After several weeks of refusing to give us any Christmas ideas apart from an orange and a yo yo, my daughter finally spotted this in a toy shop and we could hardly drag her away. She adores it, although I find the boy on the bike, who is obviously meant to have a nasty accident, quite disturbing! The characters under a 4 year olds imagination don't seem to meet with such unfortunate incidents. It also managed to keep her grandfather occupied for most of Christmas night as he put it together for her. There are a lot of pieces to get lost (or hoovered up) several bits that break off easily, but luckily can be put back on and the lights continue to flash for several minutes before stopping- no override facility.

I admit I'm sad in that I love all playmobil! But the fact I worked in a hospital for my gapyear and am now at medical school means i particularly love the medical series! The ambulance is amazing- unfortunately it ground our department to a halt for an hour or so because everyone was sitting on the staffroom floor playing with it! There's so many cute little features on it- the flashing lights, the mobile phone for the paramedic, the oxygen tank and mask, the IV drug set, and the gurney, just to name a few!I'd recommend this to anyone- we all loved playing with it! I'm sure that children would enjoy it as well :P!I'd obviously also recommend the medical rescue helicopter to go with this!

My four-year-old grandson loves his ambulance. He enjoys being able to fit the wheels, roof, lights etc back on again himself when they come off, but I do wonder how long it will last as taking the bits off and putting them back on again seem to be a feature of this toy. His twenty-month-old sister has pinched the bike and the three people who are lined up in her dolls' cot. I didn't give five stars because I think the toy itself is suitable for a 3-5 year-old but there is an unnecessary amount of fiddley odds and ends which get lost and the concept of intravenous drips etc is lost on a child of that age.

The usual quality and attention to detail from Playmobil - bandages, drip, tubes, stretcher etc all well-designed and add to the emergency situation atmosphere. The vehicle itself is definitely the star as far as my 3&5 yr boys are concerned; flashing lights same as the police car, lots of doors etc and the front windowscreen comes off for access to the front seats. I would agree with other reviewers that some of the bits are pretty fiddly, easily pulled off or lost...but then that's part of the intricate Playmobil detailing that is so much fun, too!

This was the big hit for my three year old son this Christmas! We gave him the ambulance, people and trolley, and put away all the smaller bits that came with it, and he absolutley loves it. It's mid January now and he has played with it for a good few hours every day since Christmas with no sign of waining interest. I have never been a fan of plastic toys and this is in fact the first plastic toy he had had, but Playmobil is good quality and doesnt look tacky, and at my sons age he really needs a bit more. We're really pleased with it.

My children have had hours of fun playing with their playmobil - there's so much detail and so many little bits and bobs that comes with it! The only down side is that the pieces are easily lost - this ambulance comes with some bandages and we only have one or two left now as theres nowhere in the ambulance to keep them that they wont easily fall out.Apart from that, this is a great toy - mine love the flashing light on the roof, and I love that it doesnt make an annoying, loud noise!!

I bought this for my five year old after he had been in an ambulance and like all playmobil he was really excited to get it. We put it together and maybe some people are just better organised than us but within days, all the bits and pieces were scattered to the four corners of the house and it had been relegated to the other muddled up piles of playmobil we have in various places all over the house. It is a lovely toy though and no doubt it will come out again one day.

As expected this ambulance is up to the usual high standard of Playmobil. There are lots of small parts (I.V. drips, bandages etc) but these can be saved until the child is old enough to appreciate them.Along with the "child in a wheelchair" and "hospital room" this set allows plenty of opportunity for role play following the road traffic accident through to the patient being admitted to the hospital ward. Great stuff!

My son loves this toy (I removed most of the small bits, as I gave it to him when he was only 4). The only complaint he has is that the ambulance lights up (for quite a few minutes actually) bue does not make a sound. I guess boys like it noisy! Regardless, it is a nice set, and contains a cool little bike (the accident victim is riding) and some props for mending the victim.

Just a wonderful toy. My little boy aged four, loves playing with it. He's had it a few months now and just does not bore of it. There are so many wonderful features. Such super attention to detail. Many of his friends who play with it, end up asking their mums for one for their birthdays. Will not disappoint!

Quality good but did not expect to have to assemble wheels. Very small parts that are difficult for child to handle and fix in place. If baby in the family care is needed to keep out of reach. Grandson loves the ambulance although it is slightly smaller than I anticipated.

Playmobil does it again. We've yet to be disappointed in any of the sets we've brought for our son. They provide hours of fun and our son enjoys playing with this along side his fire engine - of course he's now after a police car to complete the emergency services!

As usual a great playmobil product. Took some time to assemble on a very busy Christmas morning as lots of fiddly parts and stickers. My 3 year old loves playing with it along with his playmobil fire engine and police cars. I secretly love assembling them as we'll.

Bought this for my Grandsons 3rd birthday and we have since spent a morning playing with it. Very sturdy toy, as I have since seen him sitting on it - Can only liken it to Lego for its durability will be buying him more Playmobil.

This was purchased as a gift, the ambulance was smaller than I expected and therefore the individual items were very small and the child's parents decided to remove them to prevent any accidents. Otherwise it appears to be ok.
