I loved Playmobil as a child so I was delighted to discover they made products specifically for young children.Bought for a 15m old, they took to it immediately, enjoying putting the animals and Noah and Na'ama in to the ark and taking them out again, and sometimes popping them underneath for bed. Latterly much joy is taken in trying to balance the animals on top of one another and build a tower - the elephants make a very sturdy base for a zebra or lion to stand on!Have also taken all the animals on holiday without the ark and they have still been thoroughly enjoyed and played with - the fact they come in pairs means you get a lot of pieces and good value for money.

Finally, a Noah's Ark that is neither flimsy nor cheapo looking!My 4 year old son LOVES Noah's Ark toys but he swiftly destroyed the last one, a lovely wooden toy that was not made for actual play, apparently.But this Playmobil Noah's Ark was designed for destructive wee boys in mind! The entire Ark is a sturdy chunky toy, with equally sturdy and chunky animal pairs. I was very impressed by the quality of both the boat and the animal toys! Best of all, everything stores inside of the Ark, which then snaps shut at bow and stern and carries easily with the handle at the top. You certainly get what you pay for with this sturdy and brightly coloured toy.

My son (13 months) really loves his ark. He is obviously too young to do pretend play but it looks to be one of the rare toys that will actually grow with him. He enjoys taking the animals in and out of the ark and opening and closing the hatch on the ark. He has learned to roar like a lion by playing with his ark. The animals store inside the ark- great for visiting grand parents. From what I understand the playmobil toys are manufactured in Germany and therefore hopefully free from nasty harmful plastic additives which is another bonus since my son still puts everything into his mouth and chews.

This was a firm favourite with my 2 year old niece this christmas. The product was one of the the few children's toys we had this year where you just took it out of the box and played with it. It wasn't screwed into the box, unlike other toys and came with minimal packaging. This product will stand the test of time, the pieces are chunky and the animals are really lovely with moveable parts. All pieces fit into the ark itself so it is easily stored and my niece loves to do this and carry it around like a little handbag. A great buy for little imaginations!

I chose this for my busy son to give his niece on her first birthday. It is brilliant! Just what you expect from playmobil, well made, easy to clean, size of pieces good for small hands but not to small that they could fit in mouth. Nice bright colours and the ark has good space for little hands to place things easily in and out. This caught her attention out of a mountain of presents, and I can see that it is definitely something she will still be wanting to play with for years to come. I am a children's worker and will be buying this for the playgroups.

I bought this just after my baby was born to help entertain my 2yr old and 4yr old. My husband loves playmobil but I wanted something more suitable for little ones so thought I'd try the 123 range.The pieces have the same sturdy feel and detail of playmobil but are bigger and more chunky, the kids loved it! The other great plus for me was having two of all the animals with this set, which cut down arguments in our house, and it can all be packed away neatly inside the arc. I've bought other 123 items now which I really like but this is my favourite.

My twins love this - they make me open it several times a day. It is great that it tidies away nicely - they can take it to their friend's houses and it's easy to transport.They love making the animal sounds and pretending the animals are walking up the ramp. Also, it is a good tool for teaching your child to tidy up after they've finished playing. They love putting the animals bac and watching me fasten the lid down. I have to open it again quite soon after though.

I bought this for my two year old son for Christmas, as his cousins had it and it was the first thing he played with when visiting. He loves acting out stories with the figures and animals, and if your child has a imagination like mine they will get up to all sorts of capers! The animals are great for teaching your child about different types of animals too. A fab product as always from playmobil.

Bought this as a present for my 2 year old niece who is animal mad. She loves it, especially the fact that she can carry it round with her. In typical Playmobil style it's tough and colourful and encourages imaginative play, although a couple of the pieces may be too small for younger ones. Her older brother (5) has even enjoyed a few games with it too. All in all, a good buy.

The toy has been a great success and played with all over Christmas. It is a very colourful and practical toywhich has given my granddaughter much pleasure over Christmas putting the animals on the boat two by two.It is solid and the only criticism I would have is that the room for the animal on the top as they go into the ark is a bit small.Otherwise good solid toy.

Both my young children enjoy playing with this. It is sturdy and not easily broken. Has led to great discussions about boats and Arks and animals. The children have added all their toy animals to the Ark now - it is full to bursting! The way the animals can be stored inside is a great way to not lose them and the carrying handle is a bonus. Would recommend.

My grand daughter loves this set. To begin with she just liked to carry the little people around but now she likes to set it up and walk the animals up the plank and into the Arcs. She matches the animal pairs and makes what she thinks is the correct animal sounds!! Playmobil are wonderful to help and see childrens development.

Lovely product. The lid of the ark opens up to reveal the animals inside and can be placed back on top for play and the ladder added for play. The plastic toy is strong with a good amount of animals provided and the colours are lovely. A good size toy not too big either. Very happy with purchase, great for imaginative play.

A welcome item with biblical context for our church based toddler group. The animals are beautiful and everything wonderfully tactile as with all Playmobile. The fact that all the pieces fit into the ark is a great bonus on space issues and much appreciated.The way the animals stay on the ladder is most appreciated.

Strong and attractive. My three year old grandson loves it. However I feel the animals could be a little smaller thus making room for a few more. Also if it is to be educational in that it relates to the story of Noah and the flood why are Noah and his wife dressed as modern day people instead of looking authentic ?
