Playmobil 6685 City Life Children's Hospital ambulance is one excellent toy which is designed to provide huge fun but also for me I found it to be very educational. This provided loads of fun and for me personally, I am so glad that toy companies are starting to believe and actually design toys which are not either the usual kitchen for a girl and a garage for a boy (I use this as an example).The toy is well made and has everything a child will relate to when thinking about an emergency ambulance, the action figures are sturdy as well as designed in such a way even a young child will immediately relate to them and even provide their imagination to grow.The toy does need batteries to provide the necessary noises and lights,and these are easily switched off.Why I like this toy is that it is not aimed at either boy or girl as both of them will have a lot of fun playing with this. It is aimed at ages three years old and above, and I must say some caution must be used as there are small pieces which could be seen as a choking hazard.This is a wonderful toy which is well designed, brilliant colours and so much more. One reason I do like this toy as I was able to explain why the ambulance is there to help people and not to fear it, plus it was interesting to see the children's views of it, especially the youngest.I am happy to recommend Playmobil 6685 City Life Children's Hospital ambulance as a brilliant toy which will provide hours of fun and education.

This is a fantastic Playmobil ambulance. It comes with three characters - two adults and a child which allow for lots of fun play. The adults are dressed in fluorescent jackets which can not be removed and are clearly meant to be the ambulance drivers. The little boy comes with removable leg, arm and head bandages which only fit on small playmobil figures but this does allow children to add bandages to other smaller playmobil figures if they want too. There is also a stretcher that slides into the ambulance well and other items such as a doctor's bag and oxygen tank.The ambulance itself is well built and has a sliding door and a removable lid for children to access the inside,as well as a back door that opens. There is room for many figures to fit inside even with the stretcher inside. There is also room inside the cab for two other figures and although the doors do not open on the cab, children can access it by the removable roof and windscreen.The ambulance is complete with flashing lights and two different sirens which can be activated by pressing a button. Please note that there are no batteries included in the box and one AAA battery is required.There is some assembly required before the ambulance can be played with but it does not take too long and is very simple.This is a great playmobil product and I would definitely recommend.

Playmobil have always been favourite toys in our house and so we were delighted to receive this ambulance to review. Like all Playmobil toys, this is part of a range - in this case the City Life range. If you want to extend the set you can buy a children's hospital, a rescue helicopter and even a maternity room!Like all Playmobil toys, this does need to be assembled. Although my children will happily put Lego together, they do find Playmobil fiddly and so I had to help. However, it did not take too long and, once made, you get a really good toy, which offers lots of play value.Firstly, this ambulance has a working siren (batteries are needed) and lots of other accessories.Some of these are very small and this toy is certainly not for toddlers, or young children who may still put toys in their mouth, as all Playmobil is full of choking hazards. For older children, though, this is a lot of fun. You get three figures, a bed/stretcher, medical bag, charts, bandages and a whole host of little accessories to treat your patient. It is easy for children to access the inside of the ambulance and, overall, this has the quality and detail you expect from Playmobil.

I want to play with this with my granddaughters. They have recently seen one of their grandfathers being taken to hospital by ambulance. That seems scary. This toy is a wonderful way to explain what is inside an ambulance and why it needs to make so much noise with the siren and flashing lights.Playmobil toys are very well made, bright colourful and encourage imaginative play.Also this ambulance and crew are not gender specific.One of the things I really like about this ambulance is that both the cab and ambulance roof can be removed so you can get your hands right inside.You can place the driver in position and place the patient and paramedic in the back.The stretcher slides on to a gurney which slides into position inside the ambulance and there is an IV fluid drip for the patient.There is a choice of bandages, head, arm and foot.Other playmobil kits in this range can join with this one to create different scenarios.The lights and sound require a AAA battery.This range of playmobil kits can be used to teach young children about road safety. By including some of the other kits you can act out all kinds of accidents and also how to avoid them.

A fantastic concept. I just really like the fact that there are play things for young children that depict such positive influences and valuable professions rather than non-descript dolls and toy kitchen appliances.It does take some assembly and is not playable out of the box as it doesn't even have its wheels on but that can be incorporated into the fun as well though adults or older siblings are needed to help pretty much for all of the assembley. The detail is very nice; I love the side sliding door (via clever implementation of a hinge) and the characters are nice. My only grip is that the internal packing could be better. Whilst all the small parts were contained in plastic bags,one of the ambulance doors had come off in transit and there was a consequential small scratch on the ambulance windscreen. Not the end of the world but now that I'm aware of it the scratch always catches the eye which is a shame. A nice product though and does build into quite a set if you want to go down the route of buying the actual hospital etc.

Absolutely spot on for fun and play. Playmobil toys are made of high quality materials and last long enough to hand down the generations. This particular toy and ambulance is great for all children, it stimulates imagination and provides hours of play. Take note that it has flashing lights and a siren that likes to be pressed a lot.The vehicle is a good size, is easily assembled and can be pushed around, accessories and figures are included great for the budding medic whether they are boys or girls.While Playmobil can be expensive, like Lego it can last forever and this is what makes it such good value for money. My children still play with figures that are over 15 years old.A great product which is robust and will give years and years of play.Only one minor point to be aware of, they do have lots of little accessory pieces and so should be kept away from very small children so it is important to take note of the age guidelines.

Really good ambulance lots of detail with the little accessories you get a drip oxygen tank fire extinguisher medical bag stretcher all sorts really good attention to detail. Only criticism is I feel sorry for the little boy you get with it as he has a fractured skull a broken arm and broken leg, he must of been in a really bad accident lol. It lights up and you can even change the siren sound it had 2 settings which my son is really happy with I would defiantly recommend it is the best ambulance toy I have seen for a child I think the attention to detail is really good but that is one of the things I think is really good about playmobil,my son thinks so too and I think he enjoys playing with people like real life instead of having to use something like barbie dolls which are more his sisters thing.

Playmobil is always a hit in our house and this one is no exception. The Children's Hospital Ambulance is a treat with working lights and sound. The top comes off to provide easy access for little hands. The bed adjusts and rear doors open.This is a bright and colourful toy that will spark any imagination and also help explain the need for emergencies. The ambulance would go alongside other toys in the range such as rescue helicopter and police cars.This would be fun for boys and girls alike but be aware there are small pieces that could present choking hazards. It is recommended for ages three and up.

I have found memories of play Mobil toys as a child in the 80s, they were always fun and imaginative, simple but will thought out.This hasn't changed over the decades. These toys are well made and great to play with.This ambulance is a good example of what party Mobil is all about. The attention to detail is high yet not overly done, there are a few parts to be put together but it's simple enough and feels will made when complete.It has working lights and several small items to play with. As it has small parts is definitely avoid giving this to young children.Love this!

The quality of detail and manufacture of this toy is extraordinary. There's gentle adult humour in the small details, extraordinary playability and tactility, and robustness of materials that speaks of enduring play value. It does require a little putting together from the box, including some fiddly stickers to be applied, which might have been better as printed pieces, and several small, and emminently loseable parts, but these are minor niggles. Every person I know who has picked this toy up, adult, small child or medium, loves it.

This is another fun Playmobil set with great attention to detail which adds to the interaction and extra absorption into an imaginary world.My girls aleady have some other sets including police and pirates.Just be aware to keep away from really small children as some of the pieces are small.Hours of fun action for your children as they save the day, and some time for you to catch up on the essentials of cooking or sports or snoozing.

Fantastic quality. Sturdy build, well designed and loads of extras. Great toy tested out by close family friend who is a doctor to play with alongside his 7 year old twins, a boy and girl. He has had great fun, as did they, and he got to do quite unexpected things like answer questions that came up about his job. A huge success.

Grandad bought this for my daughter who is 8, was worried it would be too young for her but she loves it and it is full of realistic parts.It is well made and very realistic, I would highly recommend but it does have lots of small parts which younger children may swollen

We have bought several sets in the City Life collection and this Ambulance is a great addition. Playmobil seem to make toys of a very high quality and which are very attractive. All elements we have purchased have been excellent in stimulating young imaginations.

Love it, my little grandson of four has me on the floor constantly playing, It is to be fair kept at nans house so is something he doesn't play with everyday but he really does love playing with it.Wonderfully boxed and presented, perfect for 4 upwards.
