ever happened and rewind time (no pun intended) to 2003 when Prince Of Persia made the leap to the next gen consoles of the time - (ps2 , x-box and game cube for those of you who don't know)the graphics were amazing the game play was ground breaking (It's Influenced so much including Assassins Creed)and the story was great with a classical Arabian nights feel this game was followed up by two sequels (warrior within and the two thrones) that added more violence but remained breath taking experienceseven years latertwo games and one dire film later and these games have been re-released on Ps3 and they remain just as amazing as ever in fact I don't think anythinghas changed at all not even the graphics but while you may think the graphics are rubbish compared to uncharted 2 or god of war 3 I disagree while the graphics aren't great I see a artistic side to the games design that I have never noticed beforeSo for 30+ hours and trophy support this is defiantly worth picking up instantly(by the way the manual contains some spoilers so if you are new to the games you have been warned)

After owning the 3 PS2 versions, the PS3 remake is great value for money, having all 3 games on 1 disc with trophy support. The HD overhaul doesn't seem that impressive, although it has been a long time since I have played the PS2 originals so maybe I was expecting graphics closer to PS3 standard. As for gameplay, it is solid, but in my opinion the games haven't aged well in the fact that similar PS3 titles have better physics and a more fluid movement. To conclude, it's well worth the money, you get a slightly different game each time (be it more puzzle orientated, or the action packed 'warrior within' with it's metal soundtrack). The puzzles are fun, working out where to go next isn't frustrating, and combat becomes beautifully choreographed. This is a view coming from an experienced gamer across most genres and nearly all platforms, who (maybe unfortunatley) places story and graphics above gameplay most of the time. But in this instance, it was the gameplay that won me over in the first place with PoP, with the story and graphics being overlooked.

This is exactly what's good about these HD remakes, many many hours of game, with great gameplay for a discount price.I'd only previously played 'Warrior Within' and it was one of my favorite games on the PS2, so i decided a HD version of that would be worth the £25 alone. But when i completed it and decided to dip into the sands of time, BOY was I suprised. It's SO different, the gameplay is very similar but the feel and art design is a million miles away, but not worse or better. It's just completely fresh compared to Warrior Within so i'm excited to dip my feet into Two Thrones at some point soon. What does this have to do with the review? Well it means i'd recomend this extra highly because of the fact each game feels so fresh yet familiar,it's not like the God of War collection where it's basically one very long game for budget price, this is 3 unique brilliantly designed games for only £17.I keep mentioning the price... yeah, because it's ONLY 17 QUID. Get it!Rory.

Seen as there is three games in this package which by the way si great value for money.I'm going to talk about them one by one.Sands Of TimeThis is probably my favourite although the fighting can get a little repetive and the graphics a little dated. This game has the puzzles and a fantastic storyline.Warrior WithinThis is my third favourite and the graphics aren't as dated in this one the storyline is good and the puzzles are still very good but the fighting has taken on new form and it is very interesting with just the right amount of combos. The Two ThronesMy second favourite has great graphics, great storyline, great fighting. this sounds to be thge best of the buncb but to me it is not.i like the slightly dark and light side toi this one as WW was very dark and SOT was very light and almost peaceful.

POP is undoubtedly one of the best games I have played, and getting them for PS3 for just 10 bucks was really amazing. Well, a lot has been told about the graphics and music, but to end it, you cannot judge a whole game due to few gliches and few sound tracks. Overall, Prince of Persia will always be a classic game (the movie was made because of the game and not the other way round). And for me, getting this all three in one blue-ray is great. It is really great to have it as a collection.Well, not much of a party game, since it is only single player, but I am sure any of your guest will like to see the great visuals and the acrobatic fight sequences :)

28.5.2012

These are some of the best games ever made. This disk contains the prince of persia trilogy telling the story of a prince who releases the sands of time and then has to put things right. The story is a interesting one, the locations are exotic and the characters are good, the dark prince in the two thrones especially (he's a kind of persian Tyler Durden and alot of fun as he harasses the prince during the game).Gameplay is fantastic with a great mix of combat, puzzles and acrobatics that are second to none.At the price you pay this trilogy is a great deal and every gamer should give it a go, i dont think you'd be disapointed.

I bought this as I played the first two on Ps2 but missed the last installment. This is a great package at a decent price - and a must have for fans of the Prince.Graphically these games have aged quite well, suprisingly enough the first scrubbing up the nicest. There are a few bug issues (not many) but these games are just as great as before, and look ace and run smoothly on blu-ray. I'm loving playing this series over again, and can't wait to see how the trilogy ends.A great adventure, one for all action/adventure gamers and a fantastic piece of nostalgia. A great buy.

21.8.2011

The original prince of persia troligy for ps2 back in its day was amazing, really set standards for many games around today, and it was really sad losing them with the release of ps3, but buying this really does restore the classics, the HD is great, the 3D is amazing (if you have a 3D tv) and with trophie features it really is a nice package.Game has all 3 games, Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thronesto sum up nice and short, this is worth getting, absolutly a must, far far better than prince of persia 4 and that prince of persia unforgettable sands.

17.4.2012

I had already these games for the PS2, which I had enjoyed a lot. For the price, trying it on the PS3 was a no-brainer; but I do not think that there is a (much) better image quality -and I could not enable 3D on my old monitor-.And then, the migration to PS3 was not perfect; in the first game, some artifacts appear from time to time on the screen making it unplayable; which is really a problem after some of the long fights!Summary: only get it if the price is really low -or you do not own the PS2 or the PS2 games-.

30.5.2012

It is a "must have" trilogy for any Prince of Persia fan. Other gamers enjoying similar game types like Assassin Creed will also find it enjoyable. The three games are perfect as such but there is one thing which can be annoying sometimes such as out of synchronisation audio and video and strange noises from time to time. This does not affect your experience but makes you wonder if this could have been done better. Overall it is a good set, containing all 3 titles in HD which is simply marvellous. Kakulukia!

17.8.2012

I really dont know how people dont think this is hd and it looks exactly like the ps2 version. The hd up scale looks very good i think the best yet it even looks better than the god of war hd collection which many think is amazing. These 3 games are a bargain at this price and its well worth the buy. These games are one of my all time favourites and if your a fan like me they wont disappoint and also dont listen to the bad reviews they dont know what they are talking about. Easy 30 hours of gameplay here :)
